We had a wonderful dinner. Only negative was our booth seat was awful. Big dip in the vinyl seat and I was literally sitting on a bar of wood. I would have asked for a different table but we were with my 85 yr. old parents who have great difficulty getting up and down. 😣
Service and atmosphere was great, lasagna was too dry for our liking but the fettuccine Alfredo and salads were good.
Birthday they always help celebrate
The food was very bland. Really had no flavor at all. Spaghetti and Meatballs tasted just like a can of tomatos with noodles. Sauce was really watery. Chicken Marsala was not a typical chicken Marsala. Very sweet. Could not even finish it. Way too expensive for not good quality food.
Great meal tonight with the family.
Wonderful atmosphere and extremely accommodating to our party of 20!
We enjoyed our dinner, however, we wish that we could order dinners that serve one person. We would like to each have our own dinner rather than having to order one dinner that serves 3 people and there are two of us. That way we each could have had an appetizer, a main course, and a salad. The two of us could have had 6 items rather than the three we ordered for two people.
We were very disappointed with our dinner at Buca. We had a 5:30 pm reservation and purposely chose this restaurant because we were craving their spaghetti and meatballs. Imagine our surprise when we were told they’re “currently out of meatballs” and it would take 1-1/2 hours for them to be available to order! How could a restaurant that is known for its meatballs be out of them just as the restaurant opens for dinner on a Friday night?!?! That’s like McDonalds being out of hamburgers! We settled for a different dish, but this honestly ruined our experience.
We love Buca, we for the veal this time and it was a little burnt on the bottom but still tasty and the seafood pasta was great.
No matter what Buca that you visit, the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the service is always consistently great!
Father’s day dinner. Make a reservation. They were turning people away. I’m glad I did.
We enjoyed Father's Day weekend with a family meal at Bucca.
Food was ok, service was the poorest we have ever experienced in our 20-30 visits to Buca.
How does an Italian restaurant run out of meatballs?!? That is your signature dish!
Very chaotic, short staffed. Go to downtown location
Angry manager. Great server.
Mediocre overpriced food.
Great place! Bring your appetite as the portion are large for sharing 😎
We are somewhat regulars at this location and this time we were actually unimpressed with the flavor and presentation of the Chicken Limone. No where near the value of 72.00 with Garlic Cheese Bread, and Fettucini Alfredo glass of ice tea and 6 oz Pinot Noir. More like 25.00 dinner
We had a great time and enjoyed our lunch! Our waitress did well and was very friendly. We will definitely go back!
I've always loved Buca for a casual, kid-friendly meal, but Worthington's Buca has really been neglected and is poorly managed. Upon walking in, it smelled dirty and the carpet has been so trampled it was threadbare. The hostess was a cross between angry and bored, didn't make eye contact or crack a smile, as we waited 10 minutes in a very slow restaurant with no wait to be seated.
Our server saved the day, she was peppy and polite, and apologetic for any wait. As we sat and ate our apps for about 30 -40 minutes, we were informed the kitchen lost our ticket. It seemed, in fact, it had lost everyone's tickets. Our server was very apologetic and had the manager come over and apologize. They took care of our apps, but at that point, my impression was WTH is going on in this place?
This Buca needs a heavy cleaning, new flooring, and possibly a few replacements within their staff. As much as I enjoy this place, I will not be returning to this location.
Had a Mother's Day reservation for 7:00, got seated @ 7:40 just like the host told us on arrival. 30-40 minutes late. When we were seated about 1/2 the tables were empty. It would have been nice to sit down for 40 minutes instead of standing in the entry. They squeezed us in to a both that was too small for 6 large adults. Next to two open tables that would have been comfortable. We will not go back on a holiday or special occasion. Wait staff were nice but frazzled, she said that she had been there since 9 AM.
Good food, family style menu can be a bit tricky, but can beat the value
Had special instructions that we did not want a booth. This is due to comfort and mobility issues for our family. When we arrived a few minutes before our reservation they then realized they had us planned for a booth. They said they had nothing else as they were busy. I asked them to figure it out as we had not been notified they could not accommodate. They said they were very busy yet we finally (30 min later) were put in a room that sat empty our entire meal. They said people show up. This seemed like a simple they made long and complicated
Had to wait to be seated with a reservation that was an early seating at 5:15. Waiting area is super small and with three small kids it was a problem having to wait. wine was extremely pricey and server forgot one of our appetizers and brought it out with dinner.....a waste at that point!
In town for a tournament, needed a restaurant to meet family that lives locally. The floors in the main entry area where you wait to be seated were sticky, that should have been my first clue to leave. Bathroom floors also sticky, do they ever clean this place?? Yuck! $30 for 2 drinks, I could have gotten them cheaper in NYC! The service was slow, obviously understaffed. The food was terrible. Penne Vodka looked & tasted like penne w/ diced tomatoes dumped on it, gross. The pizza, which was supposed to feed 3 people was barely enough for my son, plus it was cold & gross & about $20! My water was refilled in a pitcher that was obviously dirty. I would only go here if you want to be ripped off, have slow service & disgusting food in a filthy restaurant.
We took our daughter here for her birthday with her friends. We had 8 people in our party, and had made reservations way in advance. Our poor server was then given a party of about 25 people behind us. Our food was cold, drinks were left empty, and after making it clear multiple times we’d like our daughter to be sung to, that never happened either. After an hour and 45 minutes we finally got our check. Our server then apologized and let us know he was serving 68 people. That is absolutely unacceptable for him to be expected to do that, and for his customers who were expecting good service and food. We won’t be returning in the future.
Food is so overpriced for the quality.
Buca’s has not been cleaned or updated and the food is only fair. Disappointing but my son loved it.
The restaurant didn’t have our reservation and blamed it on open table. The didn’t bother to apologize for the mixup and didn’t even offer to put us on the list. The hostess just simply said “we’ve had ten other people say they had reservation, so I don’t know what you want me to do for you.” She then continued to be rude to my wife until we decided to just leave. A nice “sorry for the mixup, let me get you seated as soon as we can” would have been nice! Maybe a “May I put you on our list, it’ll be 45 mins”, or something.....anything really would have been better than what she offered.
Made the reservation but when my party arrived the restaurant had no record of it. I then showed them my confirmation and was told “we’ll see what we can do”. After 30 minutes (and a hungry 2 year old in our party) we left. They showed very little customer service in trying to accommodate this mistake.
food's good, but a little pricey. lunch menu is cheaper
Unpleasant. I made a reservation on Open Table for 7:00, a Saturday girls' night out for my 17-year-old daughter and myself. We'd been to Buca di Beppo before, and enjoyed the quirky ambiance and dishes of food that are meant to be shared by all. When we arrived, the hostess looked for our name on the list and told us in an extremely rude manner that we weren't on it, didn't have a reservation, and then dismissed us as though we were lying about it and trying to nab a table on a busy night when there were none available. I flipped through my email, returned and showed her the confirmation and she sputtered and told us in a no less nasty tone that it would "be a couple of minutes." Then she went back to chatting with the servers who were passing through, talking with customers as they came in, and pointedly ignoring us, because apparently we were to be shunned without so much as an apology for the mix up. Large groups, groups of four, three, and finally two were seated while we stood there, and when the two, who had arrived less than five minutes earlier, were taken to their table, I'd had enough, and asked the hostess why we hadn't been seated first. She replied with an unbelievable amount of hostility that she seated people in the order that they were on the list. What?? After FORTY minutes, we were finally given a table. The food was good with the exception of very dry garlic bread, the server wasn't particularly friendly, but not rude. We packed up our leftovers and ordered dessert, and the check arrived at our table. Before the dessert. Whatever. My daughter ate her cannoli and we left, the evening colored by the forty minutes of nasty, unapologetic treatment we had received, during which we were made to feel as though somehow it was our own fault. What sort of restaurant blames its mistakes on the customer? My daughter said later that we should have asked for the manager, but honestly, I didn't want to make a fuss. Not going back any time soon, if ever.
Was excited to visit this chain - but unfortunately this was to be our first and last visit. Mediocre food. Nothing tasted fresh or homemade. A good red sauce takes hours for all the flavors to meld. Theirs tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes barely warmed up. Our waiter was slow and bar orders took forever. Sangria tasted cheap and definitely not homemade. Cool decor but the carpet was dirty and gross. Very disappointing.
Great family experience
Food is always constantly delicious.
Food did not meet expectations. Had to send salmon back because it wasn’t cooked through. Was told they couldn’t properly cook salmon because it was frozen. (Why’d they even try to serve it?)
Shrimp Florentine was flavorful. Pizza was tasty. Mussels were well season but many in the bowl did not open.
