Restaurant was dirty. Ordered grilled salmon which was served cold and the bourbon butter ribeye which was overcooked to well done when ordered medium rare. When asked about our food, we explained that the steak was not cooked to order and all we were told was “sorry about that”. No attempt to correct our order. We sat outside for a view of the river and the cigar and cigarette smoke was so intense, it nearly ruined the entire experience which was already marred by sub-par food and service. We will NOT be returning!
We were staying close by so found this gem by chance, luckily to get an outside table with live music looking over the river.
Enjoyed it so much we revisited 2 days later.
Also the option to eat inside.
Delicious food, and good service
Had a nice dinner out on the deck. Very good music acoustic duo called You & Me who were great! Would come back and hear them again. Had nice weather good food and good service.
Good, not excellent
We were told we would have to wait as they had to clean and wrap silverware before we were seated. Husbands Double burger was nothing more that a double cheeseburger you would get at McD’s. Not grilled. No flavor. Service was scattered. We were there over half hour before order was taken. Should have left.
We love this restaurant! Everything that we order is always very good -- and their prices are reasonable.
The waitstaff is friendly and efficient, and the setting is lovely.
Went for outside seating but it was closed. Not sure why. Will know to call ahead next time to confirm that it is open.
Good food good atmosphere. Nice river view we were there for anniversary dinner. Would recommend to locals or visitors to the area.
Amazing! Always great and friendly service ❤️
Server was very quick. Food was excellent. The food arrived quicker than I expected.
Very poor service. Food was not great especially for the price. Very disappointed especially since we brought a guest from out of state
Had a great time celebrating our 4th anniversary at Buckheads on the River. Great window seat view. Great food. Great rolls! Awesome waitress. Wow what a great evening!
Very nice, reasonably priced brunch buffet. Very good Omelet and waffle station. Nice variety of breakfast and lunch items. Fried chicken was very good! Meatloaf was a little dry. Pastries were good if not made in-house. Some slices of the good looking cakes at the front desk would have been an excellent addition to the buffet.
Very nice view of the river and the Louisville skyline.
The place was dirty windows you couldn’t see out of for hand and fingerprints.. Carpet was worn out on the steps.. work stations had a inch of dust on it . And the food was horrible .. I got a Chicken salad sandwich with only a thinn slice of lettuce on it.. it use to be a wonderful place to come to as we are from Northern Indiana and looked forward to stopping there when we traveled South.. not anymore..
Very disappointing. Food unremarkable. Service slow and terrible. Won’t go back.
The waitress was not interested in refilling my water or bringing the rolls that came along with my meal. I literally had to get up to get my glass of water refilled. I mean, it was 93 degrees outside so I might have been thirsty.
The video of the river was awesome. The cod sandwich was good. The chocolate cake was a little dry.
My main complaint was the waitress.
Everything was great. Food good, dining outside was awesome. My only complaint was the food and drinks took way to long. I don't know if I would blame the waiter or the kitchen for the food. The waiter was a nice kid and friendly, just the service took too long.
We placed a reservation online which they claimed to have but did not act upon it. Finally got a table ready and it was six of us sitting side by side looking at a wall. Manager did get us set up with a normal table after we complained. Waitress started out very good then became invisible. Waited 20 minutes to get boxes and checks.
Service was great and fast. Food ended up being a little cold but there were a few large parties in the restaurant so kitchen may have been backed up. Overall nice, friendly service and an amazing view of the river.
Excellent experience- the food was delicious and the wait staff was very friendly.
First time for brunch, everything was great! Highly recommend.
Awful! Everything about it was awful. Food, service, and price. The burger was so bad it mad me gag. Waitress said they were out of burgers and using meat from the kitchen. When I asked what that meant she brushed it off as unimportant. Ugh!!
Made a Prom reservation. Beautiful atmosphere for dinner and pictures. Turned out great.
Great food but service was a bit slow. They were busy, though.
Great view and good food at a reasonable price. It was promised night so just a little loud.
The food was good but our salads didn’t come out until our meal was served. Drinks were refilled when needed. Overall pleasant, would not hesitate to go back.
Out of a group of 10, half of us arrived early to enjoy drinks in the bar area while waiting on the rest of the group. The hostesses were very accommodating as we had to push our reservation up by 45 minutes because the last 2 from our group got stuck in traffic coming from I71. The servers in the bar area were prompt and cheerful and never let our drinks sit empty. The food was good and came out timely for a large group.
We love Buckhead for the ambiance, but the food always takes quite a while to come out (this time we were not there at a busy time so I don’t think it can be blamed on that), and the food is kind of hit or miss. My husband got their chicken tenders and he said it was great, but I got the pot pie and it was not so good. The crust was burnt or the oil they used in it wasn’t good or something but it did not taste great. The filling was good but the crust kind of ruined it. The staff are always great and very accommodating and again the ambiance is fantastic with a view of the river and everything.
Service was fine. Price a bit on the high side for the quality. Location great.
Made reservation because it was NCAA basketball weekend. Walked in the door and immediately was seated. Waiter arrived within minutes. Great food and ambiance. Never imagined even with reservation we would be seated so quickly. Great experience!
We were very disappointed when we made reservations a couple of weeks in advance and they tried to seat us where the sun was in half of our parties eyes and seemed like it was such a huge deal to move us. If they don't have a way to block the sun from that seat then they shouldn't sit people there during those hours. They finally moved us after we complained but it really was disappointing. After us they sat another party there and they had the same issue with the sun.
We were in town for a volleyball tourn and had a large party of 20. Most places were booked or could not accommodate a party of that size. The manager was extremely helpful and very attentive to our needs! Would definitely recommend!
Andrea the floor manager was great and helped us get a party of 10 in and was very pleasant to deal with.
We did not find an exit from Interstate 65, coming south from Indianapolis, where you told us there would be one, but we turned around in Louisville and came back via the 2nd Street bridge, and then Court Street. Our grandson was thrilled with the view across the river and was very pleased with his dinner. My wife and enjoyed the view too even though we have been there previously. Your food is excellent and usually well prepared! Though, this time, my chicken was undercooked, making it stringy and hard to cut. Your dining experience gave us an excellent get-together with our grandson. Thank you. Dana
Our server, Lindsey, was exceptional. She worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner and she kept a beautiful smile on her face. Great experience.
The restaurant is on the river, so you can get a view of the river. Indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated promptly. Server and service was very good. I had the hot brown. It was good, not great, and not as good as others I have had. But the taste and value were fine. My wife said her meal was OK, and fine for the price. We would probably go there again because the have good food for the price.
The food is average. The beer is good and the service is extremely slow. Overall though it is a great place to take children with a nice view of the river.
Not overly impressed with the food. My chicken teriyaki was overcooked. The chicken Alfredo hardly had any Alfredo sauce on it. One of our party ordered her steak well done , no pink. The steak came out bloody center had to be sent back. The waitress was very good and accommodating. Asked for a table with a view when we made the reservation. We were seated promptly on our arrival and had an excellent view of the river and downtown Louisville.
A bit loud, but good food and friendly service. Will come again.
