Burger Jones - Burnsville
Great burger as always! Our server even brought us a nice treat for my birthday which was unexpected but a nice touch!
The burgers were amazing. The Philly Burger of the Month was a great change of pace. Add it to the menu please! Great Service by Lance.
So much better burgers and service than the Lake Calhoun location.
Food was very good. However, they feel a bit short on the service. Waitress didn't seem to have a since of urgency and took about 5 mins to greet us, which was just a "hello, I will be with you shortly" so it took almost 10 mins before we were able to put in our drink order.
The food came out in a timely manner and was everything was prepared how we asked.
They waitress didn't have time to drop by and ask how everything was until we were done with the meal and we would have liked some water with the meal.
She brought us our bill and overcharged us for our child's beverage (which is offered for a$1 up-charge in addition to a child's meal.) We ended up paying $3 for a kid's soda. We would have told her the mistake, but she seemed to be rather preoccupied and we didn't have time to wait for her to acknowledge us.
Overall the food was spot on, the service could have used a bit of improvement...
I usually sit at the bar when I dine here and the service is much better.
We liked the atmosphere and the food was very good. We had a few issues with our service, but the waitress was very apologetic and didn't charge us for an appetizer item that didn't make it out until after our meal. I would definitely go back as the quality of food was really good. Would like to try some other items.
Went here for lunch during Restaurant Week. The menu had items that were unique and not normal menu items. My wife got the crispy fried green beans which were nice and I got the buffalo shrimp which were also good. She got the pizza burger and I got the triple pork burger. We were a little disappointed that the burgers didn't come with a side. No fries, tots, or coleslaw is when they brought out our burgers on huge serving trays they looked especially small. They did taste great and even our one year old enjoyed a few bites. Not sure what made mine triple pork. Maybe something in the pattie? It came with bacon and some kind of slaw on the burger. The dessert is where we felt we got the best value. A large piece of warm brownie topped with vanilla bean ice cream. I also tried a beer collaboration between Drekker and Able brewing called "Whoa Bundy" that was a fruity hazy style IPA but with a distinct sourness. Overall we had a good time but just felt that the burgers could have used a small side of some kind.
This was our first res for restaurant week so we wanted to try something new and close to home. Our waiter was friendly but did not know what meats were on the triple pork burger. I asked if he could find out and he did. It had great flavor! The fried green beans were also good. However, the Philly burger had zero flavor (burger and Philly meat were bland) and our buffalo shrimp app was cold. The Vikings game was playing on EVERY t.v. in the bar area and I thought that was odd since there were other games on. All in all, there wasn't one thing that I would say I had to go back for therefore, we probably won't be back. Too bad that triple pork burger isn't on their regular menu!
I received a gift card for my birthday and wanted to share with my nice and sister in law. We all had a great time!
Slow service and food wasn’t hot. Nice amount of food for the money but service and quality has gone down a bit.
Good food, but it took almost an hour for 2 standard burgers to be served (wasn’t very busy either). Disappointed with the service overall, and lack of attentiveness. Unlikely to return with better burger spots nearby.
the burgers were rather salty. some of the group liked them that way, some did not.
For a restaurant with Burger in the name their hamburgers are quite underwhelming. I ordered mine “pink” and it was so over cooked it was crispy. We also ordered a shake to be brought out with the meal. It was completely soupy and melted. They should have just brought it out as soon as it was made.
Food was good, service was fine. Warning...your bill will have an additional surcharge titled “Employee wellness”. This isn’t disclosed and you have to carefully look at your bill. Frankly, I find this charge unacceptable....I tip well and consider that my contribution to the server.
Food is good here but pricey. Service was horrible. Restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday night and took a really long time for the server to come to our table. She never came to check on us after the food was brought to our table.
Quite night there, but service was a little slow.
Best Cheese Cruds we've eaten. Hubby still talking about them.
Went in for a large group weekday lunch. Service was very responsive but restaurant was not very busy.
It took a very long time to get our food. We also had to remind them about a kid's meal and my burger was so salty that I couldn't even eat it. Very disappointing dinner experience.
Our server was not great. She was not able to make a beer recommendation or willing to tell us what was good. She was sub-par.
The food was terrific! And the best part was that the kids ate their dinners, which isn’t always a sure thing. We usually base where we’re are going on whether or not the kiddos will eat😩. Thank you!!!
Enjoyed it very much. Food excellent and the service too. Thank you.
Traditional Fathers Day meal - annually since it opened
This is an odd review -- I understand that. My meal was okay but not outstanding. The service was competent and our was server patient with our sluggishness. The portion size was fine. The chocolate shake was not especially chocolatey. I told you this is an odd review.
This was the first time I've been to the Burnsville location, I was going to be down in the area anyway, but I'll tell you what, it's a lot easier to get to, and quieter than the Calhoun location. So I'll go back. It was nice to sit on the patio, and even though you are in a strip mall, there's not a lot of noise to contend with while you are sitting out there. I would totally drive down there again!
Best burgers around! I found this place last year and would recommend to everyone I know !
I am glad they changed their fry policy. We will be back for sure.
Fairly quiet so can talk to your neighbor; I got the wrong order; waitress had a bit of an attitude and didn't seem to care about our dining experience. We were celebrating a birthday, so that kind of dampened the experience. Otherwise, I would have given a higher rating.
Great place for groups, especially if you have kids!
Burger Jones in Burnsville is always reliable and consistent.
The food was great! I am disappointed with the service though. We went on a Thursday night and had a group of 12 people. It wasn’t busy and there were several open tables near us. Our waitress seemed annoyed with us or something. Our reservation was at 6:30 and we all got drinks right away. We were waiting on people coming later to order food so once they arrived we asked if we could order food and she said it’s going to be a few minutes. About 10 minutes later she finally comes to take our order. We got our food at a reasonable time, but two people didn’t get their meals. We alerted our waitress and by the time everyone was done eating the other two people finally got their food.
To top it off, it was my birthday and I specifically went there for an alcoholic milkshake. Right after we finished our meals our waitress came and gave us our checks. We felt very rushed, like she just wanted us to leave. So we decided to go somewhere else due to this service. We had planned to stay and continue to drink and hang out, but we felt unwelcome.
Very disappointed overall. I wish I would’ve chosen another destination for my birthday dinner.
Food was good, though daughter was disappointed in the Chubby Checker burger. Great tap selection, fry tower was devoured. My burger arrived with no pink but requested pink. Will go back hope the burgers are better.
Awesome burgers and a great selection of beers
Burgers are charred if that’s what you like...good fries.
This is the third time we’ve visited this location. First time was fantastic. Burger was done perfectly with a little pink as requested. Everything else — service, drink selection, comfort, was great. But second and third times, the burgers (all of them) were beyond over-cooked. Black on the outside, dry, and no pink at all. When burgers are your specialty, you should at least try to get them right. We may give it another go at some point, but for now, I’m done. More even than my poor lump of wrecked beef.
We have made this out go to restaurant to celebrate my son's Birthday! This year he turned 16 and out friends gathered to celebrate. The server was great and kept up with out orders and drinks the whole evening, 10 - 16 people and we have always had great service.
The burgers are always delicious! The sweet potato fries are one of our favorites and were dry this time. We reserved a table so we could relax and watch basketball. We were seated immediately but were placed at a four top with a chair added (which feels quite crowded for our family) it seemed making a reservation didn't matter. The bar area was very cold because all tables are by the window. We will take all of these things into consideration for next time. Our service was exceptional! We will definitely be back for the best burgers south of the river!
First timer and was impressed. Black and bleu burger was really good. Love the fact that you can get gluten free buns! Fries were luke warm but still good. Had the boozy shake-dirty grasshopper..it was good but not enough for $7 😉. VERY kid friendly at noon on Saturday (read between the lines=kids). Overall, I would recommend and go back again
Fun night with Finnigan’s tapping. Had reservation and was seated immediately. Server was very attentive and kept the beer flowing. Always good food. Love that fries are no longer ala cart.
Food ok. Service great.
Good food, Good service, Good Value
Any burger place that charges seperate for sides needs to stop. People expect some kind of side along with their food. I'm sorry, but there is nothing about your burgers that would justify something like that. The burgers were alright. I loved the Onion Rings but that was about it. Overpriced, overrated, and not worth it!
Food was wonderful and we walked in and our table was ready for us. Great experience.
