Went for local restaurant week. Great decor, atmosphere and comfort befitting an upscale steakhouse. Food was delicious. My short ribs were tender and flavorful. My wife's filet was undercooked but corrected quickly by our waiter to her satisfaction. Potatoes were whipped, not mashed as stated on the menu- a small disappointment as we prefer mashed, but they were good anyway. Prices were OK for the promotion, but the standard menu was too pricey, so we probably would only return if there was another promotion.
Food and wine was exceptional, but waiter didn't allow us to take advantage of the birthday deal because it was restaurant week even though we didn't order of that menu.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were greeted by friendly staff and as we left we were thanked for dining there. The bartender, Micki, was knowledgeable and social and when asked, she explained the original use of this gorgeous building. The whole dining experience was beyond our expectations. We dined during Restaurant Week and the short rib special was superb and a great value! Both appetizers and entree were delicious (putting it mildly) and our wait staff was friendly and professional. A special thank you to Micki, James and Luke!
We had a fine time here for restaurant week. The oysters were fresh and delicious and the filets were tremendous. We'll be back soon!
The food was excellent. I had the king cut prime rib and took half of it home. My wife had sea scallops and filet mignon and was very impressed. The wait staff was very attentive and the manager stopped by a couple of times to ask us how our meal was. Overall a very enjoyable experience
All was excellent!!
Thank you for a fabulous birthday dinner experience! The steak melted in my mouth... The drinks were perfect.. And service was amazing! I will be back for sure!
Excellent birthday dinner on a wintery April night
We have eaten in steakhouses throughout the country and the world, this one is tops !
The atmosphere is very unique and high class. Our waiter was very professional and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this for a special occasion.
Went for dinner with a date who was celebrating his birthday. The steak was absolutely amazing...melted in your mouth. I was a little surprised how much noise comes up from the bar area...but, other than that, no complaints here :)
Phenomenal. The service and atmosphere were above my expectations. The food was served in large family portions not taking away from the taste/flavor of the dish.
Have eaten at the Buffalo Chop House many times and have always enjoyed it. Don't let the prices scare you, if you enjoy everything (and my wife and I always do) then you won't fixate on the bill but remember the experience.
As always, our visit more than met our expectations from the moment I pulled my car up to the valet parking attendant. My steak was done exactly as requested and the remainder of our meal was absolutely delicious. My wife and I both enjoyed the side of grilled asparagus. The service was typically attentive and since we dined fairly early on a Monday night, the downstairs was reasonably quiet and afforded an opportunity for pleasant conversation. Since we were celebrating my birthday, the special free dinner entree made the evening even more special.
Food was out of this world ..pricy though. if your birthday is within the time limit you get 50$ off the bill.. no privacy is you sit at a table for 2...you are right on top of the next table so that is odd. The bartender was in a bad mood and was yelling at the servers..I dont think the customers should hear that.
This was my 3rd visit to the Chophouse. 2nd time with Janos as our waiter. He is an excellent waiter and entertainer. The food is always a treat to the taste buds. Meats cooked to perfection, sides of delicious combinations and the vegetables never overcooked. Starters always tempt your hunger with yellow fin tuna to candied slab bacon to stuffed banana peppers. Appetizers and sides are plentiful for sharing. Ending on a sweet note, desserts you can't say no to. Rich, fresh and creamy. Something for everyone and again, plenty to share. The Buffalo Chop House is definitely one of my top dining choices. I only wish it was closer to me (I live 90 miles away) that I could enjoy it more often.
The steak and lobster was excellent
The tables are too close, it was hard not to hear the other tables conversation and I am sure they heard ours. It has been awhile since we visited the Buffalo Chop House and it will be awhile before we return. It did not feel we were special just a number.
The food was outstanding as was the service. Both steaks were cooked to perfection with great taste and texture. The service was very professional and nearly flawless. I will definitely return!
The food was over the top delicious. I had the 8 oz filet and it was cooked to perfection. It was the third time I've had it and it was perfect every time.
Food and service excellent
The dinner and service was amazing! The Buffalo Chophouse helped to make my birthday celebration complete. I received $50 off my meal because it was my birthday and then at the end of our meal we both received a $40 certificate to use the next time we come. The valet, bartender, server, and manager made it all so special. Thank you to everyone that was working April 3, 2018!
Yon (John pronounced with a Y) was by far, the best waiter I’ve ever had at a restaurant. He was personable, funny and extremely attentive. The food was out of this world. It may be pricey, but so worth the experience. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks!
Always have a blast here! Rick was fantastic!!! Reuben too!!! Thanks so much for a great birthday!! See you soon! Highest possible recommendation!!!!!
Celebrated recent promotion with a great steak and a bottle of wine!!!
Celebrated the girlfriend's birthday at the chophouse tonight. She had never been there. The service, food and atmosphere was perfect. She really enjoyed her first time.
Service and food was outstanding!!
Exceptional steak, banana peppers, creamed corn, and wine selection.
Overall a very good experience. I find the banquet room on the second floor To be a very different experience than the main dining room which caused me to give it a slightly lower rating. The ambience is totally different in that area.
Delicious meal as usual. Excellent service! Only downfall was our seats... We were put in a shared booth style seating, so not as romantic as we would have liked.
Compliments to the valet service men, OUTSTANDING!!!!
Our server was really nice and the food was incredible! We hadn't visited in several years and went to celebrate my birthday. Thank you for an enjoyable evening!
We had a great experience all together. We had our 6 mnth old niece and they had no problem which we experience alot at other places. Definitely will be back and highly recommend.
Right from entering the staff was attentive.
We were early but happily led to our table.
The menu was excellent the food even better!
Steak cooked as ordered and the lobster tail sweet to the taste.
Our waiter Anoush (spelling?) was that professional blend of knowing when not to interrupt but able to keep our wine classes full. A true talent. His service was fantastic. Ask for him!
We are going back. This is a fine restaurant that you should experience!
Birthday dinner. Great steaks and service. Will definitely be back
Great meal! Celebrated birthday with the porterhouse steak for two and topped off with huge piece of chocolate cake!
Amazing from beginning to end. Thank you for making my birthday worth while and special.
We came here for my birthday dinner and the food was not good! My wife ordered fish, which was undercooked. We ordered the Mac and cheese as a side and the cheese was not even melted. We paid over $200 for a horrible meal. Will not be coming back.
Great food, exceptional service, best steak in the area as usual.
The service was good, very nice gentleman taking care of us. We were seated downstairs and every time the door opened a very large gust of frigid Buffalo winter air came in. I spoke with the manager, who was quite rude, regarding a simple and cost effective way to help decrease that problem. She disregarded my suggestion ever so curtly, and said, “We are a corporation, what more do you want me to do?” My suggestion was a heavy drape at the entrance way. Now if anyone has been to any number of restaurants in NYC, you will know how effective they can be.
