Always a fantastic meal at Bully Boy! We had 8 people for dinner and everyone loved it. The Lobster Frites is amazing and they have some of the freshest oysters in town!
Greeted at door , Great atmosphere , service & food spot on ... menu is hard to choose from honestly will have to go back to try everything...
Bartender made the perfect Tito’s Chilled with a splash of orange ...
Got to get that vitamin C 😎
Will definitely be back. We were sat at a 2 top where one of us was facing the outer wall and the chairs are actually a bit uncomfortable (regular guy, normal build). if the table were along the wall or square on a diagonal, could’ve been much more enjoyable. A few cocktails and my beautiful wife remedied the initial impression :) Also, beneath my silver set/napkin we’re a bunch of breadcrumbs (weird). Nitpicking aside, the cocktails, food, and service were great. Menu was very interesting and unexpected. Brussels were great. Got the chicken platter out of curiosity. was really enjoyable and fun to share. So overall a very nice date.
Great food. Oysters very fresh, other small plates (okonomiyaki tots, empanada, asian pear salad, roasted brussels sprouts) were tasty and enough for our party of four. Eddie the server was knowledgeable and friendly. Took one star off because we think the empanadas should have had two instead of just one for the four of us.
I have given Bully Boy 5 stars before but was a little disappointed with the service on Sunday night. Had a 7:30 reservation. They had run out of two things on the menu. They put our party of 7 in the corner with 4-5 of us facing the corner vs the well designed restaurant. There were some much better table available that were never sat. By the time It occurred to me we were all sat and I did not want to make a fuss in front of out of town friends. One of the drink orders was messed up. Otherwise server was extremely nice and food was solid as usual. Still a solid restaurant and ill be back but just giving them room for improvement.
Interesting menu. Some options are better than others. Wine list is a bit disappointing for the restaurant's price point.
Great $1 oyster happy hour, and nice drink selection.
The food was wonderful. We split a bunch of appetizers. Entrees are limited, but that meant we could try so much more. Uber, because parking is non-existent. But we loved the food, service and ambiance.
Ambiance is great. Food is very good but expensive for the small portions. No complaints per se but I probably won't be back due to it not being a good value.
What a great restaurant. Not only was the food savory but inspiring.
Reviews looked decent so we were excited to check out Bully Boy. Some said not as good as 2 Urban Licks but we had never been and the menu looked great so we gave it a shot. The food was very average and the meals were something I could have cooked myself at home. Way overpriced for what you get. The cocktails were straight up awful and are probably the main reason I won’t be back. Between the Bourbon #3, Mezcal #2, Cacacha #1, & Vodka #1 (we had 2 each and tasted each other’s) they all tasted like a college kid tried to make jungle juice and still failed at that. I am telling you... they were awful. For food we shared the Brussels, raw oysters, fried oyster sliders, lobster frites, and the 60 second steak. Brussels were good but not crispy enough and the recipe was pretty easy to replicate. Raw oysters were great (we had the French kiss and T&A) but they were pretty small for the $3 charge compared to most restaurants that are known for raw seafood. The lobster was tasted pretty good with the truffle sauce, but it may or may not have been frozen and was only half which was no way near worth the $42 they charge (75% of the dish is French fries). The 60 second steak was probably the best thing on the menu easily but still pretty average. The oyster sliders were decent and probably fairly priced but it was the last thing we got served and by then we were just over it. Overall just an average over priced experience with terrible cocktails. On to the next...
So disappointed. I’ve had Bully Boy on my list of restaurants to try in Atlanta for quite some time now, so we had high hopes. When we walked in for our reservation we loved the scene and ambiance and then were seated at the two person table closest to the door. Each time the door swung open we caught the freezing draft from outside and at times the door was left open. It’s odd because you’d think the hostesses standing at the front would walk over to close it, but instead we had to. It took us 30 minutes for us to get our drinks from the bar, are you kidding me? The server blamed it on the bartender being behind for the night, but of those 30 we saw the drinks sit at the bar for pickup for at least 10. Our oysters came before the drinks and our first app a minute after their stoical. Service was slow and less than mediocre throughout the night. Food came out as ready and was nothing to rave about. We paid $3 an oyster for a dozen oysters the size of a thumbprint. We did enjoy the blue crab rice, but the amount of egg that’s put on top takes away from the dish itself. Not worth the time or money spent.
Fabulous, friendly service and inventive menu. The oysters were superb: fresh, clean and ice cold. I’m not sure if the Valentines Day menu was different than usual but we started with some oysters and the smoked blue fish dip then shared the lobster fries and the 60 second steak - both were out of this world! The cocktails were delicious as well. Will definitely be back.
Great food, great location, good for valentines day
Great service, great food. I’d definitely go back.
I’ve never seen oysters this small in my life. It was ridiculous and couldn’t believe they’d serve them. The food was decent but nothing amazing. The server grabbed plates multiple times before we were done. He also grabbed the bill while we were finishing our drinks. He did bring my friend a dessert for her birthday but also grabbed that before we were done.
Our server Boran (I hope I got his name correct) was AMAZING!! He guided us through the menu and gave us wonderful suggestions that did not disappoint! It was my friend and i’s first visit to Billy Boy, but because of our wonderful experience with our server, it won’t be our last!
Will be back!
The food was good and we enjoyed the diverse menu. We barely tolerated the noise level though. The music was too loud, which drove people to speak louder. Since they had a couple of large parties in there, we could barely hear each other on our smaller table. I missed half of what the waitress was saying. We mentioned it a few times to the staff and requested that they at least lower the music, but they didn't
yes! soooo good. seafood at its best. everything on the menu looks like you want to order it, and then it comes and you were right. only complaint is how full i was at the end.
All I can say is I LOVE BB! My first time dining was the weekend of 1/17. I enjoyed it so much that I visited the very next weekend with a different friend. The hostess (not sure if this is her official title, but she was at the door greeting us and seated us both times), was simply amazing. I am sorry I did not ask her name. The service - outstanding, food - delish, music - great, view - lovely. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. I love the oyster sliders, braised short ribs (with noodles), brussel sprouts, wings, broccoli (a little spice, but tasty). The fries look amazing - will have those next visit. I will certainly be back!
The food and service was amazing!!
Perfect date night spot. Food is amazing & atmosphere is great. We will def. be back soon!
Great place for tapas! Bully Boy has become one of my faves in Inman.
Such an amazing place with even better food. I love the atmosphere and the service staff is always great. It did take a little longer for our server to come over for the first time, but someone else stepped in and got us drinks which was really nice of him.
Food is DELICIOUS. Definitely going back again...and again.
Bully Boy was a great experience. Monique was amazing! She gave us awesome recommendations. I enjoyed trying new foods and I will definitely suggest this restaurant to those looking for a cute date spot.
food did not feel special or well thought out. Did not seem as if much care went into preparation or presentation. Way too salty. Service was distracted.
Wanted to like this place but will not be coming back. While the food we received was good, unfortunately the restaurant was under-staffed. We did not receive one of our entrees and our drinks, including water, ran dry more than once requiring us to actually request more. I feel the waitress did a good job given the number of tables/guests, but just could not keep up with everything as there was not enough staff/mgmt to help. Also the valet situation was beyond terrible. Long wait for our vehicle only to then be told we had to come down to the parking area to pick it up. What's the point in valet if I have to essentially walk to the parking spot.
Unfortunately, I think we hit the restaurant on a bad night. Service was extremely slow, and not because we were stretching out our order. We showed up at 7:28 for a 7:30 reservation, and we did not leave until 9:20. I had booked another event down the street (that I had to prepay for) starting at 9:00. Needless to say we missed that other event by no fault of our own, and I cannot get reimbursed for my prepayment. The food was excellent and our server was extremely nice, it just seemed to be a very off night. My wife and I only get so many opportunities to go out in the city, and I don't think we will ever take the chance of going to Bully Boy again.
Was a bit disappointed in the food... everything we ordered was just way too salty & it wasn't necessary. I think it would have been great otherwise.
Family in town. Very nice
Went for a special dinner with a close friend. Both had cocktails to start and a dozen oysters - 3 each of the 4 varieties offered. All were good. Had crispy brussel sprouts, the rock shrimp loaded "tots"w/ bonito and the blue crab fried rice topped with that incredible omurice omelet. All fantastic. Finished off with their take on a "kit kat" bar - also delicious. Total bill came to $150 before tip. Not too bad for a nice dinner out but a little on the high-end to make BullyBoy a regular weeknight go-to spot.
