My husband and I decided we needed a little get away for the afternoon and try a new restaurant in this area. We are from Ponte Vedra beach but love to visit AMELIA Island at least once a year...
Well, we hadn’t tried Burlingame and are SO glad we did! It’s our very favorite place to go for fine dining, which did not disappoint. The safety precautions they all took made us very comfortable, the staff and our waitress was truly wonderful ... and the food—outstanding! We WILL return again before we head to our other home in Pa this May through October. It’s THAT good....no—Great!👌

We sat outside and the atmosphere, food and service were outstanding.
We tried this restaurant because it had a lot of favorable reviews but were not impressed. The server was just 'okay', very little ambience, menu selection was somewhat limited, the prices are on the higher end and entrees do not even come with a salad. The only salad offered is $12. I had the salmon and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both were satisfactory but just not what we expected at this price point.
The only negative I found was that the menu was very limited
Fantastic Friday night dining in the new garden area on the back side of the restaurant.
The evening's special -- a bone-in, 45-day dry aged strip steak -- was phenomenal. It paired very well with a bottle of King Estate Pinot Noir. My wife's strip steak also was delicious.
The evening's fresh East Coast oysters also were delectable.
Wonderful, warm friendly service from Nina made the night even more enjoyable.

Burlingame is our favorite restaurant on Amelia Island. It was our 32nd Wedding Anniversary and they did not disappoint. Although their are a number of good restaurants in Fernandina, we knew that the atmosphere and food would meet our expectations for celebrating 32 years together.
In a word-lovely.
Consistently superb. As delicious as it was when we first tried it last September. Superb attention to detail. Interesting ingredients. Thoughtful preparation.

We had a wonderful meal at Burlingame during our Spring Break visit to Amelia Island. We sat on the patio, and our server, Ryan, took great care of us, and was especially great with our girls (ages 5 and 7). The fried Brussels were amazing, and I had the mushroom risotto, which was so delicious. Save room for dessert too, we took a few dishes home with us, and cleaned our plates!

Burlingame exceeded our expectations in every way. I booked it fairly "blindly", counting on the 5 star reviews, and we couldn't have enjoyed our evening with them more. From the start, our server was knowledgable, professional and made it easy for us to dine on their incredibly delicious menu, accommodating one in our party with celiac disease and 2 vegans seamlessly. Tables were well spread and only a few in each room which allowed us to feel relaxed and unhurried. With a varied and interesting wine list, our server allowed us to sample, steering us to perfect choices. The brussels sprouts appetizer is not to be missed - the "surf and turf' was amazing and the veggie risotto so not the typically thrown in vegan option. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and gorgeously presented. We look forward to another memorable meal at Burlingame when we next are in town!

Small menu but all of it is done well and an nice variety of mains. Tomahawk pork was excellent.
Our dinner was really quite nice. The starters were great (highly recommend the charred octopus - like a scallop). For dinner the pork chop was delicious and the cocktail (float on) was best one I had all week. The service was excellent and the overall experience was top notch. Thanks!

Our dinner was excellent. I had the sea bass. It was so flavorful! My husband had the tomahawk pork chop.. very tender and flavorful. We had a slice of pecan pie for dessert.. our waitress, was outstanding! Can’t wait to go back!

Adorable resturant I. The historic downtown district. We were in town for a wedding and found this on open table. The place is charming and the menu was a great balance of some southern inspired dishes with an eclectic twist. Started with Brussel sprouts which were just amazing. Made with a semi sweet/ fried/roasted flavor that I could of had more of! I had the surf and turf which was a lobster tail with braised short ribs. A 10 out of 10. The flavors were perfectly paired and I highly recommend. My husband had the shrimp and grits and he has never been a lover of grits but these were like no others. Made with course ground grits and over succotash , fried goat cheese and a zucchini purée. Grilled shrimp were fresh local and grilled and seasoned perfectly as well.
We enjoyed so much and were full so needed to pass on dessert. However, if back in town will go back 100%. Great food and service!

Mikayla was our server and was an absolute delight. We started with Old Fashioned cocktails which were expertly crafted. We had the charred octopus for an appetizer and it was beautifully prepared. My wife had the shrimp and grits which were excellent; appealing aesthetically and to the palate. I had the tomahawk pork which was exquisite. Cooked to medium and perfectly moist throughout. The sweetness of the bacon and onion jam along with the savory roasted garlic and Serrano pepper emulsion put this over the top! The grilled cornbread with the honey butter was a nice accoutrement. The chocolate tart for dessert finished a delightfully delicious meal!
