One of the best Churrascos I have ever tried and the fried yuca was also amazing. Will definitely return with my wife.

If you are looking a slightly upscale Latin American cuisine that has a touch of old Spanish tapas vibe, then I highly recommend Buenavista. Their special grilled octopus appetizer was something to savor over and you can't go wrong with any of their main dishes be a seafood plate or steak frites. I still have yet to try their Spanish paellas.

Everything was great. The bathroom’s needed some TLC. New mop or something for cleaning. Bathroom was the only downside.

Waiter was hilarious and awesome. Never got his name.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Had the octopus special, the potatoes stuffed with oxtail, the sea bass and the churros for dessert. Loved all of it! There are so many restaurants in New York City that have good, but not memorable food. This place is a gem and we’ll definitely be back soon.

Love this place. The perfect neighborhood spot. The shrimp appetizer is great and so is the seared ahi tuna. Also had the charrasco steak and it was excellent.

Outstanding meal! The food was phenomenal. I had the Chilean seabass, and my son had the skirt steak with chimichurri. Both delicious!

This is a nicely decorated with exposed brick wall small restaurant near the Port Authority. Although the place is small it was easy to have a quiet conversation without people over hearing it. We had the fish and the chicken breast stuffed with shrimp and for an appetizer we had the octopus Which was perfectly cooked.All of the dishes were delicious and their presentation and plating of the dishes was quite elegant.They have a nice selection of cocktails. Only downside was when I returned a wine that was too warm or tasted off, the waiter almost seem bothered by my request and he was just a bit too casual with the service. Other than that I would certainly recommend this place if you are in the area of Port Authority and need a nice place to wait for a bus or to chill out.

What a wonderful meal we had. The service was excellent. The waiter and staff were informative, enthusiastic and funny. The food was perfect. We all enjoyed it very much. Thank you to everyone there.

Food and drinks were unique and very tasty. Service was great. Only wish there were vegetarian options on the menu and that the front space had more heat or that the doors were kept closed more often because it was very cold.

This was a wonderful surprise! They easily accommodated our larger party, our waiter was FANTASTIC, and the food was fabulous!

Absolutely! Food is fabulous and you wouldn't believe the presentation. Such a little place with such amazing food, kudos to the chef. A must try their octopus. I have never had it so soft.

We have been here several times prior to heading to a show. The food is always good and the service is attentive without being overbearing.

Buenavista Restaurant has a very nice and balanced menu. All served dishes tasted great. They may do however improve their service, as during our visit we had to refill wine ourselves.

Small and intimate place. Can be a bit noisy, but we had no trouble having an extended business conversation.
Limited but VERY interesting menu. Great food served with very appropriate and attentive service; and they readily accommodated my special dietary needs. I would love to try more of their menu offerings, but my travels rarely take me anywhere near the neighborhood.

Amazing meal. Had ossobuco that was great. Octopus was fantastic, Lobster soup delicious, and clam appetizer that was out of this world. Highly recommended

My (adult) godson & I came here for lunch, based on its well-deserved, high customer ratings (and proximity to Penn Station). They have an excellent, unique menu. We enjoyed the tuna plate & the chicken plate which were seasoned, prepared & cooked perfectly & quickly! The staff were all warm & attentive. We’ll definitely dine here again. Highly recommend!

The food is excellent and the service very good, but the place is crowded. Nonetheless, it is definitely a worthwhile dining experience. Highly recommended.

The food is delicious, with surprising combinations of flavors and cuisines. It’s also affordable, as is the wine. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Be sure to make a reservation.

Food was great and service was too. Food was fresh and creative. I tried two apps (guacamole and empanadas) which were both very good. The calamari ink pasta with shrimp and scallops was terrific and the portion was a good size. Definitely would recommend.

Excellent food, well prepared. Tasty craft cocktails, wine list is a bit limited, not many choices within the price range but interesting wines from less known countries. Friendly staff and attentive service. Fair prices and a good value for high quality eats. A small, intimate gem. Highly recommended.

Food and service are consistently good.
It was a little too noisy last week, the people at the table next to our table were VERY loud. That is not usually the case at Buenavista.
I look forward to returning.

It was a little odd to be seated right into the kitchen but the food was delicious...

Enjoyed the food but our party of 6 were charged a 25% gratuity. My friend paid and only told us the next day. Had I known while at the restaurant, I would have questioned the gratuity. What happened to 15%? 25% is ridiculous. Would not go back for that reason.
