The service was great. The host and hostess were very accommodating as we had two infants in strollers. Our server Carlos was professional and friendly. The food was awesome, we enjoyed everything we ate. Will definitely dine here again.
Bulla Gastrobar is a great location for any pre/post events in the downtown or midtown area. The food and ambience are very good. Today, I had a business meeting during Sunday brunch for a party of four. The meeting was scheduled early for 11:30am before the restaurant would get crowded with other patrons. The service was horrible! We were there for two hours, and only received the first course and one round of drinks before we had to request the other course be packed for carry out. I shared my frustration with our wait staff, and his response was nonchalant. My final bill was over $250.00 for subpar service!
The look of the restaurant is great. It's lively scene and music is moderately loud. Some of our dishes were excellent (jalapeno ceviche, stuffed dates, cannelloni, kale ceasar), some ok (grilled steak was bland, ham croquettes), the octopus was borderline inedible (we didn't finish it). the food came out in a steady progression, in a general order of light to heavy, which I appreciated. Our server was very sweet and attentive (almost too much checking in on how we liked the food).
Overall, a good experience. Not nearly as consistent (food wise) or polished as Barcelona or Iberian Pig, but a nice dinner out.
Definitely coming back. Loved the spot. Great food and service.
The only negative was the parking. With no valet and no sign to indicate where to park, and no mention on open table, we parked at the 1100 building only to be locked out of the garage when we returned after dinner. Front desk person was not helpful when I asked where to park next time.
Casual and bold. Great food. A nice variety of tapas.
The food is always good but not having air conditioning is BAD. Service was terrific but it was just way too hot inside last evening to enjoy our dining experience this time around.
Great restaurant, great food, great service.
Our waiter was great but we ordered multiple tapas and we found ourselves waiting a while in between plates so when we stopped him to inquire, he said he requested they slow us down when he put the order in so our table wouldn't be full of plates because he assumed orders would come out faster but it slowed things down so much we were getting one small plate every 15 minutes. We wish he would have asked us before making that decision. When you wait for a long time between small plates you get hungry again so we just didnt have plates coming consistently or quickly enough so we ate but stayed hungry.
Also one of our items was forgotten so we requested to just have it cancelled instead of attempting to reorder. That was fine except they kept it on our bill and gave us a voucher for next time but they should have asked us if that was okay, so we paid for something we didnt eat and now we have to go back to use the small credit.
With that being said, we had a blast, the outdoor tables were great, and the vibe was lively. We will be back
The were very clear about being short staffed but i dont feel like that was an issue, everyone was nice and helpful.
Food was great very delicious Management very nice
We ate outside but literally sat a foot away from other tables. I could have ate off their plate and joined in on their conversation. The food used to be good but this time it was completely bland and awful. I left hungry because I didn’t want to eat it. I let the server know after he asked and he brushed it off.
This is typically one of my favorite neighborhood spots. However, the food was just okay the last few times we’ve been. The cocktails are as delicious as always, but food quality has definitely gone down.
Overall great experience. Appeared to have just one food runner which contributed to a couple dishes coming out barely warm instead of hot.
The food is acceptable, but service is seriously lacking. The octopus is highly overrated (one small piece of burnt meat over some bland polenta), but the paella is authentic and generously portioned. The Basque fish soup was very good. Out of the montaditos, out of the stuffed dates, relatively early in the evening for a long-weekend night that was likely to be busy. Even though the server suggested add-ons to the churros (we picked sorbet), later on he came back and offered 2 sorbets and 2 ice creams, as he was out of the sorbet! In the end, he brought out about two teaspoons each, of mostly melted, what I imagined to be the last scrapes of the leftover sorbet and ice cream, served in warm coffee cups.
I could go on with a couple more examples throughout the evening, but the point is: service was overall very disappointing: slow, sloppy, unprofessional, and outright rude. If you want Spanish tapas and appreciate good service, try Barcelona down in Inman Park, or better yet any of the two locations of the Iberian Pig, which are really excellent from all points of view. We will not return, not anytime soon.
Food was freakin delicious - you cannot go wrong with anything you decide on! Will 💯% be back. (And soon!)
First, I a reservation for a high top but got placed in the banquet room because the host said I didn’t specify. When I checked my email confirmation I noticed that I did request a high top. The host tried to sell the benefit of being close to the bathroom as a selling point for being sat in the banquet room. I have been here three times and the staff can’t seem to get out of their own way. Definitely a touristy trap kind of restaurant. Food was bland and greasy. Also , at $60+ per head not worth the greasy but bland food!
Booked a high top was seated upstairs in no mans land. Food is always great here but wish we were seated where we were booked. Wait staff upstairs made a point in telling us every time a request meant they needed to walk downstairs which made us feel guilty.
Great neighborhood watering hole, great ambiance and authentic food from spain. Highly recommend
We love Bulla!
Love this neighborhood spot with great value high quality offerings.
It's my first time back to Bulla post CDC mask announcement, and you'd expect some customers not behaving well. Aside from those customers and many new servers still getting up to speed, Bulla's high quality and reasonable prices were unchanged. You'll usually find your favorites as well as something new to try. The team is friendly and high energy, although not quite as efficient as in the past. But overall, I think Bulla is doing great!
Second visit for date night will definitely be back. The paella was awesome
Great food, but slow and inexperienced service. We will gladly dine there again.
Easy parking. Great staff and environment.
Food was pretty good. the service left a lot to be desired.
Overall very good. Menu was a bit confusing, but the service, ambience, and overall taste was pretty good. They had a nice gift for Mother’s Day brunch as well.
The food was excellent and the staff were fun! We had a great Mother's Day brunch and we will be back!
Paella was great and shrimp omelet was good also. Service was awesome
Had a wonderful time ... service was excellent
Loved it! The smoked salmon montaditos and tuna tartare were delicious. We also enjoyed the paella mixta.
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Bulla Gastrobar for Mother’s Day and they treated my mom like a queen! She received a rose and $20 gift card with a card signed by the entire staff. The food was amazing and we enjoyed sharing the brunch tapas amongst ourselves including the smoked salmon, ham croquettes, French toast, chicken and waffles salmon entree, and tuna tartare. I would recommend Bulla Gastrobar to everyone I know!
Mother’s Day. Our server “Lorenzo” was phenomenal!!
I cannot say enough about the phenomenal food and service at Bulla. We had a few things we knew we wanted and allowed our server to choose the rest - best decision ever. I loved the octopus, dates, steak, and ceviche the most, but everything was phenomenal. I will definitely be back.
Mother’s Day brunch
Our server was fantastic! She gave great recommendations and regularly checked in on us. Food was yummy and drinks were refreshing!
Business meeting outdoors in Mid-Town Atlanta. Great service. Seating was perfect. Outside yet in a quieter part of the patio. Thank you for paying attention to the added requests in the reservation!
My friends and I did small plates and drinks. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The plates rolled out Inna timely fashion and the drinks were great. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
The food here never disappoints. A great brunch spot with good, albeit slow, service.
I’ve been to Bulla for both dinner and brunch and have never had a bad dish! The three course brunch is very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get and you can’t beat $3 mimosas! All of the dinner tapas are also incredible.
