The service was impeccable. The girl who waited on us was well versed in her job. The badass deviled eggs we unique and very tasty. The burgers were made to perfection. We will be back.
Ordered the best burger I've ever eaten. The Wild Bill Stacker was amazing
First time there. Host/owner was informative and enthusiastic about his restaurant.
Waiter was awesome, food excellent and the shake at the was perfect.
Slow service and not that busy. Appetizer came with food and slow to even come to our table to take order.
Wings good food just okay a bit overcooked burgers and fries.
Very good food, little pricey
The service was outstanding and so were the burgers! We went there because of the gluten free bun option and my husband said it did not disappoint. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Chicago!
enjoyed sitting at the bar and watched the hockey game and other sports.
I ordered a burger well done and after a lengthy wait for me food, the burger came to me rare. I had to send it back for another burger which did come well done the 2nd time.
We were screamed at by another patron - super scary.
The food and beer was good, bartender was able to find information for my restrictions and helped me out
They were closed on the day we had reservations for. It was only for the lunch service on that day due to a provision shortage, but that was the exact time we had the reservation.
It would be good for some way to communicate instances like that from the restaurant to OpenTable so the customer using the reservation app can be notified and adjust their plans. We had to go through some work to secure parking in the city near this place to just have to go find somewhere else to dine.
We booked at 9:15am reservation and got to the restaurant to find they were closed. I called them and they said they don’t open until 10am and they don’t take reservations on Sunday until after 2pm
The burger was fabulous, one of the best I’ve eaten! Fries were perfectly crispy, onion ring had a great taste but would have preferred larger pieces of onion instead of strings. Milkshake was definitely good but not worth $8. It took a long time to get our food but that could be due to a shortage of employees (like many restaurants these days).
The service was absolutely terrible. My girlfriend and I went and our server served everyone else before us. We waited 30 minutes just for him to take our order, we didn’t get our drinks, our food was super cold, and the vibe was just off.
Such a great spot! The burger and fries I had WAS SOOO GOOD!! My sister had the wings. She said the wings were a bit fatty but the sauce was good. Excellent for people watching.
The burger was the best I have eaten in a restaurant. The place was packed, and the staff did an excellent job.
One of the best burgers I had. The atmosphere was electric. Great place. Definitely would go back again.
Meh…the service was lacking…the food was not as good as it appears in the pics…$150 for 3 burgers, fries, 6 beers, and a pitiful jar of fried pickles that we didn’t get until after we were almost done with our meal…the killer part is that they weren’t busy and there was more than enough staff on hand…they just kinda forgot about us…I hate to criticize during these times but they did not live up to the expectations…so, meh…
I got the hot and spicy burger. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare and the overall flavor was great. The restaurant as definitely short staffed but i guess thats understandable. The only negative thing was the fries. They didn't come with the burger and were an extra 3.50 and were pretty bad.
The food was great, but the service was sad. The server just couldn't understand my order even though it was simple (I had to correct him 3 times on a "bison burger, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato"), they forgot our fries twice, which they finally brought out as I was paying, they never refilled my water and the meal took a very long time in spite of there not being many people there.
If you're going to chill and watch some sports, it is a good spot.
Waiter didn’t bring water for everyone and was confused when we asked a second time for water. The restaurant was out of veggie burgers and said they could substitute an Impossible Burger. He neglected to mention the $7.50 surcharge. The menu did not list a few either.
The waiter never came by to see if we needed anything besides water, taking our order, and bringing the check. Our table didn’t have any napkins or silverware. It would have been nice to have a napkin to wipe off fingers and kids ketchup drips. The waiter blamed the kitchen on the poor service. The food came as we ordered and was prompt. The kitchen service was fine.
Solid time, good service
The most delicious burger and burger salad ever. The greens and vinaigrette dressing are beautiful to look at and to taste.
The burger was amazing and the service was outstanding.
The waiter was extremely rude and ignored us. We were there for 2 hours and he came to the table maybe twice. We had to get up and ask for water and to order. I understand being short staffed but this was purposely ignoring the customers.
We stopped here before going to a concert. The burger was good and the beer was cold. Not the best burger I ever had, but it was good and well cooked.
We were able to be seated before our scheduled time. Our server was courteous and attentive. The food was good.
The food was great and I will definitely visit again.
Ok… just saying … I went for lunch at 1130… when it was first opening.
Food was good service was slow… which is due to lack of help …. Normal for most restaurants now…
Where it went bad was when it was time to leave …. I went to the bathroom and GAGGED… FILTHY DISGUSTING …. My GF took her grand child to the ladies room … SAME..
Someone had puked in the urinal in the men’s room… the stalls were as bad as most truck stops!! Mind u … they had just opened ! I’m sorry …. I’ll never recommend it or return …. If the bathrooms were that bad what must the kitchen be like???
The staff were overwhelmed. The chips on the appetizer were stale. The burger was cooked to order and flavor was good. Overall, felt the experience would have been better based on ratings.
Burger Bar delivers when it comes to flavor. The burgers are huge and delicious. Everything is a la cart so be prepared to spend $$$ for your meal. The fried pickles were so so good. Where BB failed for our experience was in service. Our server seemed to make up answers to questions he didn’t know the answer to. We had to ask repeatedly for a beverage that was ordered that was finally delivered about 20 minutes or more. The staff was overly eager to clear plates asking us mid-bite if we were finished and ready for our plates to be removed. We will give them another shot, but when staff doesn’t know the answer to something they should go find out vs making something up.
I always come here before shows at Northerly Island, straightforward food, great beer selection!
Their website lied about being gluten and celiac aware. The wait staff were completely ignorant about gluten free needs. The restaurant is so small most of the tables are situated between the kitchen and the restrooms, with loud music blaring. This made it beyond difficult to communicate with anyone about dietary needs.
Bottom line: if you have gluten issues go somewhere else.
It was okay, but nothing special. The burgers were nothing to brag about.
Took over 20 min for a host to even acknowledge we were standing there. The waiters avoided eye contact as they walked by even though it was clear we had not been helped. When we went to order, they told us they were completely out of chicken wings. It was a Wednesday evening and only 5pm. For a sprite and a lemonade we paid $15.00. Would not go back.
Waited for over an hour to get our food which was cold, took another 30 minutes to remake it, as we were finishing up eating they took our plates with food still in it. Very dissappointing
Had a great time here. Servers were great and really attentive and gave great advice on food. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Would 100% come back!
Good food, but pricey.
It got somewhat crowded around 15 minutes of us being there and most people coming in did not have reservations.
The staff were great and extremely helpful. Food was great, especially the milkshake !!!!
