Buck's American Cafe
Buck's American Cafe strives to serve good food in a comfortable setting. Established in 1986 in the Swalwell historic building in Riverside Square, the decor combines the building's 19th-century bank and later rumored speakeasy past, renovated with a touch of the future. Diners at Buck's American Cafe can enjoy appetizers like the baked brie of steamed Manila clams, or jump right to their meals for roast duck or pork osso bucco.
Buck's American Cafe also offers a small plates menu with choices such as baked eggplant and fish tacos. There is also a Friday and Saturday night menu that includes prime rib and the crab cakes appetizer. Vegans can even join in the fun with a black bean burger, making sure there is an option for everyone in the group.

Outstanding! I think I've found a new favorite restaurant in Everett. Definitely going back soon.
I've been to Buck's several times. The service has always been great. The food has never disappointed. This trip I was meeting a friend for lunch. We both ordered the steak salad. It was fantastic and a really good sized portion. We will do this again, soon and often.
Our waiter Jake was exceptional responding to our requests w speed and positivity. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and even exchanged a poor drink choice without charge. This was a business meal and Jake followed my billing instructions perfectly. Truly an exceptional experience.
My daughter performs in her dance studios production of The Nutcracker that is held at the PUD building. The last two years my daughter and I have made Bucks our special dinner we have in between shows. Food is always great and service is wonderful.
Great meal. The tilapia was moist, the spinach salad was fresh and the artichoke dip was excellent. Nice servers.
We went to Buck's for our anniversary. It was very nice that they reserved a special table for us for our celebration. We appreciated that. We were very happy that they had one of our favorite wines too - Meiomi pinot noir. My wife ordered the 5 oz top sirloin and I ordered the flank steak. We both had baked potatoes with the works. The top sirloin had a fair amount of fat which is unusual for the cut plus my wife said it didn't have much flavor. I had the flank steak which tasted delicious. Both baked potatoes were a very good size. We will go back but my wife will try something else next time. We enjoyed our time there and the service was exceptional. Any restaurant can have less than optimal meal so we are willing to try them again.
My wife's birthday and I noted a birthday occasion. Had reservation, seated in back room. In corner next to a large party of 7. Heard every voice from the large party. No ambience at all. Service was fine. Prime rib has an au juice flavor that is on it...terrible. Tough also..med. 8 Oz $25. Pricey. Will not be back...prime rib is bad and very noisy place for an intimate dinner.
Food was great. Service was friendly and attentive. Had a great time. would recommend and come again.
We had Chicken Parmigiana. It was the best have ever had.
A go-to place for great food and great service. I love spending time with friends over a great meal and catching up on our lives. This place has been in the area for multiple years and it always feels like home.
This was our second time here and it was once again an outstanding experience. We dine out frequently and all too often we are disappointed in the food or service, and sometimes both. Bucks may become our lone choice of restaurants if they continue to amaze us with great food and stellar service!
Oh my goodness ... if you go for nothing else but the Peanut Butter Pie it would be worth the trip.
Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie Peanut Butter Pie
And I would also mention that their calamari steak is the best I've ever eaten.
The slow cooked pot roast (Friday special) was also excellent - - so tender it fell apart.
Buck’s has really improved the quality of their food since the last time we visited. Our server Liz was wonderful. Will definitely be back.
The wedge salad and oso buco ruled! The chicken parm was huge and tasted great. The delux hamburger was good and the fries were the best I've had.
Great waiter, and good food! The food was very good, prices were comparable to other restaurants. Staff is very friendly. Will definitely make this a regular dinner choice.
We were so pleased with our overall experience that I asked to speak with the manager to share our thoughts and feelings. Our server Terrese took excellent care of my wife and I. We look forward to returning soon!
Always a great meal at Bucks! Staff was a bit shorthanded but the bartender stepped in never missing a beat w our drinks
The food is delicious, excellent quality, quantity and taste. Staff, wait people, superb! Stacy our waitress was awesome! Thank you Stacy! Our one and only complaint: even though the entertainment was good it was too loud for us. We were there for a good meal and conversation. Once the music started conversation abruptly ended.
However... we will definitely be back!!
My husband says they have the best fish and chips ever. Super friendly staff!
My two complaints: very loud ( I have hearing aids and struggled to hear my family over all the noise) and blinding light coming in on West side of restaurant.
The staff closed the door for me (thanks!) but someone reopened the door after only a few minutes. I'm sure that door brought in much needed ventilation.
We will definitely be back
Went with friends for the first time and we were all very impressed with how delicious the food was! We will definitely come again!!
Great food. Server Jake did an amazing job with explaining the menu and helping a customer who left their card behind.
When I made the reservation I requested seats near the entertainment if possible. They gave us the best seat in the house! Had a nice dinner with great entertainment at a reasonable cost. We have dined a Buck's twice now and both times have been excellent.
We have been coming to Buck's for many years for the great steaks and Half Priced Wine Night on Mondays!
Fun place to go. Great food. Great service. From Levis and T shirt to Coat and tie.
We had fish tacos, fish and chips, the burger and a piece of peanut butter pie. All were off the chart good.
Will definitely be back when traveling to Bellingham.
Been to Bucks many times, this round the service was terrible. We started out with one waiter (female) and then it got switched to a male. Both servers were terrible. Didn't expect this at all from Bucks as my last experiences have been top notch.
We always enjoy our dinners at Buck's. We make it our reward each time we accumulate 100 miles of jogging so it also works as an incentive for our jogging.
We love the food and the old style ambience...exposed brick walls, lots of wood etc. Much nicer than the Chrome, black Vinyl, concrete and steel that seems so popular now.
I would have given a higher rating for ambience had we not been seated in the back room which feels like an overflow annex. We prefer to be seated in the main restaurant/bar area.
This is my Downtown Everett Go-To place for lunch. I've had dinner there a few times too. The food is always phenominal! I've recommended Buck's to many friends!
Everything was perfect... Except our party of 4 wase seated in the back room with a large party as the only other people in the room
The food is always great. The hot seafood salad is always great. The desserts are fantastic
Friendly wait staff! Enjoyed the food and the Sunday brunch... good options, not too many, fresh ingredients.
My coworkers and I went out for a business lunch. Even with a reservation it took the waiter forever to seat us. We then waited more than 30 minutes until we finally got our drinks. Ended up asking for food to be boxed, as service was too slow.
Avigail not attentive wait person
We are new to the area and always looking for good restaurants. Bucks was recommended and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is in an old late 1800's building in a nondescript area of Everett. The menu has everything from comfort food to semi-fine dining. We have been eating lunch there for a year, great clam chowder. We ate our first dinner last night for our anniversary. My wife had a steak and I had grilled salmon, both entrees were delicious. She had broccoli soup and I had a lettuce wedge with a blue cheese and a balsamic reduction dressing, both outstanding. Since food is so subjective, I rarely post reviews but I would highly recommend giving this place a try. The prices are a little high but not Seattle high.
We love Buck's! It's ALWAYS very good and we're never disappointed. The best Chicken Parm we've ever had.
We enjoyed our dinner with Friends. The dinner was excellent and the server was quite attentive to our needs.
What a wonderful atmosphere! The wait staff was great and the food amazing! It wasn't too loud, we could talk and not have to shout or repeat ourselves. Prices were fair and we are looking forward to our next visit!
My wife and I chose Bucks to celebrate our 10yr anniversary... Had never even heard of them but definitely won’t forget! It’s not cheap but worth every penny. We had the steamed manila clams appetizer followed by ribeye steak for her and prime rib for me. It was some of the best food that we’ve ever had!
Deluxe Burger — meat was very over cooked and dry and barely tasted like meat. Bun was the type with lots of seeds on top, just like McDonald’s. The small steak was EXTREMELY small and also over cooked. It was truly the smallest steak I’ve ever seen. The staff was very knowledgeable to answer questions about menu items.
