   Birthday dinner for mother in law, 5 diners. I would definitely NOT recommend wasting your money here. The food: Good rolls. French Onion Soup (had by 3 of us) came in a cute, but very little container. The soup had ONE crouton and the cheese only was on top of that, did not cover the surface of the soup. The onions were not caramelized, and undercooked, the broth was "twangy". The french fries were awful (not sure how you can screw up a potato). They had truffle, garlic, and something else, but no one ate them. The twice baked potato was as dry as the desert. It was crumbly dry. The asparagus was over cooked on the grill, dry, and had no sauce to moisten - did not finish a single order at the table. The hamburgers (two ordered) had too much going on. Neither would finish. The filet was good. The Cowboy Ribeye was split for two diners, and was good. When tried to order a $60 glass of wine, the waiter returned and said the menu was an old one and the new price for one glass was now $88. Challenged this, manager came to the table and confirmed- would not honor the menu price. I felt this was to be a special dinner and all participants left with negative experience. I would never return and do not recommend this restaurant at all.

   We celebrated our 39th anniversary at the Buffalo Block where, as the REX, we had our first date 40 years ago. We found the service to be fantastic, the facilities, very nice, and the food was excellent.

   Streaks we had there a year ago set the standard for great steaks, and going there again this year while in town, it was even more delicious than we remembered. Pricey, but worth it.

    The service was amazing, food was even better. We sat near the kitchen and it was awesome seeing the GM and Head Chef work their magic, and they also were very kind to their employees which was great to see. Place is not cheap, but if you can go here the food is second to none in Billings.

    Great food and the service was perfect. We had Kate as our server and she was very informative and made a great salad table side, her service made the experience even better. The Old Fashions from the bar were some of the best I have had and I would recommend Buffalo Block for either dinner or even just drinks. Great place to go to with friends or even just for date night.

    FANTASTIC food and an amazing waiter, Khyrene (please forgive me; I'm sure I misspelled the name). We shared a juicy bison steak, wonderfully balanced garlic mashed potatoes, and tasty cheesy rolls and topped it off with a delightful chocolate cheesecake. Buffalo Prime Steakhouse is the reason to go to Billings :)

    Overall I like Buffalo Block. The ambiance and service is some of the best in town. The drinks are great, wine selection good, and this time I had the short rib which was excellent. The steaks, however are still largely overpriced for flavor. Good, just not that level of good to reflect the cost.

    Service was excellent. We loved the mussel's appetizer and cocktails, but were underwhelmed with the steak, and lobster mac side, especially given the cost. I've had better for less money. Not a fan of the twice baked potato either. Probably will not be back unless it's just for cocktails and appetizers.

    I’ve been here several times and have found that the quality of food and service is inconsistent. Considering the price point, one would expect superior quality and service all the time. If I return, it’ll likely be for cocktails and appetizers only.

    The atmosphere was great. Bartenders were friendly and interactive before being seated. Waitress was very knowledgeable. We ate a very delicious meal and made wonderful memories with family or my son's birthday.

    Excellent food and drinks! Great service! Very upscale, yet unpretentious. Live music was very enjoyable. It is a bit on the dark side, but was no problem because our server brought a table lamp for us to use.

    We made reservations (recommended) for a party of five. We were visiting the Billings, MT area for a Christmas Eve lunch and lucked up on this little gem located in the downtown area. We started with a bottle of red wine from Napa from their cellar and also a charcuterie board with array of cheeses, meats, almonds, olives and a delicious pear chutney. I would like to first give our server rave reviews for her knowledge of wine and service. I will be rating our lunch entrees based on a 1-5 rating based on our experiences. The Prime Rib was we would give a 5/5, it was served on a Asiago-type roll that was plentiful with prime rib served with yummy truffle fries with side horseradish and au jus. The Lobster Roll I would consider it a small portion for its cost, but the bread was flavorful. The lunch Pork Chop 4/5 was well-presented with garlic mash potatoes, however it was ordered medium and it was served medium rare. The thing we most looked forward to was the most disappointing, The Lobster Mac ‘n cheese with Cavatappi noodle 2/5, it was so underwhelming with taste, as well as lobster which was nonexistent, the only one thing that saved it from a 0/5 was the truffle fries that accompanied it. We ended with three different desserts, the crème brûlée 2/5 too much sugar versus egg with not a hint of vanilla bean. The Apple Carmel Bread Pudding 4/5 only wish was it Carmel came warmer on the bread pudding at last but definitely not least was the Chocolate Cheesecake that is definitely for the chocolate lover, did I mention chocolate lover? If that is you, 5/5. Bon Appetit 😋
