Absolutely phenomenal experience. The service, food, ambiance, everything was perfect.
Went this past week with friends, and the food was excellent. From the appetizers to our entrees, everything was fresh, and our server was pleasant. Would highly recommend Burrata for any occasion.
I ordered the gnocchi. The menu stated that the dish included mushrooms and walnuts. It did NOT state that it had a cream sauce, and when I asked the server about it she did not mention the sauce, just truffle oil. I cannot eat cream so had to switch with another diner at the table to avoid having to reorder a dinner and while while everyone else was eating. The shrimp and clams with spaghetti was more ordinary than even I make it at home.
we had a great meal saturday night. service was also just right.
We are big fans of supporting a good neighborhood place, and Burrata fits the bill with a comfy feel and lively ambiance. There's nothing to block cold air from coming in the front door, so we won't be back till spring or summer when I know I won't be uncomfortable.
The seafood stufato was top notch. We also loved the home made bucatini with blush sauce, crab and lobster, although I wish they didn't make me wrestle with cracking the claw. The paccheri with bolognese was good but the pieces were a little too wide and awkward. The burrata was served ice cold - it's supposed to sit out for a bit to get warm and oozy.
Glad we had a reservation and we were not sitting close to the door. Our server was nice but came off as not enjoying her job. The food was excellent and the support staff was very attentive.
Intimate atmosphere, delicious food and terrific service!
Delicious food, great servers, love the atmosphere. We will def go again!
Amazing food and ambiance. Definitely going back
Love this place, chose it for birthday dinner. They didn’t have our favorite, the octopus, but still damn good pork chop and our server was awesome. Recommend to anyone, need to go more often to try more of the specials.
Great food, atmosphere
Outstanding as always!!
The Blush sauce was wonderful!!
Had a great time. Food was phenomenal, loved bringing our own bottle.
Everything was delicious as usual! I decided on one of the pasta specials and it did not disappoint.
Delicious food and quick and amazing service!
We went to Burrata for a friend’s birthday and were absolutely thrilled with the food and service at Burrata! The staff was very accommodating as one of our members of our party was running late. They did not rush us and we were able to enjoy the wine that we brought while we waited. Everyone loved their food and left stuffed and satisfied! We will definitely be back!
We've been to Burrata several times now and each time it has been wonderful. The food is delicious, the setting is cozy, and the service is excellent. Great for a date night or a group, you can't go wrong.
wonderful food and service!
Great food and service. This will be a regular go to spot for me!
One of my favorite places! Great food and always great specials.
Such a wonderful experience! We had a group of 13, and they were so accommodating! Will definitely return!
Great food, great service. The freshly made pasta was incredible.
Delicious food, impeccable service, decent prices, delicious sorbet. Very impressed! It is a bit loud but it feels very homey!
Burrata is my favorite restaurant in Philly!! The food is always delicious, the service is outstanding, and the owners are friendly and caring. Love the intimacy of the restaurant and the fact that it's a BYOB. A restaurant that is always consistent!
It was the best meal we've had in a long time. I echo other reviewers in that they do a few things VERY well. The gnocchi was like biting into clouds (yes- softer than pillows). BYOB was also great.
Great food. Small menu so not overwhelming choices.
Excellent food and service every time we go!
The service was wonderful..A great place to go for an everyday meal!
Food was delicious and ambiance was nice. Great service! Very attentive
Burrata is our favorite BYO in South Philly. Great food and service every time!
Always a wonderful dinner.
Service was terrific and wait staff was very nice. Food was sub par. While bread is not the most important item, it generally makes the first impression. We were served bite-sized chunks of stale, but warmed Italian bread. Perhaps this was meant as bird food. We then had Caesar Salad with Shredded Lettuce (not Romaine) drenched in mediocre Caesar dressing. The Mussels were okay. Main Course was Chicken Milanese. While the portion was large, it was dry and over cooked white meat chicken. I will give them the benefit of doubt as it may have been an off night. I see other good reviews. Perhaps I will give a 2nd try to be fair and I will post that review as well.
I have dined here many times. Today I was disappointed with the way I was welcomed by the waitress. I mistakenly made reservation for 2 instead of 3. The restaurant was empty and the response from the waitress was I’m sorry you made reservation for 2 not 3 you have to sit outside. In the meantime we stepped outside and one of the owners greeted us and sat us inside in a 2 seater knowing it was 3 of us. We dined and still the restaurant was empty. A white couple came in without any reservation and the waitress went out of her way to sit them at a table without questioning them. Train your staff to treat anyone that comes thru your door with respect, understanding and compassion.
A delicious, easy going while attentive, lovely Italian spot. Just terrific! Food ranges from very good to great. Atmosphere sweet and simple South Philly.
The best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time! This restaurant is a “hidden treasure.”
Highly recommend this (newer) BYO! The potato gnocchi with mushrooms was delicious. I also had the scallops for dinner, which I would get again. We shared the creme brûlée for dessert. I will be back.
Love the food, service, and vibe of this place! Always good
Only thing disappointing was the bread. It seems like it was day old and placed in the oven to crisp up.
Appetizer and entree were excellent.
Great food great service great vibes! They accommodated our large group at the last minute too!
Overall the place is very nice. The staff was friendly. The food for the most part was excellent. I had the Wild Boar Pappardelle which was delicious. One dining partner had the enocchi which he raved about and the pasta in bolognaise sauce was outstanding. The only disappointment was the basil pasta with burata. It was bland and tasteless. We will definitely visit again soon.
