Bullvino's Churrascaria is a family owned traditional Brazilian steakhouse having It's first location in Lowertown St. Paul, MN. Churrascaria, which translates from the Portuguese word "barbecue" is served all-you-can-eat. Roving waiters serve the barbecued meats from large skewers directly onto the seated diners' plates allowing each guest to enjoy a variety of options. Included in our flat rate pricing is our large self serve salad bar which has a wide range of salads, soups, meats, and cheeses.

Do NOT pick this restaurant- or at least this location- on a special occasion. We have experienced some slower service here before (we are frequent diners here, visiting about once a month on average) but this visit was beyond terrible. We expected it to be busy. 5pm on Father’s Day. While we got seated pretty quickly and our drinks were ready fast, we were not able to get the attention of any Gaucho’s for over 20 minutes, and it took us 55 minutes to get rolls and potatoes. Tables previously sat and in the middle of dining were continuously served before our small party of three - definitely ask to be sat near the salad bar or kitchen and don’t let them seat you near the doors. The staff seemed very confused and uncoordinated, which is very much unlike the norm here. Disappointed to say the least when the meal was spent more trying to gain someone’s attention rather than enjoy a $200 meal.

The wait time for food was long and had many waiters walk right past to other tables around us as they knew who they were, seemed like if you’re not a regular or know someone, you weren’t important. Also the food was over cooked some to the point of charred (shrimp, chicken, and bacon wrapped beef and chicken) and under whelming with flavor, most of the meats where chewy and not as tender as I would expect for the cut of meat they say it is, not sure if it’s just a lower quality or different cut that they are trying to pass off as a better one, but definitely not going back for the price.

Service can be very slow at times with waiters coming by very sporadically. The people bringing the meat around are inconsistent and there will be times where you will not receive a cut unless you ask, which to their credit, a server will ask you if you have any special requests.

The St Paul location is 100% better . Service was a little slow we had a large party and had to keep finding staff to bring food. One of our party ordered sea bass, it was not edible as it was not cooked all the way. It was a busy day but we did spend close to $100 a person and expected a little bit more .

The Bloomington location isn't as nice as the saint Paul location. Service is not as good.

We've been too multiple restaurants similar in style, but this has been the best! Service was great! Food was exceptional! Really appreciated that they had 4 options for dinner so each of us was able to select the option that best suited their tastes. Everyone was prompt and we didn't have to wait long for our favorite foods to come around. Highly recommend. This will be our go to place for a nice dinner out.
