We really enjoyed our night there celebrating our 20th anniversary. The food, service and ambiance were all exceptional. The only complaint would be with my scallop order which for $36 one would think you would get more than three scallops. Quite surprising, even though they were fairly large, only 3? Overall, the night was a great experience and will be returning.

Wait staff was excellent. The food was very good and the wine was just right. I had cioppino for the first time and I can’t can’t remember a more flavorful and satisfying entree.

The food was excellent. The meal was ruined because the restaurant is too loud. To make it worse, in the room where we were seated was a group of 8 where an obnoxious wine dealer opened up several bottles of fine red wine and made people play guess-what-it-is. If he wanted to entertain his friends at home and show off his “I-read-a-wine-magazine” knowledge, he could have saved the other patrons in the room from enduring him. When we mentioned it to the management, they rolled their eyes. They could have at least offered an ice cream.

We want to Burlingame for Valentines Day. The starters were good. However, my Wagyu beef was overcooked so I sent it back. By the time I received a replacement entree, my husband had already finish his meal. The second entree I received had a very poor presentation - the meat was sloppily piled on top of the whipped potatoes and asparagus. Also, the quality of the Wagyu on the second entree was sub-standard. It was very fatty which is not something I have ever seen in Wagyu. Unfortunately, the remedy for the overcooked beef was not better than the first mistake. The wine was good. The staff was OK. The table was OK. The desserts were good. It did not meet expectations for a $350+ meal. We were disappointed in the experience especially since we had such high hopes for this restaurant - which is why we chose it for a special occasion dinner.

My wife and I went for the Valentines Day fixed menu dinner. Absolutely fabulous!! The cauliflower soup was the most inventive and creative dish we’ve ever had. It was also delicious. The seafood entrees were done to perfection and also featured wonderful complimentary items. The chef clearly has an amazing ability to pair seemingly disparate items into dishes that are unique and mouth-watering. We’ve been here a few times and we will certainly keep coming back.

We have loved Burlingame in the past and maybe choosing Valentines Day for dinner was a mistake (but we enjoyed a wonderful evening on this holiday last year). The food was disappointing (the soup barely moistened a pile of extraneous toppings; the scallops were seriously over salted). It is a sad evening when the bread is the highlight of the dinner.

We love coming for dinner, just the two of us or with another couple that really enjoys good food. I love it when I see someone outside and They tell me what a wonderful time they had at Burlingame.

The chef is a master of sauces and they enhanced the quality of food. The menu is unique and well worth consideration of all items. The service was efficient and cheerful. We look forward to going again.

Service and overall ambiance were great. Fried Brussels sprouts were delicious, as were all sides, but the meat was over salted. Would certainly return and recommend to others.

My wife and I shared 6 oysters as a starter--hers West coast, mine, East.
Wine: a 2014 Nickel&Nickel Russian River valley Syrah which went beautifully with her tenderloin and frites and my braised short ribs. Presentation spot on. Food cooked to perfect temp and texture--close to over salting but overall delicious. Will certainly make the one hour drive again.

We thought the food and service was delicious. The Brussel Sprouts and the Pecan Pie were our favorite selections. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly medium, maybe a tad bit over seasoned for my preference but everyone has their own taste. The short ribs were tender and flavorful and as well as the vegetable medley with the whipped potatoes. We would definitely visit again.

We always like the personal touches at Burlingame. The owners strive to make great dining experiences for their customers. Two of us had the seasonal vegetable medley and were pleasantly surprised. One had the Carbonara (delicious) and grilled Romaine salad. The only comment was that the Romaine could have been a bit more charred. The Cioppino was loaded with seafood and a a very ample portion.
Desserts are always a treat, especially the Pecan Pie and Lemon Pie.
Service was excellent and the owner was very gracious and appreciative of our business.

Three of us had delicious meals. Our server was VERY attentive, nice, and efficient. The portions are just about the right size for a pleasant meal. Diners with big appetites may find the portions lacking, however.

Great meal. Thoughtful dishes. We love the charcuterie and cheese board. Excellent crispy salmon dish and a very interesting duck dish which reminded me of Korean bibembap. I don't care much for lemon desserts but, the lemon pie is delicious!

Anthony was excellent waitstaff - knowledgeable, attentive yet unobtrusive. Small plates were exceptional - particularly charred octopus and spaghetti carbonara. Grilled Caesar salad was very interesting. Crime brûlée and French press capped off an excellent meal

This was our first time at Burlingame and definitely not our last. Everything from the food to the service were exceptional. I can't have gluten or dairy and they were very helpful and accommodating. My husband and I ended up getting 4 appetizers. The serving sizes were a little smaller but we were both stuffed. Food is a little pricey but it was worth it. Highly recommend.

Excellent. Family run with attention to detail. Wonderful chef window view with an exquisite meal. The deck setting is wonderful. The heaters were a bit much as it wasn’t that cool out. With all that said, we are repeat diners who have brought friends up from Jacksonville each time. We love this wonderful place.

Excellent fine dining restaurant in Amelia Island. The diver scallops are delicious. The side of fries with chimichurri sauce was so good. The deconstructed lemon pie with meringue and blueberry compote was a great finish. The staff is super nice. Service was excellent too. Would definitely recommend this for a nice dinner.

Burlingame is perhaps our current favorite restaurant in town for fine dining. The most recent visit was on New Year’s Eve. They served a limited flat price menu with three courses, and three choices for each course. Despite the limited number of choices, and the premium holiday price, we enjoyed our meal very much, and look forward to the next visit.

This was the best meal of our eight day stay on the island. This is our new go-to restaurant. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Staff is friendly. Chef Chad was remarkable. You won't be disappointed.

This is my third time coming to this restaurant. The first time was amazing, although staff was extremely rude (even with us spending over $1000). The last two times were just so so. Never been blown away by the service. Overall stuffy and snooty, even with the restaurant being only half full. Probably will not go back.
