Buca di Beppo - Worthington Ratings and Reviews
Prices have gotten out of control. Stuffing was slightly burned and missed the Apple Walnut Gorgonzola Salad that usually comes with the Great Thanksgiving feast. Not as good as we have come to expect from this location but not bad enough to keep us from coming back despite major price increase from last year.
Food is ok, nothing special, the lady at the front greeted us with mouthful of food and was chewing it, that was the worst we ever saw in a restaurant, I think the management need to give them a break to eat. We had better experience here before but I think the restaurant is failing
Our server was AMAZING. She had three large tables in a small, confined space, where she (quite thin) could hardly walk between the tables. She stayed happy, she was efficient, and somehow didn't spill a thing (an amazing feat with waving arms, a crazy loud nouse level). The food was good, but our server, Montana, made the experience great.
We returned to Bucca di Peppo for our anniversary...6 years ago, we had a small wedding with immediate family only and all of us had went to Bucca after the ceremony for dinner.
This time we e were sat in the bar area (they were pretty slow that night) We didn't order appetizers, just drinks and our entrees. The server was very knowledgeable and assisted us with our choices. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had the fettuccine alfredo w/chicken. My entree was pretty bland and the noodles were undercooked. I have definitely had better! I didn't send them back but I ate more of my husbands meal than he probably liked! The cheesecake was excellent.
We will return, maybe it was just an off night.
First time ever, the food was sub-par. Manager stated they did not reduce the sauce, took the dinner back to kitchen, brought it back in five minutes. Better yes, but not the same. Order zitti to go, bland as well. Read online comments, appears we are not the first to comment on the change in food quality
Not as good as used to be. We ordered two of the pasta specials that they have the the month. Only found a few pieces of sausages and short ribs in the pasts, nothing like what they showed on the ads.
The salad is ok, but you can tell it's came from a package, rather than freshly cut, not too impressive at all.
Disappointing service, difficult to get drink refills or anything else. Added to by a delay on bringing food for the youngest member of our group. Hard to explain to a 6 year old why he has to wait 10 minutes after the adults had their food. I really just assumed the $5 kids meal would be comped from our $200 bill for this issue. But it was not.
We had to ask for small plates for the bread and oil. Baked Ziti which is a house favorite was very bland, little amount of sauce, dry and over all just disappointing. Our drinks were refilled and switched when brought back to the table. The broccoli was flavorless with a definite frozen taste. We were seated as soon as we walked in which was a plus. Definitely will visit their Columbus location if we choose to go again because the experience there has been a lot better.
We have been here many times, usually for a family dinner or special occasion. This time it was not great. The ambiance was flat, the food was not as expected. We got spaghetti and meatballs and lemon chicken, as well as a salad, all large portions. The spaghetti sauce was not flavorful. The chicken was breaded, which was not how we have had it in the past. The wine was quite good, Seven Sisters moscato, I believe. As I said, we have eaten here more than 10 times. This time it was disappointing.
Can't think of a better place for birthday dinners! The room we were in was really loud, but that had more to do with the loud talkers/laughers shouting over each other....big night out in the big city. But when their food showed up they piped down. Food was really, really good!
