Service was great and fast. Food ended up being a little cold but there were a few large parties in the restaurant so kitchen may have been backed up. Overall nice, friendly service and an amazing view of the river.
Excellent experience- the food was delicious and the wait staff was very friendly.
First time for brunch, everything was great! Highly recommend.
Awful! Everything about it was awful. Food, service, and price. The burger was so bad it mad me gag. Waitress said they were out of burgers and using meat from the kitchen. When I asked what that meant she brushed it off as unimportant. Ugh!!
Made a Prom reservation. Beautiful atmosphere for dinner and pictures. Turned out great.
Great food but service was a bit slow. They were busy, though.
Great view and good food at a reasonable price. It was promised night so just a little loud.
The food was good but our salads didn’t come out until our meal was served. Drinks were refilled when needed. Overall pleasant, would not hesitate to go back.
Out of a group of 10, half of us arrived early to enjoy drinks in the bar area while waiting on the rest of the group. The hostesses were very accommodating as we had to push our reservation up by 45 minutes because the last 2 from our group got stuck in traffic coming from I71. The servers in the bar area were prompt and cheerful and never let our drinks sit empty. The food was good and came out timely for a large group.
We love Buckhead for the ambiance, but the food always takes quite a while to come out (this time we were not there at a busy time so I don’t think it can be blamed on that), and the food is kind of hit or miss. My husband got their chicken tenders and he said it was great, but I got the pot pie and it was not so good. The crust was burnt or the oil they used in it wasn’t good or something but it did not taste great. The filling was good but the crust kind of ruined it. The staff are always great and very accommodating and again the ambiance is fantastic with a view of the river and everything.
Service was fine. Price a bit on the high side for the quality. Location great.
Made reservation because it was NCAA basketball weekend. Walked in the door and immediately was seated. Waiter arrived within minutes. Great food and ambiance. Never imagined even with reservation we would be seated so quickly. Great experience!
We were very disappointed when we made reservations a couple of weeks in advance and they tried to seat us where the sun was in half of our parties eyes and seemed like it was such a huge deal to move us. If they don't have a way to block the sun from that seat then they shouldn't sit people there during those hours. They finally moved us after we complained but it really was disappointing. After us they sat another party there and they had the same issue with the sun.
We were in town for a volleyball tourn and had a large party of 20. Most places were booked or could not accommodate a party of that size. The manager was extremely helpful and very attentive to our needs! Would definitely recommend!
Andrea the floor manager was great and helped us get a party of 10 in and was very pleasant to deal with.
We did not find an exit from Interstate 65, coming south from Indianapolis, where you told us there would be one, but we turned around in Louisville and came back via the 2nd Street bridge, and then Court Street. Our grandson was thrilled with the view across the river and was very pleased with his dinner. My wife and enjoyed the view too even though we have been there previously. Your food is excellent and usually well prepared! Though, this time, my chicken was undercooked, making it stringy and hard to cut. Your dining experience gave us an excellent get-together with our grandson. Thank you. Dana
Our server, Lindsey, was exceptional. She worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner and she kept a beautiful smile on her face. Great experience.
The restaurant is on the river, so you can get a view of the river. Indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated promptly. Server and service was very good. I had the hot brown. It was good, not great, and not as good as others I have had. But the taste and value were fine. My wife said her meal was OK, and fine for the price. We would probably go there again because the have good food for the price.
The food is average. The beer is good and the service is extremely slow. Overall though it is a great place to take children with a nice view of the river.
Not overly impressed with the food. My chicken teriyaki was overcooked. The chicken Alfredo hardly had any Alfredo sauce on it. One of our party ordered her steak well done , no pink. The steak came out bloody center had to be sent back. The waitress was very good and accommodating. Asked for a table with a view when we made the reservation. We were seated promptly on our arrival and had an excellent view of the river and downtown Louisville.
A bit loud, but good food and friendly service. Will come again.
Our waiter was trying to be funny, but used some harsh language. I was with a younger child so this disturbed me slightly. He always was rushing us. Asking if we needed a box before we started eating our food. He also rushed us to close the tab, once again before we were done eating. I came to have a meeting as a mentor, and had to carry on our conversations else where because of the rush and pressure to leave. The food was good, wasn’t able to enjoy it much though because we never got the chance to finish eating without feeling like a burden.
We both had Filets and both appeared to be cooked perfectly but neither had any flavor and both were dry. Nice view, good service, very reasonably priced but food was very bland.
I had a reservation for a month ahead for my husbands birthday for 20 people and when we arrive they didn’t even have the tables to accommodate my guests. Which they do have a separate room for these occasions!! Spoke to a manager before the date and said everything would be set up for the amount of people. Not once was I told that our family would be separated at completely different tables! I guess after I made a huge deal about the tables our food came out even worse!! Steaks were not the size we ordered or cooked the way we ordered them for the price we had to pay!! Drinks were left empty, our own family members were refilling their own drinks with the pitchers. No silverware at the table when they brought our salads out! I never leave reviews on anything, but this was by far the worst service I’ve have ever encountered. I will never return to this heaping pile of stink!!
First time visiting this restaurant because my husband and I were in town for a Alan Jackson concert. It was great food, great friendly staff and worth every penny. We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and we are not familiar with the area. So glad we did! We will return here again when we are in KY visiting again!
Decided on Buckead’s to enjoy a family dinner for NYE. Arrived after making a reservation and we were seated promptly. We waited for 10 minutes without being greeted, at which point we had to ask a passing waitress to send our server over...the waitress we asked ended up being our server. 1 meal, of 3, came out 10 minutes before the rest. Hot brown toast was badly burned, children’s grilled cheese was badly burned, nachos had very little queso, like a tablespoon, and was served in a paper lined basket. The waitress blamed everything on the kitchen and offered no remedies for the mistakes. The manager that spoke to us was very young and while he comped our full meal (we paid for alcohol) there were no apologies or ownership taken for the horrible experience.
Very disappointing experience as we go semi regularly and usually are happy.
We do appreciate you choosing Buckhead on NYE and hate to hear you had anything less than an excellent experience. We take the quality of our service and food very seriously and comping your entire meal was our way of taking ownership of our mistake. Thanks for the feedback!
I don't think the food or service are anything to write home about, however, it's a decent place to meet friends for a bite to eat. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing outstanding either. My menu was greasy to the touch which made me question cleanliness just a bit. Bread is outstanding, but processed, buttery carbs often are. I'd love to see calorie counts on the menu, just to give me a better idea of how food is prepared, but I understand if that's not a popular request.
The restaurant is in a good location but the service is lacking. Maybe not enough servers. Service was slow and problem with check. All was taken care of but the last few times we have visited it was lacking in most ways. It used to be a very good place to eat.
The restaurant was understaffed and when we received our steaks they were barely warm and coated in liquid smoke, to the point it was pooling on our plate.
It was great! To cold to sit in the patio but I’ll be back.
There was a hair in the food, water puddles on the floor and the waitress hovered
We had a reservation for a table of seven at 12:45 our table was ready when we got there 10 minutes early or server was tremendous and the service was quick which is great for lunch time the food was really good too I highly recommend
The blue cheese cole slaw had no blue cheese, was old and brown. When asked, the server laughed at me. The Manhattan roast beef had a lot of bread and very little beef and almost no mashed potatoes. Too bad since we used to come often. Thank goodness we had a good view.
Food was good and service was attentive. View across river is beautiful. Biggest negative was cleanliness. The floor under the table was full of food and liquid from spilled beverages.
We love this place! We come down every year!
We are a group of Christian married couples who decided last minute to get together for a bite to eat, ambience was awesome by the fireplace, our waiter was very attentive and friendly, we couldn’t have asked for better and food was very good. Really enjoyed our evening, we’ll be back!
Way too expensive for the buffet!!! I called and was told the price was $11, then got the check and it was $17 a piece. The manger did only charge us the $11 and I really appreciated that. But $17 is ridiculous!
Thanks for sharing! Our buffet price has not changed in 2018 and is on our website and in-store table toppers. We have always been very transparent about the price – $15.99 for adults and $7.99 for kids. It has been very popular brunch offering for years. We apologize if there was any miscommunication when you called the restaurant and hope the manager who happily honored the $11 price made your visit more enjoyable. Thanks again!
Love the resturant and its location. I will definitely be back.
Table was sticky.
I took an out of town client here and it was perfect for the view of the city. The food was great. Service outstanding. Loved the decor and ambiance.
