Buon Gusto means ‘good taste’ in Italian. We strive to bring you the ‘good taste’ of Italy in all aspects of our restaurant. Located in the historic Victoria Hotel building in St. George’s Square in Downtown Guelph, Buon Gusto is warm and casual with exposed stone walls and a contemporary interior design. Our wood-burning oven, made in Reggello, Tuscany is ‘il cuore’ (the heart) of Buon Gusto. We import molino caputo tipo 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes from Italy, to make our pizzas in the traditional Neapolitan thin-crust style, hearth-baking them at 900 degrees Fahrenheit for just 90 seconds. Our menu also features pastas made from family recipes and small-plates of antipasti, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

The spaghetti carbonara was excellent as was the service, but once again the pizza is mush in the middle and thin as a crepe. Not sure why this is always the case but we won’t be ordering pizza again. Slightly thicker crust and cooked a little longer might help, but what do I know.

This is my FAVOURITE date night spot EVER. It is truly a hidden gem and worth the drive from the GTA. The pizza here is always incredible and is by far the closest to the pizza in Italy that I’ve tasted. The pasta is also amazing but the two MUST HAVES are in the appetizer section. Both the pork belly and the burrata are simply to die for and we order them every single time. The value here is also incredible as we can typically get away with a bill under $120 including cocktails. If there is anywhere in Guelph to go for dinner it is 100% Buon Gusto.

Came here as a last minute anniversary dinner. Service was not good. Never received drink we ordered and server just had an oh well it’s busy attitude. Probably won’t be back

One of my very favourite restaurants! The food is outstanding! This time we had the Caprese salad and the shrimp pasta and the linguine with chicken and goat cheese. And it was hard not to have the fig and prosciutto pizza, but this was equally outstanding!
