    I had been to Bucks Bar before (the one on W Regent St) and really enjoyed it, however this last time wasn't great. The staff individually were good, but the overall service was very poor. We had a group of 9 of us, needing us to be split across two booths (the girl on the phone was very accomodating on this), but the second table was still occupied for 20 mins beyond our booking time. This left several people standing at the bar waiting to be seated for quite a while. Food was good, but it was served two dishes at a time with a long wait (15-20 mins) in between, instead of served all at once. This might have been down to the kitchen thinking that both tables were separate from each other, but it did make for an awkward meal. For a time the restaurant was fairly empty, and a couple of the guests were especially frustrated at seeing so many UberEats meals coming out of the kitchen while they were waiting and the others were already served. The decor inside was cool, but does contain a fair amount of profanity. No problem with it ordinarily, but I hadn't realised the Trongate restaurant was like this, and we had a good number of children in our group. It was a poor choice where that's concerned. Overall, although the chicken is great, I really wished we booked somewhere else.

You are correct that the kitchen would have treated your order as two separate tables but we sincerely apologise that there was such a wait between each table receiving their food.     As always, the food was amazing, and the service was fast, efficient, and so friendly. You can never go wrong with Bucks bar, but you do have to book well in advance for the weekend.

    had a great night our server was lovely sorry can’t remember your name she was small short black curly hair and glasses im sure she had an irish accent she was really nice and helpful and plenty of patience each time we were indecisive 😊

    Highly recommend. Service was first class - extremely helpful and polite. Massive helpings. Alcohol was really competitively priced. You will not be disappointed, if you can't finish your meal , a doggy bag is provided.
