Burrata is one of our favorite dinner spots in South Philly. It feels so intimate and cozy - perfect for a date or a family meal. Love that it's BYOB too. The food is amazing, service is so welcoming and accommodating. It's just all you would want in a neighborhood restaurant.
Fantastic date night byo spot! Loved loved loved the gnocchi
Magnificent service. Exceptional food. Wonderful, warm vibe.
Best Italian in the city!
In a word delicious. Low key. Simple food perfectly prepared.
A wonderful, neighborhood restaurant. We were so happy to be able to dine there after so long because of the Pandemic. We will be back soon!
Service was excellent and pasta was great!
We were visiting Philie and had an outstanding dining experience at Burrata. The lemon butter sauce for the pork chop and polenta was exceptional. We’re hoping to return soon for another great Italian meal 🥘
So glad we finally went to Burrata. Food was delicious. The gnocchi in mushroom sauce in particular was divine. We sat at an outdoor table on the sidewalk but there were not too many people walking by so it didn't feel cramped. Service was lovely, not rushing us even though my dinner partner arrived 20 minutes late! I will definitely go back!
We came to Burrata for our anniversary. Upon being seated it took about 20 minutes for them to come take our order. We ordered Brussels sprouts and octopus to start. The octopus was hard to chew and the Brussels were nothing special. My fiancé got the special pasta for dinner and I ordered the salmon. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. The table next to us - who ordered 20 minutes after us - got their food before us. Their party was larger (3) and they also got the salmon. I asked where our food was and they said it was coming out. 15 minutes later we get our food and my salmon is raw in the center. I hate to be that person but I can’t eat raw salmon (unless is it sushi grade). I sent back the salmon and they made another. Another 10-15 minutes goes by and my second salmon comes out... still raw. I sent it back and told them I didn’t want another. They came over and asked if we wanted dessert; never asked if I wanted to try something else. We of course didn’t want dessert after the above experience. They then offered “dessert on the house”. Kind but no. When they brought the check out the guy (not sure if he was manager - appeared that way) said “i took the salmon off the check”. As if it was him doing me a favor. I will never come here again.
Great classic Italian food with fresh ingredients. Nice neighborhood spot. It was our first visit, but we plan to return often.
Fantastic neighborhood gem. Food was flavorful, cozy, inviting, and fun. Not fussy or arrogant, but cooked with love, execution, and straight from the heart. My favorite was the Burrata dish, a cold cheese dish with the seductively sumptuous balsamic glaze and the best thin-sliced prosciutto I ever had (thankfully not too salty as it was packed with flavor). The bread was fantastic for mopping up the rich tomato based seafood app.
My wife and I loved the seafood spaghetti dish, although the dark brown (think buckwheat) spaghetti surprised us at first. The rich white wine broth and clams were fantastic, but the noodles were perplexing and intriguing (and fantastic!). The whole wheat made it seem like it might be tough but it was smooth and chewy, while still hearty. And yet it almost felt too soft and about melt, although there was a firm elasticity to it! The scallops risotto was rich and decadent. Temp was good. The service was good, the outdoor ambience was wonderful, the napkin's blue-gray hue resonated with my wife, and the plates were gorgeous.
Overall, it was excellent and worthy of going back and recommending to friends and family. The meal may not have been technically flawless (the delicious octopus could stand to be grilled or cooked a tad longer), but it was still perfectly authentic, heartfelt, and admirably executed. It straddled the fine line between elevated/elegant and homey. It accomplished what it set out to do and delivered on what one would expect!
We live outside the city, so we won't be able to visit often, which may be good, because this is such a fine neighborhood establishment—if I lived nearby, I'd definitely be in danger of blowing my monthly dining budget!
Great experience. Delicious food. Wonderful wait staff.
Great neighborhood spot with elevated food. Burrata also had a great atmosphere.
Wonderful fresh pasta. We had 4 different pastas.?5 stars
The food was all fantastic!! However, the gnocchi was Exceptional!!
Everything was fabulous as usual! We enjoyed the lobster rav and pappardelle. Burrata app is a must!
Such a gem in the neighborhood and honestly such a nice group of people. All the staff (including a busser) went above and beyond to make our dinner the most enjoyable it could be without us even asking.
Didn’t realized they don’t sell wine and what’s authentic italian without wine. The place was empty and we requested a table close to the wall to feel more comfortable and safe although they were available it was refused. Food was incredible never had I experienced more authentic food. It was fresh and simply delicious.
We had high hopes going in & the food was great. Honestly my big reason for the not-so-favorable review is our waitress was hovering over us the entire meal. We were unable to really enjoy conversation or our food as the waitress came up to us about 5 times during our entrée to see if we had finished.
Great neighborhood BYOB! Pasta dishes and burrata appetizer were delicious!
Burrata never fails to deliver an exceptional dining experience! Consistent delicious food, excellent service make this a favorite of ours!!
Great really great why do I have to say more?
Waiter was very friendly. Food was excellent! Will definitely go back!
Great service, good food.
Love this place! Food & ambiance is always great! It's a regular spot for us.
Another great meal. Burrata never disappoints.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Loved it!
It was our first time out for dinner since the pandemic. Always have enjoyed this restaurant. Great food! The owner really does a great job in keeping the place very clean and safe for everyone. Will be back soon..
Nice neighborhood restaurant with great food and service at a good price. Highly recommend!
This place is amazing! Great food, well done and being a BYOB, you can bring your own drinks and really save a lot of money. Bring cash and save a little more, too.
It was a great spot for great Italian food. Everything from appetizers to dessert was amazing!
We love Burrata! The food, ambiance and service is superb.
Had a great anniversary dinner here. We are outside on the sidewalk and it was very comfortable.
Burrata has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Philly! Great atmosphere, amazing food, and I love that I'm able to bring my own wine! Love this place
Me, my daughter, and my husband go here a few times a year! It’s very good and the service is always excellent! We would probably go even more if they had a bar! Lol we like our cocktails ;) it’s a nice spot to go with families, friends, or -well behaved- children since it’s on the quieter side lol!!
this is a lovely neighborhood gem. Comfortable and tables spaced. Small but delicious menu. Our selections were wonderful - must try the truffles gnocchi. Service was superb.
Always a favorite “go to.” Amazing menu and outstanding specials.
What an amazing neighborhood gem!! First time here, and everything was delicious. Between the two of us we got the Brussels sprouts, seafood app, octopus, gnocchi & the spaghetti with clams. The portion sizes were perfect- even the desserts were just the right size! Would absolutely come again to try the rest of the menu. Thank you!
