The Farmhouse Inn has bed and breakfast lodging, on-site restaurant, and special event venue for weddings, business meetings, and family gatherings for 8 to 200 guests. The Inn features smoked brisket, chicken, ribs, and sausage. Homemade rolls and desserts are served and is opened to special events during the winter months. You’re at the farm, so sit back and be comfortable while we serve you family style. Family style service means we bring your food in bowls and on platters. You pass it around and share the food and fellowship at your table. It is just like being at grandma’s, except we’ll wash all the dishes.

Everything was perfect ACCEPT the portions are very, very small. The food is served family style. We had heard great things about the brisket, so we ordered brisket for two, cheesy potatoes for two and corn for two. We got two small dinner rolls and portions of the brisket, potatoes, and corn that barley would be enough for one. Everything else couldn’t have been better. Food tasted terrific, no noise, very cozy, friendly and maximumly clean. We (party of two) will go back, but you must order food for 4 unless you are a very, very light eater. Great dollar value. Gets a 3 only because of portion size, nothing else.

I had the good fortune of hosting two international visitors at this unique rural treasure. Burchell's is an authentic Nebraska farmstead that operates a B&B and the restaurant. My friends and I arrived at the farm to be greeted (in a good way) by the dogs. We happened to be the only people dining during our early evening seating on a Friday night. The service was fantastic, our waitress very helpful in guiding us through the choices of barbecue meats (we settled on pork ribs and smoked brisket) and the many sides (don't pass up the cheesy potatoes or the baked beans). All are served family style and we enjoyed them so much we had to pass on what looked and sounded like some awesome deserts. Dinner for 3 with a bottle of wine was around $80. If I lived closer this would be a regular stop for me.
