We enjoyed it! Our server was just attentive enough, and though she wasn’t knowledgeable about wine pairing she did allow us to taste a few until we found what we wanted. The housemade bread is amazing. The food is beautifully presented. The tenderloin melts in your mouth.
Everyone was so nice! Food and drinks were AMAZING! Pricy, so not something we would do every weekend, but it’s so nice to have such an upscale option here on the island!
My husband, our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren throughly enjoyed our visit to Burlingame Restaurant. We were celebrating our fifty first anniversary while on Amelia Island. After researching restaurants in the area, we chose it. Our meal was delicious and the staff made us feel very welcome. They even gave us a Happy Anniversary note. I ordered and recommend the ciopinno.
We're on the island a couple of times per year and each time Burligame reminds us that it is the best food and service on the Island and it can compete in major markets. It seems they've taken it up a notch in the artful presentations to provide the senses far more than super smell and taste. Everything on the menu is great so just pick what appeals to you most or share several smaller plates. DEELISH!
Anthony is a wonderful server. He had excellent wine recommendations. As always the food was delicious. It truly was a perfect evening.
Burlingame is a hidden gem. The menu is small and unique while the wine list is well represented. We will continue to enjoy this special, locally owned restaurant.

The menu was rather small. My dinner of scallops was extremely salty to the extent that I didn't finish the meal. We were very disappointed in the meal and would not come back.

Is the best restaurant I've eaten at in Fernandina, though there are other good ones. The food was excellent, the service friendly and very knowledgeable, and the wine list was the best I've seen on the island. We will definitely be back!
My friend and I had such a wonderful time at Burlingame! From the beautiful, comfortable space to the food, wine choices and service - we couldn’t have enjoyed it more! We are already planning to return next September when we’re back on Amelia Island!

Truly outstanding. Don’t miss the Brussel sprouts, shrimp and grits, pecan pie. Even the sour dough bread (made in house) was to die for.

Our group of four loved Burlingame. We sat outside and loved the ambiance. The food was amazing!
We were visiting Amelia Island and I took my mom out for dinner for her birthday, also with my 4 1/2-year-old. We sat outside and it was lovely! The octopus small plate was spectacular! A MUST have! We also had the scallops and the grouper. Delicious! They made a special lemonade for my daughter which was nice and yummy!
Suggestion: it was kind of hard to see from the outside. It is on the east side of the street and has a small flag with their name on it.
We loved our experience at Burlingame. The bar tender was fantastic, our server, and the food and drinks. We tried the Young Americans cocktail and this was probably my favorite cocktail of all time. We will definitely be back again. Hoping to try outside seating once it cools off. Excellent restaurant!

This was one of the finest meals my wife and I have had in a long time. The chef is so creative and inventive, combining seemingly disparate ingredients in to incredibly delicious meals. I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.
The food continues to taste great. The spices /sauces used are terrific and make even the simplest entree of shrimp and grits taste wonderful.

Once again, we had a wonderful evening at Burlingame. The service was prompt, professional and unobtrusive. Lindsay was professional, engaging and knowledgeable about the wine list and the evenings preparations. We enjoyed the duck special which was flavorful, cooked perfectly and a generous portion. We also enjoyed the extremely tender charred octopus and the diver scallops. All were wonderful.
We love the spacious seating and the ambiance which makes for a delightful business or special occasion. We will be back on our next trip to the island.

We went here and invited friends to celebrate a special Birthday. We all found it to be totally outstanding from beginning to end, including DELICIOUS food, EXCELLENT service and a Birthday card from the restaurant owners and staff at the end. We will return!!
Reunion with a friend
We were expecting great things given the high ranking of Burlingame but we found the food to be "....good, but not great," despite their previous reviews. I got the Porchetta, which was quite good but the corn bread was very, very dry, even by corn bread standards. We both got the creme brulee, a family favorite, but we were not impressed with the flavor. While the above may not seem all that crucial, we were expecting for the price and reputation that we would have been more impressed. We would give Burlingame another try but it would not be our first option.

We had 7:30 dinner reservation on a Saturday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our plans changed and we arrived at the restaurant 2 hours early. They were very accommodating and allowed us to be seated right away. The food was amazing and the service was spot on. Highly recommend Burlingame for special occasions or when just when you want to treat yourself.

Everything was Outstanding! We had fried Brussels, smoked fish dip, Pasta with Lamb Bolognese, Kale Caesar, Prime ribeye steak (the best we have ever eaten) and for dessert, the pecan pie with brown butter ice cream and lemon pie! Cocktails with great too! Can’t wait to return!
