Buck's American Cafe

I wasn't as thrilled with the food as I was the first time we went there, about a year ago. Our waitress was friendly but not as knowledgeable about the menu and specials as I would have liked. Cool old building but the ladies restroom could use some spiffing up and the big fish in the dining room obviously hadn't been dusted for a while.

Osso bucco is fabulous!

Best ambiance, service and food for a nice relaxing Sunday breakfast. Great place to go for any occasion or no occasion at all!

Great place. The servers are very nice. Food was excellent. I've never had a bad experience. And, they never complain, when I add ketchup on my Ribeye.

Buck’s is the perfect get together place! It’s got a warm, cozy, classy atmosphere and staff are always friendly. I love how they don’t hover but make sure all your needs are met. I never feel rushed. Best of all, they make a great martini!!!!

Buck's is one of those places we keep returning to and are never disappointed.
Unlike so many establishments these days they have avoided the trend of destroying the charm and ambience. Plenty of rich grained wood, exposed brick walls and traditional warmth. NOT the boring black and gray interiors with black vinyl chrome plated furniture that seem to be in vogue.
Good menu choices, well prepared, delivered by cheerful, knowledgeable servers.
Good craft beer selection.

After dining at Bucks I truly understand why it has been so challenging to secure a reservation! The food was wonderful and the service spot on. We can’t wait until our next opportunity to spend an evening there. A special thanks to Jasper for taking such good care of us!

Great homey food. I love the fish tacos and hot seafood salad and my husband went crazy over the ribs. Wines are very good and service is friendly and attentive.

We received very friendly service. The salmon was delicious & my husband really enjoyed his hot seafood salad. We return to Bucks especially when we have out of town guests to show them an excellent local restaurant.

The online menu they have is a fake, the menu inside the restaurant is different then the online menu. I wanted the blue plate special (pot roast) on Friday night.

I ask the waiter who has only worked there for 2 days and he did not even know there was a online menu. The baked potato with chives, butter and bacon I order had all the ingredients in separate this plastic cups with a unseasoned empty baked potato waiting to "do it myself".

The raspberry lemonades we ordered did not taste that good and I had to order flank steak instead because they had no pot roast. I though the flank steak was OK but my mom who is a master of making flank steak at home can make a better flank steak then them for less then the 82 dollars it cost us for 2 people.

Discovering that what a restaurant menu has to order is completely different from what you though they had is a major turn off for me so my mom and I have no plans to go ever go back there!

Loved this place even though it's not downtown! Took us a while to walk there from where we stayed. Safe and good for us, though. Lovely staff, very nice menu. Baby back ribs were great; steak salad very good too. The veggie=pasta entree was a hit with our guest. Nice wine list of many glasses as well as bottles. We will absolutely go back. A special place.

Our waiter was excellent & most of the food was, as well. The only criticism is that our halibut was a bit over-cooked. It was dry & the lemon herb butter ran right off into the rice below, not moistening or flavoring the fish.

The wait staff was great! We initially got seated next to a family that was loud and obnoxious. One of the family members was sitting at his table right next to us talking very loudly and aggressively on his cell phone. Then at one point he put his cell phone on speaker while he was waiting for someone to answer. They were also repeatedly arguing over who had the baby's pacifier. When I asked our waitress if we could be moved there was no hesitation or questions asked. We were moved to a better seat and our service continued seamlessly. Thank you!!!!

We discovered Buck's when we couldn't get into another restaurant and decided to stop in since we pass it all the time. It has become one of our favorite restaurants. Great food, friendly staff and great food. We've never been disappointed.

Food was great, servers were cheerful and I loved all the wood and lively conversation.

Ordered the Reuben sandwich, it was terrible. Corn beef dry, couldn't taste any cheese and not very much sauerkraut.

We love Bucks, usually head over for brunch after Church and thought it would be a good place to bring the family for Mothers Day. Everyone enjoyed their time, the staff was attentive and the food was phenomenal (as usual). This may very well be the family's new regular spot.
