Made a reservation for 5 PM showed up at 4:40pm And we were automatically sat at our table. Our food though did not get to us until about 5:35 PM which was a super long wait. I don’t think I will be coming back simply because the service was super slow
The restaurant was clean and people were appropriately distanced. The food and service were outstanding. I do not live in Chicago, but this is a place I will return to.
Good food. Our waitress was extremely friendly. Unfortunately l, she was doing too much for one person. The $2.50 surcharge was a bit much. Nobody is using that much hand sanitizer or masks. Prices of these supplies have come down considerably and charging this for two hand sanitizing stations is a bit ridiculous. Now if you're trying to make up what was lost during the pandemic or what you're having to pay to get someone to show, raise the prices and move on. Side note the tables and chairs you aren't using are covered in dust and look quite gross.
Great food and great service. Nice atmosphere and respectful of Covid issues.
the best service, the food was amazing and carmen (our waitress) was sooo PROFESSIONAL and GREAT!
i will definitely be back!
The fried pickles were phenomenal and with the exception of the burger being overdone, the flavors were amazing! Our waiter, Chato (?), was awesome! Will definitely try to come again if we make it back to the area!
We had the poutine, wings and a bacon burger. Everything was excellent.
Good spot before a Fire match at Soldier Field. Will be back.
Great customer service would recommend for people to try it
It's not like it was before closing for CV-19. Now, kinda blah and just ok! Service guy kept coming back to our table and asking questions we'd already supplied! Friends didn't like it because they were vegans and thought they could get a Turkey or Vegan meal or burger. My burger, altho appearing smaller than before, was great!
Everything about our visit was perfect! Excellent customer service from all their employees.
Best tater tots and sweet potato fries I've ever had.
We came when they were understaffed, food wasn't cooked properly and the wait times were excessive. Overall poor experience. Friendly host was the only brightside.
Nice environment would definitely go to again very nice people
Food doesn’t taste as good as it smells the first night we were turned around for them “being at full capacity”although a table of two were walking out as my husband and I were walking in. Drinks were good for the most part but definitely over priced for bland food we couldn’t even eat the wings they were burnt and salty
Other than the bogus PPE charge, we enjoyed eating here.
We had terrible service. Our waitress brought us our first beverages and that was it. We went the rest of the time without any water or anything. She brought us our bill and said “she noticed we were winding down so she wanted to bring us our bill.” By then we were so mad we just wanted to leave. Terrible experience and we won’t be back!
Disappointed overall. Took forever to get our burgers. Seemed pretty average considering the high prices. A la cartel for fries is ridiculous. Would've rather gone to Au Cheval for a gourmet burger, which is well worth it.
Well no place to park when you travel from out of state, so paid $21.00 just to eat there and then they charge a $2.50 fee cleaning for each person. When I went to the restroom the stall I chose was out of toilet paper so I had to wait for someone to come in to ask to hand me some then when I went out to tell my waiter she said she would tell her manager and the fee you pay they stated when you came in did include the restroom being cleaned. So obviously they are not up on cleaning the bathroom or they would have known that there was no toilet paper. Then when received burger the cheese was way over cooked. When received my bill they made sure to add $5.00 on there for me having 2 people with me.
They were so understaffed that we had little to no service unless we asked. In 60 minutes time we were served two drinks. 30 minutes after we ordered our food still had not arrived. We left prior to any food arriving. It was a terribly disappointing experience.
Came out to Chicago to go to the Shedd Aquarium. Burger Bar is a 4 minute walk from the South Shore station at Museum Campus. Great food. Great atmosphere.
We arrived in Chicago at 6pm after a long car ride. Burger Bar happened to be on our block and happened to have an open reservation at 730.
The host was very welcoming. There was a fee due to Covid, I believe it was referred to as a PPE and cleaning fee. It was $10 so that was a little frustrating since all they did was wipe down the table and chair in between customers. But the food was amazing and the staff was very kind. It was evident they were working hard. We will definitely be revisiting the burger bar the next time we are in town!
Horrible experience. Food and service was horrible. Then my food was over cooked. Then I ordered a drink from the bar and there was lemon seeds froze in the ice.
The burger was pretty good. I liked the build your own option. Service was great but kitchen was very slow.
Not many cocktails to choose from but decent selection of bottled beers. Burger was delicious. Wings were good. Overall good food but quite pricey.
This place blows. Never eat here. The management is lazy and the staff is drowning. Horrible experience.
Great beer selection and burger selection, especially the shrimp burger and the impossible burger. The burgers are a good size that don't leave you feeling bloated, which is the best part. Our waitress was kind and warm, took great care of us despite a busy evening.
Food isn’t as good as it used to be. Definitely not worth the price.
The food and service was great! For this type of restaurant it is on the higher end in terms of price, but is worth it if you’re looking for great burgers.
My wife and I were looking for a good burger while in Chicago and are so glad to have found them. Burgers and sides are great. They have a full bar and music isn't loud but enjoyable so you can still hold a conversation. They are taking covid precautions seriously which i can appreciate. I definitely recommend. BTW you need to make a reservation right now as they aren't at full capacity. You won't be disappointed 😁
We had a reservation and were there on time. We waited for 40 min to be seated while it was mostly empty. We left. I better not grt charged. Horrible service
Absolutely amazing bison burger and service was GREAT. Got us in 30 minutes before reservation.
They just added Chicken Wings to their menu and they were very tasty and a good value for the price.
Finished off a day at the Shedd Aquarium with my 11 yr son, burgers are an easy fill for kids at that age. Google gave this as a suggestion and with Covid I felt this would be a good try. Great staff they were friendly and very personal with me and my son. Great atmosphere lots of TV's to watch nice place, good view of Grant Park.
The only issue I had I asked for my burger Medium and I got it well done. Outstanding for well done. The burger wasn't burnt it was a proper well done burger. I would've liked my burger Medium.
Overall worth the stop.
Went to Chicago to go to the shedd. Made reservations here. The manager, and staff were very friendly. The food was delish...will definitely go back
Burgers were great & the bartenders/manager were very attentive. Would definitely go again. Do recommend you make a reservation though, it makes a difference.
Great service ! Carmen was awesome ! She was very informative and let us know everything on the menu !
We had a nice time. Our server was really nice, the food was great and everything completely followed Covid protocol.
$2.50 covid charge per guest pushed me away. Extremely expensive restaurant to start. Paying steak prices for an a la carte burger. The least you can do is cover the cost of the hand sanitizer at the door. Covid isn't a revenue stream.
The illinois restaurant association has more lobbying power than a pedestrian poking in for a burger and fries. Use it or eat the costs of the government regulations for me to eat your expensive cheeseburger.
Staff was super friendly, great food, great atmosphere
