This used to be my favorite restaurant until Sunday night. The service was excellent, but what happened to the kitchen? Brussels sprouts were greasy with way too much olive oil and when I sent them back to cook them crispy, they returned in 5 minutes the same. Cauliflower curry was overcooked and mediocre. The short ribs were nice. I am so sad that the kitchen went from 5 star, to 2. Bring back the old chef please!

Casual restaurant. One room includes the bar area and open view of the kitchen. Modern decor. Excellent food and service. Flatbread was a great starter. Next we enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts salad. Entree Pork Chop was great, as was their Kickin' Fried Chicken. Good find in downtown Mill Valley.

We love the short ribs there, BUT they've changed how they're prepared from shredded meat with garlic mashed to a more French style with braised chunks with vegetables. Not as good as the former preparation and therefore a major disappointment for us.

The food is delicious, but not inexpensive. The restaurant can be noisy Saturday nights and prime time on Sunday, but if you ask for the back room, it is always quiet there.

My Friend chose Bungalow 44 to go for his birthday. We both had the Kickin Fried Chicken which was delicious! The chicken was crunchy and juicy, mash potatoes creamy and yummy! We also shared the butterscotch pudding and the Sticky Toffee cake, both were heavenly. The service was great! Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The main dining room was very lively but we were seated in the covered outside area and it was perfect!

Went to celebrate a Major Birthday: got there for happy hour to take advantage of oysters on the half-shell at a dollar each, along with some Italian sausage flatbread, washed down with the Bungalow's Manahattan-for-Two Special. The oysters (as always!) were terrific, the drink fabulous, the flatbread hot and savory and filling. Love the Bungalow! (AND we can walk there!)

Our favorite restaurant for an early dinner before the theatre. Oysters are a special bargain at $1 each before 6. Our waitress introduced us to the Hamachi Poppers, which were divine.

The place was packed with people and very loud! Ambiance is ok. Just
A room with tables and a bar.
Our server was ok, not interested in
Us at all. She spent most of the night chatting with the table next to us and looking at pics on their phone. No need to go back .

OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GOT. I HAD A SKIMPY SERVING OF DRY, GRILLED HALIBUT, RAW CARROTS INSTEAD OF COOKED, FOUR TINY PIECES OF POTATOES, AND SOMETHING ELSE I COULDN'T EAT. A GLASS OF CHAARDONNAY WAS NOT WORTH $17.00. I WON'T GO BACK.

I always order wrong here. You are pretty safe with the burger
- and the kid's burger is an amazing value if you have a kid in tow. My dish (zucchini spaghetti) was ruined by burnt garlic in the dish. My mother in law won the ordering process with the braised short ribs. Fried chicken is ok - not as good as *mine*, but since I only make it once a year, i would get a bucket to go some time.

We eat here frequently, and are generally positive about it. However, the noise level is getting to be too much. Impossible to hold a cross table conversation. You know the cartoon about two people in a restaurant conversing by cell phone? This is about it.

Noisy, but being older we are more sensitive to that.
Server forgot to serve us our wine. Halfway through our entree she came by to check and I reminded her. She did comp the wine for us. Food was OK but not delicious. Parking is a problem on weekends

Brought me a salad with something not listed on the menu (which I have an allergy) and then instead of reversing the charge, brought me a terrible substandard version of the salad, which I didn't eat and then ignored us at the bar for the rest of the night.
