We started with the Seafood Bisque which was excellent! My wife had Shrimp & Grits while I chose the Taste of New Orleans with blackened catfish. Both dishes were spot-on for south Louisiana - just the right amount of "heat" and seasoned perfectly (we lived in south Louisiana for three years). We finished with the Lemon Cheesecake which was wonderful. We highly recommend Bud & Rob's!

Food was mediocre at best. Service was terrible. We were a table of six, with only eight other patrons in the restaurant. Once the food finally came out, our server only checked on us once shortly after the food was delivered. We even had to ask multiple times for our water to be refilled. Definitely not worth the price or time to eat there.

Great food. Great atmosphere and a great vibe. I ordered the red beans and rice with Andouille sausage and alligator. My only knock is that my sausages seemed to be undercooked and chewy. Otherwise I love the food. Please note that it is a bit pricey but for an establishment of its size, it’s not a bank breaker. Will be back!

If you’re looking for authentic Cajun/Creole food in San Diego, Bud & Rob’s is definitely the place to go. Between March-May, you can grab a plate of their fresh boiled Louisiana crawfish flown in LIVE weekly! It’s absolutely fresh and delicious!

Really good food and the wait staff was excellent - it is a smaller place, only about 10 tables so plan ahead with reservations. Very authentic Cajun cuisine - we will go there again !

We've eaten here perhaps a half dozen times and we try to order at least one new item each time. To date, every single entree and appetizer have been between very good to excellent. I'm reluctant to say how good this place is for fear it might become too congested to easily get a table in the future. If you're looking for a Cajun style meal at an excellent price, look no further than Bud & Rob's Bistro.

Bud & Rob's is a neighborhood restaurant for us. We enjoy the restaurant especially there food. The staff are all very friendly and nice. If you like Cajun food, try Bud and Rob's.

Hands down, the best Louisiana style style food in San Diego. I had the pasta jambalaya and my wife had the shrimp and grits. Both were excellent. Our server was incredibly nice. Overall great experience.

From the caesar salad to the bread pudding, it’s all amazing. Everything is perfectly thought out. Full flavors, great portions, excellent service. We had the Jambalaya and Mardi Gras, both were absolutely incredible. Don’t be afraid to try anything on the menu, nothing disappoints. Can’t wait to be back.

Outside of New Orleans, it is difficult to match, much less beat the quality of this food. If you've ever spent any time in NOLA, you'll quickly recognize and appreciate their personable and excellent service. There's always time for a little chit-chat along the way. The restaurant itself is by no means fancy, but that is part of what makes it homey and comfortable.
