Both the food and service were great! Highly recommend for a fun, casual night out!!
Food was great, but some of the tapas orders arrived after our main dishes. There *was* a private event being held upstairs at the time we dined, but the kitchen was ridiculously backed up. The server was equally overwhelmed. The restaurant should have been better staffed for a Saturday night.
The atmosphere was very good. The food was delicious. Octopus, Patatas Bravas and Shrimp were really delicious. I like the patio most.
Loved this place!! Lively atmosphere, great service and food. All the staff were courteous and friendly. The music was also good and the outdoor seating option is very nice. Will definitely go back.
Tje food was Amazing. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like..
I love Bulla but why are the Patatas Bravas so SPICY now? They were not that spicy before. Also, the Queso Fundido... that was just tomato sauce. I still love Bulla I am just sad that one of my two favorites tapas are not good anymore.
Nice ambiance. Well located in Midtown Atlanta. The food even there are a lot of traditional dishes from Spain, the flavor doesn’t taste like it. My best tapa was the one of Chorizo filled figs with bacon. Patatas bravas were too spicy for my taste.
We were visiting family in Atlanta and Bulla Gastrobar was recommended by friends. We were not disappointed. Menu had a nice variety of tapas to choose from and the food was delicious. Our waitress Diamond was extremely helpful with recommendations and was very attentive. We would definitely come back on return visits to Atlanta!
I got intoxicated with the food.............,.....,
Great place and food. A bit slow on the 3 course prix fixe menu, but overall excellent experience.
Te food was great, the service was attentive and efficient, and the atmosphere made it an enjoyable meal. I will definitely return to Bulla.
Nice ambiance/setting; I almost forgot we’re not in Spain! Great evening!!
Girls night with delicious food
The service was great that evening. We had a server named Kathryn and she could not have been better to deal with. She totally made out choices worth while and the total atmosphere was great. We sat in. the patio area and also meet some interesting people as we enjoyed the evening. We will definitely be back and will bring more friends to enjoy the evening.
Great tapas, very pleasant service from Andre. Will definitely return!
Everyone’s food was excellent. The lamb chops were especially amazing. However, we waited really long periods for drinks and food. I really wanted to like this place but the stalls in service made it really difficult. For me, waiting 30 minutes for a glass of wine is hard to excuse. And that happened twice.
Very poor service. Food took over an hour
We went for Happy Hour on a Friday (Bulla Hour), which was really cool. We sat at the bar. The drinks were very well made, and the tapas were scrumptious. It get’s super crowded, so a reservation is a good idea, if you are going to arrive after Happy Hour. They have a nice patio area. There was live music until about 7..great after work spot for drinks with the girls or date night.
Good food and service. Vibrant location in midtown.
Bulla is our favorite restaurant in Atlanta. We moved here in January, and have struggled to find a single restaurant that has great food, attentive service, few, if any children, no tvs, an upscale clientele and a reasonable price for the value. Bulla meets all of our needs to make us regulars! It is a struggle to branch out from our favorite dishes, but we've never been disappointed. The garlic shrimp, albondigas, fried artichokes, and paella are our favorites!
First visiting and we were pleasantly surprised, Adam, our server was attentive to our needs and helpful with our food selections. The tuna tartar was melt in your mouth delicious and the other tapas were also great! We look forward to our next visit.
Also conveniently located so that we can have lunch on Sunday before the concert at the ASO.
Almost like being in Barcelona! Delicious food. A Sunday night was quiet but nice
This was my second time Bulla Gastrobar. The food was wonderful , and our server Lex was very attentive. The only down side was that the tables are pretty close together, I felt a bit cramped. However , if you sit on the patio there is much more room. I would recommend Bulla to anyone looking for quality tapas!
Great atmosphere and tasty food. Convenient parking garage in same block.
Note that this review came after I gave a glowing rating two days before. We’ve been here so many times and had a great experience, including this past Thursday when we had a great meal with another couple. This evening, a Sunday before Memorial Day, something seemed different. We arrived early but got no attention at the bar after 30 min. There was clearly too many people dining for the staff to handle. We asked to be seated and the host, different than the hostess we checked in with, seemed confused. After waiting at our table outside for about 10 minutes with no one coming to serve us or any other table except for an older couple who was clearly agitated about not being served, we left for another place. It was clear that on this night that the staff wasn’t quite able to handle what came their way.
Farewell for a friend
Service was subpar. The restaurant wasn’t crowded but drinks took longer than expected (10+ mins), server said “bar is backed up” - heard him say that to another customer too. I paid my tab and still had to wait for the drink I hadn’t received. Another couple came in and had to wait on a bottle of champaign (not sure why that would take long) but after the same amount of wait time as everyone else, the bottle was given to the customers complementary by manager. Seemed unfair. Not sure it I will patron again.
We eat at Bulla every so often. The patio is our favorite.
Outstanding meal with my wife and our daughter. In no specific order... Ceviche, Kale salad with pear, albondigas, tuna tartar, garlic shrimp, chicken pintxos, gaspacho (needed a little more vinegar), a great priorat red, and a delicious cremosa de chocolate. Great alternative to Barcelona.
Good food , fun atmosphere. A little loud but service was wonderful
Diamond was our server. Gave amazing recs and service
Very good date spot! Wasn’t to crazy about the grilled chicken flat bread. Perfect size portions for two to share though.
Terrible service - overpriced food and poorly made cocktails. Cooks and soldiers is a million times better
Great tapas ! Everything we ate was delicious !
Food took a long time to come out but it was very delicious when it did. My service was great overall.
The food and atmosphere were good. The service was the poorest I’ve had in a long, long time. For example, our waiter checked on us only twice for the entire meal after taking our order. My water glass sat empty the entire meal. Our food arrived before our drinks even did (and we ordered those ahead of the meal). I literally had to get up and find our waiter just to close the tab after waiting around for over fifteen minutes after we were done eating for him to return.
2/3 meals very good. One (Huevos Rancheros) the egg white wasn’t cooked. Sent it back, making clear what the issue was and that runny yolk was what we wanted, and got back eggs that were then overdone / hard yolk.
3rd time they were perfectly cooked, and the manager handled it extremely well and ensured we were happy with the result.
A little frustrating, but overall an enjoyable experience, and we will go back because they recovered well.
We have enjoyed mother's Day brunch at Bulla the last two years. Their menu is great because it allows my husband and I to enjoy some really unique and delicious plates but they also have good basic items for the kids. The restaurant is a great location for spending the afternoon in Midtown as well. They will validate parking for the garage next door. I very much enjoy this restaurant and look forward to going back.
Great patio and very good service. White sangria and gazpacho are excellent. The rest of the menu, and I’ve sampled almost every tapas and pintxo, is very unremarkable. Been there many times b/c location is great and it’s very nice to sit on the patio for drinks. Food really needs an upgrade.
