Burger Jones - Burnsville Ratings and Reviews
Food came out much faster this time compared to our previous visit, however the burgers tend to be a little greasy. Also, we had the same waiter as last time and the experience is awkward. He was already asking us about dessert when we were not even halfway through our burgers.
Warning! This is nothing like the Burger Jones near Lake Calhoun.
It took us over an hour after we had ordered to get 3 burgers and fries, and this with the place nearly empty. The burgers were OK, not great. Sweet potato fries were hot and very tasty, the reg. fries and waffle cut fries were cold and hard.
The people in the booth behind us were also not happy with their food, as I heard the waitress apologizing numerous times to them.
The waitress was very personable and knowledgeable, but she was the only good thing about the restaurant.
No wonder it was nearly empty. We will not be going back.
My fiances burger, and two tables nearby had complained about the burger being overdone. My fiance's was done to a crisp. One of the couples by us returned their food because there was something in it. I believe I heard the waiter say it was a cheese wrapper? And they left without getting a new burger made. Mine was good, a little too greasy but I guess that's to be expected with a burger. On the plus side, our waiter was awesome (although I can't remember his name). Overall, I would still try it again if I was in the area, but we drove 1 hr to get there and it was not worth it.
Was very disappointed by this visit. They had a private party going on and put our table right up against divider. Unavoidably spent dinner listening to the group's speaker because of how loud it was. Service was slow and inattentive. If you are going to have a party that will require extra attention - then make sure you have the wait staff available and kitchen capacity for what you are seating. Especially if someone took the time to make a reservation.
We had a confirmed reservation through Open Table, but Burger Jones - Burnsville did not have it in their system which was frustrating as I had made the reservation on Tuesday for Friday and even received a reminder from Open Table about the reservation. However, manager was accommodating and helped make it right, but had to sit in bar area where it was really noisy. Waitress was terrific and food was good. Not sure if it was Open Tables fault or Burger Jones fault on the reservation, but it worked out after all.
Made a reservation for 8 for 5:15 PM on Sunday. Not a busy time, and they tried to sit us in the bar. When we asked to sit in dining room (we had kids and we don't drink), they showed visible frustration and made us wait 15 mins to clear and out two tables together. I offered to take two booths, but they said it would be quick. The manager said I should have said not to seat us in the bar in my reservation. That's not the response I would offer a guest of mine. For the food, burger buns were dry. My burger was cheese, but barely had any. My sons double burger had more cheese, but they charge $17.55 for that! Wow. Also, you don't need fries for each burger, especially for kids, but they just ask and don't offer suggestions to share. We had 3 full orders of fries left when we were done. Their prices are nuts for the value. We have had better burgers here and better service too, but this visit was not good. Let's hope it was just a bad day for them. We will try it again, but not anytime soon. I don't mind spending money for something good. This was a lot for not very good today.
Food was great, however being an older couple, maybe seating us in the middle of a group of families with young kids wasn't the greatest idea. The area we were seated was for the multitude of families that were dining. We do like that they have an area like that, so when we bring our children and grand-kids we would like to be seated there.
