We had a nice time. Our server was really nice, the food was great and everything completely followed Covid protocol.
$2.50 covid charge per guest pushed me away. Extremely expensive restaurant to start. Paying steak prices for an a la carte burger. The least you can do is cover the cost of the hand sanitizer at the door. Covid isn't a revenue stream.
The illinois restaurant association has more lobbying power than a pedestrian poking in for a burger and fries. Use it or eat the costs of the government regulations for me to eat your expensive cheeseburger.
Staff was super friendly, great food, great atmosphere
We had a great experience at Burger Bar. Leah took care of us; she was very friendly and attentive. Burgers were tasty and huge! We will be back.
Wonderful food and service!! Others in the party loved their regular burgers, but the shrimp burger is outstanding. I will come back just for that!
Has that authentic truck stop feel. They have amazing drinks and margaritas, no cognac though. It was honestly one of the best burgers I had had in a while! You will be charged a $2.50 COVID fee for their supplies like gloves and masks or what not but we did not mind :) They forgot to bring out our fried pickles but they ended up being on the house. Thanks Burger Bar, the customer service was AMAZINGGG!!!
Very slow service, location not looking good, bad experience
Great customer service and delicious food!
Awesome precautions taken to ensure social distancing ! Would totally recommend !
Food was good, but even in Chicago, ~$16-18 for an average burger is a bit steep. Sides are a la carte which I found a bit strange.
They also charged a $5 PPE fee which I'm not entirely sure what for considering no additional PPE was provided by the restaurant.
My first dining experience inside since last March 2020 and I have to commend the staff and manager! they were amazing at making me comfortable and you could feel the excitement to get customers back inside the restaurant.
Kudos to Carmen and Eric!
The food was delicious. The urban sauce and fried pickles was a great combo. The staff was so nice and informative. Felt safe amid COVID19 concerns . Will be back
One of the best burgers I have ever had. You will not be disappointed with the selection of on the menu burgers or build your own.
Food was amazing!! Only downside (for the moment) was the 1.5 hour limit per table. I would’ve preferred more time to watch the game.
Great burger joint. Loud. Waiter was not pleasant and seemed to be in a hurry.
I had never been here and the images online showed a different location so I was a bit disappointed when I arrived at the Michigan Ave location.
Nonetheless, the waiter was nice, I think his name was Joseph and It didn't take long for them to prepare the food. The food is definitely overpriced but all things considered it was ok. I wouldn't go back but I wouldnt discourage anyone else from going there.
Visiting Chicago, great place. The food was great and the drinks even better. The service staff was friendly and great, however the wait is long when waiting for food and drinks. I would recommend but be patient!
We continued to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Burger Bar. It was a great experience and the food was outstanding.
amazing!!! bb.
Pretty neat place. Burgers are great!
Service was a bit slow but understandable.
Our server was awesome I wish I could remember her name. The food was all good, fried pickles were perfect. Burgers were good but they were kinda pricey. We did the build your own and it’s a pretty high up charge for most toppings, but it is Michigan Ave and we were within walking distance to the museum campus so. If I went back, which I will, I would order one of their speciality burgers instead of building my own since it’d be way cheaper. Also, sides aren’t included so add an extra $4/$5 for fries 🤷♀️
It was a great experience. The waitresses were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. College kids and some couples. We however had a bit of disappointment when we order alcoholic beverages. Some how they were out of all Brandy n the beers were cold but not cold enough to enjoy. The food was outstanding! Definitely a place to return sooner than later.
The food and service at the Burger Bar is always excellent.
been going here for a while now and happy to see her open back up. Its called Burger bar but dont sleep on her wings. Sassy wings are fire! Great draft beers and burgers
The food was extremely expensive. Fhe burgers do not come with a side (it is extra) and they charge extra for every individual topping down to the cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles. I can understand charging for egg but not toppings you gwt on a burger anywhere in chicago and not pay a surcharge. They also charged $2.50 per person fee which is understandable but it should not cost $215 for 5 people to have burgers and a few drinks. Kumas Corner charges half of this restaurant for a better quality burger and experience.
The waiter was rude and seem to have a snarky attitude. The place wasn't busy at all and yet it felt like they were rushing us the whole time.
The burger was good, but the parmesan truffle fries which is extra was not worth the 5.50. I have had better parmesan truffle fries as a cheaper price.
As we are in limited openings, due to COVID-19, we were the only patrons in the restaurant. It took them a prolonged time to get our meal ready and when our meals were ready, we felt rushed to complete it and leave the restaurant within the allotted 90 minutes per-stay. The food was average, not justifying the cost, in fact the best aspect of the meal was the sweet potato tater tot’s. The waitress asked us as soon as we finish the burgers, would we like desert, we declined, opting for a final drink, This action caused the waitress to check our table timer to see how many minutes we had left in our stay despite the fact that it took nearly an hour for two burgers to arrive at the table. In my opinion, the food was overrate, the service lackluster, and the cost certainly did not match the value.
Awful service. Waitress was rude about time even though we still had 20 minutes. She was was constantly reminding us the whole experience about the time restraints.
Always love them!
The food was good but over-priced. All condiments are charged a la carte, which could make a burger expensive. The service was mediocre. Our server was not that friendly or engaging. He did not offer any recommendations on the menu. The wait was a little long and there was only one other table of customers in the restaurant. Will not return to Burger Bar South Loop.
It was a birthday celebration amongst phase 3 of the pandemic. We we’re pleased with the customer service and elated to dine in and happy it was intimate because of the social distancing rules. We both enjoy Burger Bar including the Lincoln Park location. The food is consistent. I’m a vegan vegetarian and my spouse is a meat eater, just to put things in perspective.
Food was excellent. Beer on tap is limited because of Covid. Staff wore masks at all times and cleaned everything.
Pretty good overall. I burnt my tongue, however, on my first bite of my burger — which was both frustrating and bizarre. Other than that, the experience and food was good.
The best night. Especially after COVID reopening. Very clean, great service and even better food
Amazing selection of beer and top veggie burger!
We had a large group of 9 people. The servers were nice and accommodating. We didn’t get asked if we wanted the check separate or together (they gave it together). Just thought that a group of casual adults would be considered separate payment. Otherwise the food was amazing and the experience was great! Definitely recommend for those visiting Chicago.
excellent burgers and brews
A great place to grab a delicious burger and a beer. A little on the pricey side for what it is but, the food is definitely legit.
Our server, Lance, was very kind and attentive!
The food was pretty good, but the burgers were quite overcooked. Overall, the burgers and ambiance are unique, but a little overpriced for what you get (all sides are a la carte).
We waited about 50 min to get 2 burgers and 2 salads, which were very normal.
