Burger Theory - Holiday Inn Joliet Southwest
The quesadillas, bacon burger, & BLT Cobb salad were absolutely delicious.
We had outside table. (I had to go inside and ask if they knew we were there AFTER they sat us at table) We had a NEW Server that came to table without order pad, one dish was incorrect but manager caught it before it was served so had to wait for the dish and everyone else was finished when plate arrived. I had to get our own eating utensils and napkins. Manager said she comped the $10 salad. Manager said there was a whole new kitchen staff.
I thought food tasted fine. Never had a bad meal there yet.
I am not a big giver of 5 stars unless there is an over and above situation so 4 stars from me is really really great. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was tasty for sure. We had burgers of course and the build a burger option is great if you don't see anything on the menu that interests you. We had a few drinks from the bar as well and they were a perfect blend of taste in all aspects. I would recommend Burger Theory to friends for sure and we will stop back in there when we are up in that area again and looking for food. Overall it is not bad at all and we would recommend the Tuscan Chicken Flatbread if you are looking for an appetizer. It was quite yummy.... Full of flavor just like our burgers were!!!
Were out of 2 beers we wanted but food was very good.
It was our first time trying Burger Theory and we were NOT disappointed. Tables were distanced appropriately, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the food...well, amazing! We all built our own burgers to exactly how we liked them. My son who does not normally finish a meal devoured his and said “this place is a keeper!” Kudos to our server Taylor! She explained everything, engaged with our kids and was overall a pleasure. Make sure to ask for her- you will not be disappointed!
First time diner there. Taylor (our server) was great! Friendly and helpful. She tried her best to make up for the problems in the kitchen...kitchen staff goofy slow. Medium well burger came out rare. And everything from the kitchen took forever. Taylor kept apologizing but management was no where to be seen. That part was sad. Overall an ok experience. Food only adequate.
THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST HAMBURGER I HAVE EVER EATEN. THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING CONSIDERING THE CIRCUMSTANCES. I GO TO JOLIET ON A REGULAR BASIS. I WILL ADD THIS TO PLACES I PREFER TO EAT.
Very nice outdoor seating
Neat pond - quiet
Beer was ice cold
Burgers cooked to perfection
Great food and great service.
Food was delicious and will definitely go back!
My lettuce wrap burger was very tasty.
Nice and juicy and they will cook them medium rare which is a plus.
Also had onion rings and they were also good.
I would definitely recommend eating here especially if you like burgers.
Sat outside and it was a nice evening.
Went to celebrate my sons graduation and because of Covid had to sit outside.
Servers made sure his experience was great, food was great, beautiful view even with the tent and bugs.
The patio is beautiful next to a pond. Very relaxing. The food was really good. I had a slider trio that was delicious and they have a good variety of beer on tap. The fries are really good to. I've been telling all my friends and family to try it. We will definitely be coming back!
We love Mike the bartender & Fransisco the chef! Best bloody Mary's ever & the food is amazing! Loved the outdoor seating!!!
Taylor was our waitress, very friendly and professional. Just the right amount of attention. The food was great too.
Al and everyone was great!
It was our first time there and we probably would have enjoyed it if it wasn't so COLD!!! We mentioned to our server that it was cold and she informed us that the heat was out and the repairman wasn't coming until after hours. We hurried and ate to get into our car for some heat. Not a good first impression.
Burger came out wrong and fries were soggy. Asked for the toppings that were missing from my burger and for some new fries. About 15 minutes later the fries came but still no ingredients for my burger. So I asked that the whole burger be remade at that point because it had been sitting and was cold. My friends were done eating and we needed to leave. The waitress said all of her tables had their burgers messed up that night. The manager took a long time to come over. I had to thoroughly explain to her why I was not happy with my experience. She took half off my burger. That I didn't even eat. Not impressed. Also when I did taste the burger. I liked the garlic mayo but I didn't think the patty itself had much flavor. Maybe it was an off night. I had heard good reviews so I was looking forward to dining there. And I don't consider myself a very picky Eater.
Our first time here. Food was okay. I didn’t think the burgers were that special. Fries were good. Service was excellent!
The group I was with thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We were all just a bit taken back about the service. We had to request a few times for a couple of things. It wasn't busy so I assumed we would have received more attention. I wasn't sure if the waitress was new or what. I would go back because the burger was good and maybe service will be different. I don't know how "new" the restaurant is but food was great and beer selections were just as good too.
The queso was super thin
All four people in our party felt very ill after
Our first time here. The food was good and there was a huge selection of burger toppings, some were more unusual than you would find anywhere else.
The service was very good! Our server was very friendly/helpful! According to the special’s menu they offer some good daily drink and food specials.
Cute place. The only negative was the price of a well mixed drink, $7.00. That is about $2.00 higher than the majority of other bars and restaurants in the area.
Service was slow. Had trouble with check not coming out correctly. Drinks took a long time to arrive at the table
Service at the bar was beyond disappointing.
Burger overcooked and relatively flavorless, not worth cost.
My husband and I brought a guest from out of town. We decided to try Burger Theory because it was nearby his hotel. The server said she was new. I don't remember her name (sorry) Hubby thinks, Taylor? but she was outstanding. Efficient, helpful, and professional. The room was nearly empty...very quiet so we had a great visit. We each had a different burger and side and enjoyed them. I had the blue burger and it had a good amount of creamy thick blue cheese. Onion rings were good. Server refilled our Arnold Palmers 3 times! For those guests who find stairs difficult...this is on the ground floor. Easy access. We'll return.
Thank you so much for the review. Taylor is a gem of ours. We look forward to you dining with us again.
My husband is a fan of burgers so I decided to take him for his 50th birthday he loved it! I had the chicken tenders and they were the best I ever ate! our hostess was prompt and friendly and our server was also prompt an friendly. I would certainly recommend and will be visiting again.
Thank you for the review! Look forward to seeing you again.
Slow. Over priced. Small portions. Inattentive staff. NEVER AGAIN
Thought it would have more
Ambiance kind of plain
Food was good and servers were
Thank you for the review. Look forward to seeing you again.
I liked dining outside on the patio! Good place for a burger and al beer!
Thank you for the review! Look forward to seeing you again.
I felt that menu choices were too limited and too expensive for what you got.
We are currently offering new specials & features of the month. It would be amazing if you could come check them out!
Excellent service. Food was good!! We will definitely be back.
Thank you for the amazing review.
Both of my kids burgers were brought out with the works but were ordered plain. Had to send one back. The other he just scraped it off and got a new bun. The salad was not fresh and was brownish. The burgers had good flavor and the fries were good. Service was a little slow. I might go back but doubtful.
Did not have record of reservation when we arrived even though I showed them number on my phone. Service was rather slow but waitress said it was her first day. When we asked for silverware we eventually went and found some ourselves when she did return after several minutes. A few people in my party got the sliders and one slider on each of their plates was noticeably smaller, the size of a silver dollar. Food took close to 45 minutes. Other than the issue with the small slider food was ok.
7 of us. The food was hot and delicious. The service was great. We weren't rushed. Overall great experience. They also had the table ready for us. We will go back
Thanks for the amazing review.
It was great for our family get together. Great burgers!
Thanks for the amazing review.
I would honestly say, this place is just okay.
Delicious food and very friendly service. Kept our soft drinks full without asking. The kitchen was pretty slow to get the food out, thankfully it was worth the wait we cleaned our plates.
Thank you for the great review. We would love to see you again. We have improved on our service time.
This was my first experience and it was just awful. We came here (my entire work office of 8 people) to celebrate my birthday. I made the reservation. No one knew what Open Table was!!! I had to keep explaining it to them, so frustrating. It was empty and our service was horrible. We were there for almost THREE hours on November 19. So unbelievable slow and the food was very mediocre. I would not recommend this. So disappointing.
