Burt & Max's Bar and Grille Ratings and Reviews
Pros: we were seated quickly ( plenty of seats available). Cons: food and drink were horrible. I ordered a watermelon cocktail and it was soooo sour that the waitress had to changed it twice and that did not do any good. I had to order a different drink that the waitress suggested and that tasted like water-down juice, tasted like no alcohol at all🙁. My husband ordered the korean bowl and the vegetable that comes with it tasted spoiled. We were so disappointed because all the food pics and cocktail drinks they have on yelp looks so delicious. At the same time we felt bad that we did not want to tell the waitress about it because we were having problems already from the beginning of our experience with my drink🙁 so my husband ended up eating only the meat which was also bland. We will definitely not coming back nor recommend this place at all.
We had Thanksgiving dinner there last year & figured it would b just as good this year. We were very disappointed with the food because it was prepared & warmed over, the portion size was mini & they used food enhancers for flavor like MSG.
Which caused my headache the next morning.
We will look for another restaurant for next year.
Met a girlfriend for lunch. Wait staff was terrific. Can't say enough good things about him. Food was delicious, and the lunch specials were varied and interesting. I got the wings. They were fabulous. Not the run of the mill. Kudos to Burt & Max. I'll definitely return.

We've eaten at Burt & Max's a number of times. It's basically upscale bar food - the usual appetizers, burgers, fries, some salads for the health-conscious, and a somewhat limited number of other entrees, but all well-prepared. We've found the service to be generally attentive, but the restaurant is crowded (be prepared to wait, even with an Open Table reservation), and it's definitely not the place for a quiet romantic meal. Recommended if you're in the neighborhood or shopping in the Delray Marketplace shopping center where it's located.
Food was unique and tasty. Nobody had a bad meal and some of the dishes webwould order again. Convenient local restaurant with a large bar and comfortable dining booths. Service was outstanding and the meals enjoyable. Try the onion soup dumplings for a deconstructed onion soup that was excellant and shareable.
I had dined at Burt and Max for lunch. I had the chopped 🥗. It was very good. I went back again for dinner and ordered the chopped salad with the margherti pizza 🍕. The salad was smaller and the pizza had no taste. I will stick to happy hour. The drinks are great and so are the appetizers
