Food is fantastic! Great plates to share.
This place is amazing. Truly enjoyed the service and every bite. The calamari to the bbq shrimp were on point. Will definitely recommend and be back soon
Food was just so-so. The noise level was through the roof, hard to have a conversation.
The lobster frites were by far the best part. Drinks were expensive but good. The red snapper tartare was good but not sure it was worth the price. Brussel sprouts were also good but definitely not the best I've ever had. I would go back for the lobster frites and to try the crab fried rice but I think there's definitely better options in Atlanta
Excellent oysters! Very good food and the service was spot on! Fun atmosphere, a little loud but overall my boyfriend and I enjoyed our evening and agreed that it was a good time. Drinks were good as well.
The food doesn’t live up to the price. Great ambiance and idea but the food was unimpressive.
The food and cocktails are Outstanding! I can’t wait to eat here again! Please keep up the excellent job of combining non-traditional flavors! All I have to say is YUM!
Everything is delicious. Wine selection superb. Our server was fun and attentive. It was my friend’s first time there and everyone loved it. That omelette blue-crab rice is SICK.
We’ll keep coming back!
The food was delicious! The Waygu Tartare on the sourdough was delicious with so many different flavors present. Get the Lobster Frites!...one of the most unique dishes we’ve had. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The only reservation I have about returning is that it’s very loud. Probably not the best place is you are looking for an intimate setting, but if you’re there with friends, it’s awesome!
This is still one of our new favs in atlanta! New items keep the menu fresh! The squid ink pasta with shrimp and citrus is amazing. The oysters are always soo fresh and clean we ordered a second dozen yum!! Pls go try!!!
Good first outing. A little loud. Good portion size. Draught beer would be a good addition.
All was great except disappointed chopped salad was changed from crab to tuna. Would not order again w tuna.
Nice concept and ambiance. Oysters were fresh and delicious. All in all food was good but not special, and the value and portions for the price is really low. 3 of us spent almost 60 a person and no one was even close to full. If you’re looking for good cocktails and a snack then Bully Boy is great. Just don’t go hungry.
The food descriptions sound amazing, but was just okay. It’s a cool atmosphere and the drinks were great!
Great experience, good ambiance and decors. The food was delicious! My one recommendation is to find some better music that matches the vibe of the very cool interior design and overall experience. It seems like they just had a Spotify top 20 pop playlist on. That’s super basic for a place this is more sophisticated.
Food presentation is great but no flavor. Quite a long wait between ordering and receiving food. Ambiance was lively with a good buzz. Limited liquor selection
This was our 2nd visit The 1st time was mediocre, so we thought we'd give it a 2nd chance because we liked the location. It was a bad decision on our part. The valet , server, and management of the restaurant is poor. We ordered cocktails for 4. They all arrived at different times & after waiting for a Lemon Vesper were told they didn't have the ingredients. Our reservations were for 7:30. We had barely finished our main course when the server ask us if we would like dessert. We asked to see the menu. She returned to inform us that the kitchen was closed. It was a cold evening in Atlanta, the restaurant was freezing and we had to sit with our coats on. When we mentioned the desert issue to the manager he asked us if we wanted dessert to go. This is a place that has pretences of being on the upper end of restaurants in Atlanta, but can't deliver. We were there to celebrate a special occasion with good friends and all of the above put a real damper on the evening. The food is unexceptional and there are better oysters at the Kimball House. There were even bits of shells in our oysters. Be prepared to be yelled at by the valet guys, and to wait a longer than normal for them to park your car and bring you a ticket. I was hoping the restaurant would make up for the rude start, but didn't. Lessons learned: our first impressions were correct.
Whoever chose to open this restaurant should reconsider everything. The staff was deplorable, completely uninterested in providing any type of decent service and ruined the dining experience. The food is meant to be shared yet no utensils are provided and everyone is handed a tiny bread plate which barely would contain a leaf of lettuce, let alone a decent portion of food. When we asked for a spoon, our server look and acted as if we were asking for the moon. The food was completely unremarkable and I can't imagine a situation where we would ever want to return.
Chef Justin Dixon has crafted an outstanding menu of east coast seafood. It is definitely in my Top 5 top restaurants in Atlanta right now. Service was impeccable and the ambiance super cool as well. Run, don’t walk down the BeltLine to BullyBoy!
I can’t wait to eat at Bully Boy again. Loud but fun, different (but not too edgy) and delicious
We enjoyed our dinner last weekend very much. We had early reservations so noise level was manageable. Our server was friendly and attentive and the food was creative and tasty. There are definitely menu items we would like to try on a return trip.
We had a few issues during our meal. The dishes are served tapas style. Small plates come out and you're really not sure what you're going to get. The brussels sprouts were fantastic, but then the bbq shrimp were so bad we sent them back. Drinks were forgotten after we'd asked twice. Food ended up just seeming over-priced. We left thinking about where we would stop for a snack later to make up for dinner.
They were out of a few things during a peak dining time.
Delicious red snapper tartare!
Great meal with great wine. Menu is fantastic with a lot of variety but not over complicated or pretentious. Quality ingredients thoughtfully prepared. Solid service.
Walked in and was immediately impressed - they were playing my favorite DJ! Service was friendly and knowledgeable - our server, B, gave us honest opinions and the perfect amount of attention. The menu is a perfect cultivation of eastern seaboard delights. Perfect little addition to that section of the Beltline!
Impressive and delightful ....
Fresh and well presented..
The staff is engaged as well as engaging.
Atlanta Mag review enticed us to try Bully boy for a milestone b'day celebration. Unfortunately for us, this time they got it all wrong. Once we found it, I wish we hadn't. $14 each for tiny drinks which are far better elsewhere for half the price and double the pour. Crab roll, recommended by the server, was a mushy, tasteless, and soggy mess on an over buttered roll for $19...included lots of fries, but not ‘shoestring’ as described on the menu. Brussels were ok but overly salty. Actually I had a far superior crab roll at the Boston airport! No mention of my birthday and NO NEED to ever go back again! PS: go to Banshee instead. Also written up in Atlanta Mag. and it was wonderful on all accounts...food, service, and drinks!
Great decor and food! The noise was almost unbearable. I couldn’t hear my date or the server.
The food was excellent. The only complaint was we got an oyster that was very obviously not fresh. Smelled awful. However, we did point it out to our waitress who promptly brought us a replacement. The mushroom empanadas were excellent. The vibe is definitely more geared towards a younger, trendy crowd. Good place for small plates to share with some friends!
Great ceviche and Brussels sprouts
Such a great night! We tried multiple drinks and small plates and were super pleased. Didn’t love the steak tartare, but the rest was fantastic! Def will be back!
Have been to Bully Boy three times recently and it’s been fantastic each time. The smoked fish dip, Brussels sprouts, ceviche, squid ink pasta with red shrimp, and blue crab fried rice were all phenomenal. The restaurant has a nice upbeat vibe as well. One of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta right now!
I can say nice things about the service. The food that was not oversalted to point we had to send it back or a little questionable in terms of freshness was just...bland. Ambiance was ok. I am confused by all the high ratings because it was frankly average at best. Be cautious with the oysters...2 of the dozen were past their best before...a fact the kitchen staff seemed curiously unconcerned about.
Good food and service. Chef is really putting together some food inspired dishes!
Great menu, lively atmosphere and really cool interior. Will go back again for sure!
Server was wonderful and the food was amazing
We were celebrating a birthday....the restaurant was amazing....they brought us a.champagne cocktail and dessert!!
Lived up to its company’s reputation. Gnocchi and 60-Second stake were phenomenal.
Has to be one of the top restaurants in Atlanta. Amazing.
