We had a server. She took our order and was missing for 25 minutes. She told us our order wasn’t in the kitchen so she would put it in again. She had to get our order again. Said she’d rush the order. 20 minutes later our rushed fish and chip and turkey club were nowhere to be seen. We watched so much food be brought out. We ended up leaving. A nice server asked if he could get his manager but we had been there an hour and no manager stopped by our table at all. When we were waiting for drinks another table our server waited on we’re discussing tips and kept saying they never got refills and I felt bad for our server. When we left I felt foolish. And sad because I had really wanted to eat there, and chose this place over other things to do, but we ended up with a good meal and great service at a chain.

The menu seemed very limited with not many options to choose from for dinner entrees, and many of the items were deep fried. The dessert menu only had 2 options. Not sure we will choose to dine there again for dinner.

We had the best waiter.. made sure to apprise us of happy hour specials and checked back before they ended. Was always on top of things. The food isn’t haute cuisine but it’s great “bar food”. Lovely scenery of the Cuyahoga river. We totally enjoyed our evening. If I have one criticism, they need more dessert options.

Local event brought us there. Very busy and understaffed. Only partial blame to the staff, hard to keep above water that day. Understood. I usually have a good experience with Burntwood Taverns around town so I didn’t rate this one as harshly as I could have

They were in between menu changes, so many things we were going to order were sold out. Either way, the food was just mediocre, and not worth the value. Which was very disappointing as we have loved the food at Burntwood in the past. Service was good, as well as atmosphere. Just very disappointed in the quality of the food.

Stop here on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. Sat in the bar area which was really not that busy. With that being said, Our service was slow, and our food was bland and over priced. I will say the restaurant itself was nice and the views were wonderful, but everything else was not good at all.

For the $40 per person price of the Easter, Buffay, we did not feel it was an outstanding meal. The food was OK, some of the food was cold. The dessert selection was disappointing, and clearly not homemade at all.

Easter buffet : need to deliver ommlettes to table. The rest of my food got cold waiting for the ommlette station girl to finish... Prime rib needed to cook longer- was chewy & too rare. Salmon was good! Ham was salty. Only scrambled Eggs and ommlettes , not enough variety. Drinks from bar were good. Lots of staff but they were always on errands. They couldn't stop to refill water or beverages? For the meal value need more entrees and deserts were skimpy...

I went to have a nice dinner for our anniversary. I was disappointed that we were brought to a table with no tablecloth while others had them. We had bread plates but no bread was served, nor salad with our dinner. There was a very limited dinner selection and it was dominated by very a loud atmosphere.

I ordered a sandwich I had gotten at another location, it was nothing like the one I had a few weeks ago and the vegetable side went from being a fantastic delicious array to just a few Brussels sprouts and at least 50% less volume. The sandwich lacked the flavor and sauce from before. Even though they closed at 9, the general vibe was they wanted us out at 8:30. There was no service after that time and the constant sweeping, moving chairs around us coupled with no more water or coffee made it very uncomfortable. Extremely disappointing.

We went out for an anniversary dinner here and were seated right next to the area where the waiters and waitresses gather to look at table numbers and ring up checks. The entire dinner didn’t feel very private as we were trying to talk without someone getting so close and interrupting. My boyfriend was getting butts in his face the whole dinner. Also, our waiter didn’t come by very often to get anything we needed. We waited long enough at the beginning to have our entire orders ready by the time he came around, and at the end of our meal we watched him stand at the bar for a long time before coming by where we had to ask for the check. The food was delicious and I always enjoy coming here, but it felt a little bit less than perfect this time, especially for our anniversary. I always tip over 20% when I go out to eat (and I did this time, too) but it felt a little silly to give our waiter who we barely saw our entire meal the $20 tip. I’ll definitely be back, but I just wanted to share my disappointment this time around.

The menu is much smaller, so not a lot of options. I feel It’s more of a drinks and appetizer restaurant now. Out of several seafood options and po boy was too hard to eat. Sadly- I don’t believe we will be going back there again.

It is a smaller menu that before covid, however, we do offer 12 different entree sandwiches and salads, as well as 7 feature entrees. For the next six weeks during Lent, we will also offer a Shrimp Scampi and Trout Piccata every Friday. Our menu continues to change and evolve with every season, with limited time specials for Mardi Gras, Lent, and St. Patricks Day coming up!

Our server, Elaine, was great! In this app I requested a table with a view of the river as we were wanting to impress our guest with the lovely view at Burntwood. We were put by a wall with no view - the hostess did offer to move us, but we stayed where we were. It would be nice if the special notes were noticed ahead of time and honored without a second request. Also, our food took a long time to come out. Our server kept us posted, but it really took too long. The food was good with the exception of the seafood gumbo which came out too cool at first. The server took it back and brought out a hot bowl of chowder and mentioned that the chef said the shrimp are served cold on in the gumbo. It was the whole gumbo, broth and all, that was not warm enough. But it was sent back out hot and that solved the problem. The rest of the food was very good and we had a nice time with our guest. I'm sure we'll return. We eat at Burntwood from time to time.

Menu was limited. No bread or salad came with dinner. Dinner was to celebrate a birthday. When I made the reservation on OpenTable, I asked that a dessert be delivered at the end of the meal to the birthday person. They never did that, so I saw the waiter up in the bar area so I left the table and went up to him and reminded him that I had requested a dessert be delivered to the birthday person. A few minutes later, the waiter came back to the table and explained that per his manager they don’t do that anymore. Well, they had a dessert menu so clearly they have desserts. I was obviously going to pay for the dessert I just wanted one brought to the birthday person to recognize their birthday, which was actually the same day. It was rather embarrassing when the waiter stood there at the table and explained that they don’t do birthday desserts anymore. That was kind of embarrassing, because it was supposed to be a surprise. At the end of the dinner when the waiter brought the bill I was surprised to see the bill was just a total amount. No breakdown of the bill. I had no idea what all I was paying for. So I gave the bill back to him and told him I wanted to see a breakdown of what I was paying for not just a total dollar amount on a piece of paper. The others who were sitting at the table also got a bill that just had a total dollar amount on it. So they sent theirs back also. All in all I was disappointed with the dining experience from the limited menu offerings to the fact that they couldn’t bring a slice of cake or a bowl of ice cream over to the birthday person, as well as giving people bills with nothing more than a total dollar amount on them.

We like Burntwood Tavern. However, the food has been underwhelming the last two times we have been. The steak frites were bland and portly delivered with chewy onions on top. I left most of it on my plate. The wait staff is professional and helpful. The ambiance is fine.

We were there on New Years eve. Service was Excellent. I was disappointed in my chicken marsala. Chicken was just ok, but VERY skimpy portions of the potatoes and vegetables. The vegetables were very hard, either overcooked or not cooked enough. Also, no bread or salad included??? Even Texas Roadhouse has bread!

Went here for New Years Eve dinner and had a good time. We went early before it got too crowded. When we were leaving the restaurant was extremely crowded and it was getting hard to hear each other talk. Overall we enjoyed it. Not my favorite Burntwood - sorry! The one in Rocky River is still my favorite

I made a reservation online for 5:00pm. After being seated and getting our cocktails, we found out that we needed to order right away because the kitchen was supposed to CLOSE AT 5:00PM! I felt so sorry for our gracious server, who had to be the “bearer of bad news” to quite a few tables. We decided to have a quick appetizer and found another place to go for dinner. I’m in the restaurant business and used to be the Open Table “coordinator,” for lack of a better term. It’s quite easy to manipulate it, so you could have had the last reservation available 30-45 minutes before the kitchen wanted to close. I love Burntwood Tavern and hope someone reads this, for future days with modified hours. Thank you, Cindy Scafaro

We have been to this establishment many times for different occasions. This is the second time the service was subpar. We felt rushed because they were going to bring the salad with the main meal. Meals were not hot just warm. The price of the meal was not worth giving the restaurant a second chance. We have always looked forward to our visit. We do not expect to be back.
