Buck's American Cafe
Buck's American Cafe strives to serve good food in a comfortable setting. Established in 1986 in the Swalwell historic building in Riverside Square, the decor combines the building's 19th-century bank and later rumored speakeasy past, renovated with a touch of the future. Diners at Buck's American Cafe can enjoy appetizers like the baked brie of steamed Manila clams, or jump right to their meals for roast duck or pork osso bucco.
Buck's American Cafe also offers a small plates menu with choices such as baked eggplant and fish tacos. There is also a Friday and Saturday night menu that includes prime rib and the crab cakes appetizer. Vegans can even join in the fun with a black bean burger, making sure there is an option for everyone in the group.
We celebrated my birthday at Bucks. Food was good. service was excellent.
Went for lunch on me and my wives 2nd anniversary this past Monday. Good food, better service.
Service was excellent
Wonderful place for dinner. Our reserved table was ready to go when we arrived and the service and food was top notch.
Our waitress, Stacy was nonexistent. Waited a long time to order and a long time to pay our bill. Very disappointing dinning experience.
Great spot! Solid food. Great service. Good location.
I met friends for brunch. The place has a very nice atmosphere and Jake, our server, was very attentive. I ordered the salmon cakes and eggs. Delicious!
I recommend Buck’s as a place where food, conversation and good times belong together.
Always great food and service! We will definitely come back again when we are in the area.
Love coming to Buck’s. The food is always so fresh and tasty. Perfect for any occasion.
Buck's is one of those places we keep returning to and are never disappointed.
Unlike so many establishments these days they have avoided the trend of destroying the charm and ambience. Plenty of rich grained wood, exposed brick walls and traditional warmth. NOT the boring black and gray interiors with black vinyl chrome plated furniture that seem to be in vogue.
Good menu choices, well prepared, delivered by cheerful, knowledgeable servers.
Good craft beer selection.
After dining at Bucks I truly understand why it has been so challenging to secure a reservation! The food was wonderful and the service spot on. We can’t wait until our next opportunity to spend an evening there. A special thanks to Jasper for taking such good care of us!
Great food, service, atmosphere. Would return in a heartbeat.
Great food, friendly staff. Easy to get to. Eat there often.
Great homey food. I love the fish tacos and hot seafood salad and my husband went crazy over the ribs. Wines are very good and service is friendly and attentive.
We received very friendly service. The salmon was delicious & my husband really enjoyed his hot seafood salad. We return to Bucks especially when we have out of town guests to show them an excellent local restaurant.
The online menu they have is a fake, the menu inside the restaurant is different then the online menu. I wanted the blue plate special (pot roast) on Friday night.
I ask the waiter who has only worked there for 2 days and he did not even know there was a online menu. The baked potato with chives, butter and bacon I order had all the ingredients in separate this plastic cups with a unseasoned empty baked potato waiting to "do it myself".
The raspberry lemonades we ordered did not taste that good and I had to order flank steak instead because they had no pot roast. I though the flank steak was OK but my mom who is a master of making flank steak at home can make a better flank steak then them for less then the 82 dollars it cost us for 2 people.
Discovering that what a restaurant menu has to order is completely different from what you though they had is a major turn off for me so my mom and I have no plans to go ever go back there!
Loved this place even though it's not downtown! Took us a while to walk there from where we stayed. Safe and good for us, though. Lovely staff, very nice menu. Baby back ribs were great; steak salad very good too. The veggie=pasta entree was a hit with our guest. Nice wine list of many glasses as well as bottles. We will absolutely go back. A special place.
Our waiter was excellent & most of the food was, as well. The only criticism is that our halibut was a bit over-cooked. It was dry & the lemon herb butter ran right off into the rice below, not moistening or flavoring the fish.
The wait staff was great! We initially got seated next to a family that was loud and obnoxious. One of the family members was sitting at his table right next to us talking very loudly and aggressively on his cell phone. Then at one point he put his cell phone on speaker while he was waiting for someone to answer. They were also repeatedly arguing over who had the baby's pacifier. When I asked our waitress if we could be moved there was no hesitation or questions asked. We were moved to a better seat and our service continued seamlessly. Thank you!!!!
We discovered Buck's when we couldn't get into another restaurant and decided to stop in since we pass it all the time. It has become one of our favorite restaurants. Great food, friendly staff and great food. We've never been disappointed.
Food was great, servers were cheerful and I loved all the wood and lively conversation.
Perfect pre-Storm game meal!
Wonderful Service and food! Our second time to go to Bucks and it’s on our list of favorite area restaurants!
Our food was great - wait staff was very friendly. We will return for sure.
Great food! Great time! We loved the atmosphere and salmon and steak was incredible!
Ordered the Reuben sandwich, it was terrible. Corn beef dry, couldn't taste any cheese and not very much sauerkraut.
We love Bucks, usually head over for brunch after Church and thought it would be a good place to bring the family for Mothers Day. Everyone enjoyed their time, the staff was attentive and the food was phenomenal (as usual). This may very well be the family's new regular spot.
Excellent food & Service as usual😀
The attention to every detail at Buck’s is what makes it a perfect spot for a night out or an anniversary dinner. Thanks for making it a special night.
Great meal and service
A Happy - Happy Hour in downtown Everett. My wife and I tried to find a half-way place to meat/eat with friends from Stanwood area and a relative recommended Buck's...so off we went, catching the tail end of the happy hour at this corner restaurant. Neat old bank building, table for 4 in back of room, on elevated area. Very fairly priced food and beverage, quick, friendly service, easy street parking (free). The pea/ham soup was outstanding...over-all very good. I'd stay outstanding for all categories but that review level is for a place that takes your breath away. A solid, well-run tavern/restaurant. Will return and highly recommend.
My friends always enjoy the food at Buck's but the Easter brunch was disappointing. The crab cakes eggs Benedict were wet (I think from the tomato slice) and the crab was not fresh and a very grey color. Wasn't very tasty, either. My friend enjoyed her corned beef hash, and my husband found the American breakfast just OK. I think we'll stick to Buck's for lunch from now on.
Third time going. First time reservation. Very easy online to do! The food is excellent, as always. So good. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely will return.
We experienced the brunch menu for the first time and it was terrific ! This place is a gem! I always have great meals here.
Enjoyed dinner at Buck's--EXCEPT that two of our party ordered duck which no one told us took 45 minutes to cook, nor was it stated on the menu. We had a deadline, so by the time the food came, we had to wolf it down. And then they forgot 1 meal entirely--chicken parm--so that came even later. The food was really quite good and the service was fine--except for not getting food!
Nice hidden in plain sight surprise. Will return again.
Great place to bring friends or host a special event.
This was our second time going to BUCKS. We had made reservations and were immediately seated on our arrival. My niece and her husband ordered Stuffed Mushrooms for an appetizer. They arrived in a timely manner. My wife and I did not try the appetizer since breaded, but it looked great. My niece said they were delicious. My wife and I had been doing the KETO diet and they had numerous KETO friendly dishes. The waitress had offered to alter any dishes. We decided on the Seafood Salad. My niece and her husband decided on the Prime Rib and the Halibut on zucchini noodles. All meals arrived at the same time and were all hot and cooked to order. Steak came as ordered Medium Rare. Our clams and shrimp on our salads were perfect, not overcooked or rubbery. Table was cleared without interrupting our conversation. We did not feel rushed to leave do to the increase in door traffic on a Friday night. It was a great night out at BUCKS. 5 STARS!
Relatively quiet so good for having a conversation. Excellent service, prompt and not interruptive of conversation. Food was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. I had pear salad and scallop/prawn skewer which was tasty and my friend had fish tacos which she enjoyed. We went before a play and were able to be seated, order and eat and arrive just in time.
Buck's American Cafe is our favorite place to celebrate any occasion. As a recent 'refugee' from Northern California to the Great Northwest, I am delighted to find a place that I can feel at home in and have a really good meal. My favorite eatery was Buckhorn Steakhouse in Winters CA, I found Buck's American Cafe in Everett WA To be even better! My significant other and I will continue to make Buck's a favorite place to celebrate any special occasions and more!
We had the artichoke dip, seafood salad, rib eye steak, and pork shrank. Overall the food were all well prepared to the right perfection. I would definitely visit again -the service was prompt and the waitress was upbeat and happy! I enjoy my first visit to Buck’s American Cafe!
