By the time we got there they had run out of a lot food items that we wanted to eat which was disappointing. Worst of all though was the service. It was extremely slow. We didn’t even get water until after we got our drinks. At one point one of the menu items was taking a long time to come out so we just cancelled it because we were getting ready to go, 5 mins later it still comes out and we are still charged for it. I’ve been here before and had a much better experience but this time service fell really flat.
There were 5 of us and we got seated right on time on a Friday night. We had the chef's board - all good. We shared the chicken paella (1 guy was allergic to shrimp) and it was very good. I especially liked the jalapeno ceviche. I'm not a big fan of calamari, but it was good - others thought great. Our waiter was attentive and she wrote down the ingredients of the stuffed dates, which were a perfect sweet & savory balance with chorizo and cheese.
Katherine was our server and was one of the best servers I’ve ever had at a dining experience.
Paella was not made well; not crispy.
A fun place with interesting food options, tapas and regular meals and specials, good beer and drinks, can get a bit noisy inside, outside dining is very nice weather permitting. Service is always very good.
The food was okay but service was really disappointing. I think our server was Grace and she seemed to be unhappy to be there, never smiled and provided very slow service. I won't be back after this experience.
Excellent food and service!
Food is hit or miss. Shrimp we got was great. Octopus burned. Drink order turnaround time from the bar is slow. Overall fine but I’d be inclined to spend this amount of money elsewhere.
The service was good, the food was great, and we enjoyed our evening. I would return here if I lived in Atlanta.
Never been here but was curious about the paella. Started off with some tapas and the best was the potatoes. Highly recommend them but spicy. The paella was Awesome. Will be back.
Bulla continues to be a consistent winner! Great food quality, excellent cocktails and attentive service. Tuna tartar and corn puree are always excellent, and just the right size to enjoy alone or with friends. It's a definite neighborhood gem for Midtown!
Birthday - phenomenal.
Bulla is a gem of a tapas bar! The atmosphere is great and the service is consistently good; my wife and I live nearby and have been several times and always enjoy the experience. When the weather is warm, their extensive patio area is one of the best in Midtown. Menu favorites include the Stuffed Shishito Peppers, Patatas Bravas, and Albondigas; if you enjoy sangria, their roja is some of the best in the city. The also have a great bar area (kudos to the designer for the TV positioned so bar patrons can enjoy without it detracting from the restaurant vibe). Overall, if you're looking for a great date spot or just want a great meal, give Bulla a try.
Great vibe. Food was just ok. Ceviche was really good. Excellent service!
As a fan of the Bulla Gastrobar in Miami, I wanted to see if the Atlanta location lived up to my expectations. It did! Food was good, particularly enjoyed the Chef's board of meats and cheeses. The Churassco and Bistro steaks were also outstanding and quite frankly more food than necessary after the appetizer. Carlos our waiter was there when when needed but never intruded on the conversation. The "Proper Gin & tonic" was maybe the best I have had anywhere and I travel to London several times a year! Before this trip to Atlanta I didn't realize that there were locations outside of Miami but will now look for others when traveling.
Awesome place! We ate here prior to a symphony concert. Almost missed the concert we were having such a good time. Catherine was our server. She took very good care of us. Will be back!
The food was very good!. The Sangria, excellent but our server, Argen?. The best!. He was comfortable and knowledgeable and courteous. He is an asset to Bulla.
The food is really good and tasty. The red sangria is delish. Very nice ambiance. Kathryn, our server, was just the best.
Decor was cool, food was average, and service was lacking. Will not return.
The tapas were outstanding! As good as any I had in Spain. The paella my husband ordered was more pedestrian but the drinks were great, the waiter was a dear, and we had an overall fabulous meal.
Love their food! It is the most authentic Spanish cuisine in Atlanta. Their gazpacho is amazing!
The food was absolutely incredible and the building is located in a great part of town.
Great food in a vibrant atmosphere with awesome service.
We celebrated my twin daughters’ 18th birthday. Parking was available in the nearby parking deck. The restaurant validated the parking :)
The restaurant was refreshing in its appearance. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic. The food was tasty and enticing in its appearance. I truly enjoyed my experience here, and I will be returning :)
Great experience!! Will be going back!!
Our party of 6 were all new to visiting the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the wait staff was very attentive. We all agreed it was one that we will go to again.
The food and service were excellent!
Wonderful lunch, until we ordered dessert which took a long time to arrive. I wish we had been told that the dessert would take 25 minutes to come.
Great service, delicious dinner.
Food was amazing, just like you would have in Spain. Upstairs seating service extremely slow and took very long to get drinks. Server was very friendly. There had to be a better system for the upstairs. Very happy to hear the owner and head chef are both Spaniards. Amazing wine list and cocktails. Beautiful restaurant inside. I will be coming back for another taste of Spain!
Muy buena la comida y muy buena la atención
The food was amazing and if you go small plate you can keep the cost down.
What a wonderful surprise this midtown, authentic Spanish restaurant was for my family and I. The waiter was FANTASTIC, knowledgeable about the food, wine choices and great suggestions for courses. All of the choices were family style and outstanding! One of our party was a vegetarian and she loved it equally as much! Would highly recommend!
LOVE this place! Keep going back... good food, excellent service, great atmosphere for couples or groups. In the heart of Midtown - don’t drive, take Uber or Lyft
Great food. Great service. First time eating here and plan to come back.
Excellent food and service! Lucy was a fabulous waitress!
Good choice of tapas. Service was great. Food came out very hot.
Andre, our server, was awesome, very personable and professional!
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back!
