Made a reservation for our family on the 18th. We were quickly seated after checking in a few minutes early with the hostess. We walked back to an empty part of the restaurant and the server for that section was standing by the entry way of the room. I never caught her name, but she rudely began to complain to the hostess about seating her, saying she did not want tables in 3 rooms, and said she was so annoyed that she had to have another table, and wanted to be “done.” I was horrified we had not even sat down at our table yet, and had to stand in front of someone who was supposed to take care of us. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade and could never imagine treating a guest that way. I did not sit down at the table and instead waited for this server to return, and when she did, I just asked if we could talk to her manager. I explained that I did not want to cause inconvenience to someone who so blatantly made clear to me she did not want to wait on us. I asked to be moved to a different section. While the manager offered no apology, he did get us another server. Our server, Ariah, was more than wonderful. I can’t begin to explain the recourse she did, and how great she made our experience. From being ready to walk out of the restaurant, we enjoyed every minute thereafter because of her. I cannot thank her enough for her hospitality and I hope that you will please send along our appreciation to her. She was so personable, friendly, and truly took amazing care of us. We thanked the manager we spoke with on our way out, and appreciated that he accommodated the change in servers.

We hadn't been to Buca for a few years, and decided to give it a try. We can only say it was OK. Nothing wrong with the food, but it is nothing special and a bit pricey for nothing special. Service was slow, and our server made sure we knew how flustered she was, and implied it wasn't her fault. Regardless, really slow service.

Three different sizes of many wines are available. My husband and I chose the middle size - 9 oz, assuming we could share it. On the menu, this size is indicated with a carafe, but we instead got one glass of wine. It seemed a bit short of 9 oz, but we simply asked for an empty wine glass so we could split it. Our flustered server brought us another glass of wine. Fine - we drank it. Buca could improve their wine menu to be more representative of what you actually receive.

Food good. Cold air blowing on us the entire time in the winter! Waiter did not ask us about dessert. Seats in booth had tape covering tear in casing and foam was beyond its time.

Pretty expensive since you order meals for 3 or more diners (family style). The two of us dropped a hundo even with a $20 coupon. But leftovers heat up well. Decent service.

My reservation was for 7:15, I arrived and checked in about 6:30. After I had checked in with the hostess, there were several other parties that arrived after me without reservations, these people were told 45 minutes by the manager. It was 7:15 and I approached the manager about being seated and he told me that they were clearing tables and it would be a minute. I accepted that until the parties that arrived after my party of 2 were seated before me. I was frustrated and questioned the manager as to why they were seated first and he did not have an answer but replied again that it would be a minute. By 7:30ish we were finally seated. I have never had this issue before at this location, although the african American gentleman who was the manager seemed to be disinterested in the fact that I had taken the time to make a reservation instead of having to stand around as I did. I will continue to go to this location but will not tolerate the dismissive attitude of this manager again. Please note that I suggested the managers ethnicity only to make people aware of who he was exactly in case the upper management would happen to see this review. If I would have known his name I would have listed it ILO pointing out his ethnicity.

First time going. Food sizes were very big. Had plenty of leftovers for the next few days. Food tasted great and the service was good too. Only thing is they ran out of the drink my date wanted but wasn't a big deal. Will go back again soon.

Reservation at 7 pm, but didn't get seated until 7:20. Sat at table for several minutes with little or no service. Crowded and understaffed. Got better as time went along.

We first experienced Bucca years ago in California. It was outstanding.
We were there on feb 9, 2018. We did not wait long for a table. Our waitress was really good, polite and accommodating.
We had a party of 9 including 3 children. We ordered $300 in food and have to say I was disappointed. Food was lukewarm, very little sauce. The taste was not right, not bad just a little musty tasting. The building itself is showing signs of wear and not being repaired.
We probably will not go back anytime soon. Pity because it was a very nice place to eat and enjoy friends and family.

My wife and I went for National Pizza Day. I had received a coupon for half price on a pizza. We arrived right on time for our reservation. Our order was taken and we received our drinks and salad. Our pizza never came. Tables who arrived after us received their meals, but no pizza for us. Finally the wait staff said the kitchen staff forgot to make our pizza. The cost of the pizza was taken off our bill. Pizza was a little burnt. Next time I'll order the spaghetti and meatballs.

We had a reservation obviously, but it took forever to get a table and it seemed the host forgot about us. The room we were sat in was way too hot. Our server was not personable. Failed to refill waters or get drinks out in a timely manner. Another server actually ended up helping us out more even though she was just as busy. Food was ok. Bruschetta in the huge martini glass was weird. Overall not a great night and does not make me want to go back soon.

Exteremly short staffed. Waited 30 minutes to be able to sit down with 5 kids at the party, and an hour for our food. Chef was helping with carry-out orders, no-host at the front door. Not as good as old Buca days any more... Only manager on duty (on a Saturday night) was doing everything he can to save the day and big kudos to him. But he can’t save the brand by himself. Every employee looked like very frustrated and ready to walk-out.

It was a very busy time to dine there, We used open table and was able to reserve a table for 4 and only needed to wait 15 min past our scheduled time. Although it was very busy and obviously short staffed John, our waiter, did a great job. The hostess was awesome and kept her cool under a ton of pressure.

I indicated on my reservation that we were coming in to celebrate our anniversary and no one acknowledged that it was our anniversary. Why have the option to indicate special occasions if they aren't going to be acknowledged? It was also obvious they didn't look at our reservation notes by where they decided to seat us. Probably the only room in the place where people were sitting and next to a table with 3 misbehaving children! My husband and I made a reservation for the 2 of us to get away from our children...nit to have to sit and listen to 2 parents yell at their kids all night. The food was ok. But the veal parmesan should have been pounded out thinner. It was way too thick and chewy!

While the food is always great, the experienced was rushed. The server was clearly overwhelmed. Our food, salad and main course, all came out together. We were never offered the opportunity to order more beverages than we originally ordered.

Food was cold and over-priced. Had ravioli with meat but meat was scarce. Chicken dish was cold. Table was dirty. I feel like place is run-down. We paid way too much for that sub-par meal. We won't be back there. Ever.

My husband and I love Buca--we've been to the Area District location many times for date night and family get-togethers. Unfortunately, upon visiting the Worthington location, we had a disappointing experience. I made a reservation for 7:15 in case it was busy (granted, I didn't schedule far in advance--maybe a 1/2 hour), and we arrived a few minutes before that. The lobby was completely full and some people had clearly been waiting for a really long time. The hostesses were arguing with each other (I heard mumblings of being short-staffed that night), and were not being polite with customers. We waited until about 7:45 to be seated. During that time we heard the hostess being very curt to customers simply requesting their place in line/approximate wait time to which the answer was "whenever tables open up." Our waitress was very friendly, but the experience was already tainted. We might give it another shot, but I think we'll be limiting our visits to the Arena District location.

We've been to Buca many times on or around a holiday and have always had excellent service despite a packed restaurant. We love that we can bring the entire family and pass several entrees around the table for all to enjoy. And the kids love that they are welcome to be themselves in a family-friendly environment. And did I forget to mention the food is FANTASTIC?!

Horrible management. Every server apologized to every table for the LONG wait times after ordering. Should have gotten up and left.

Horrible food. McD's is next door and serves better quality food.

If you do go just drink tap water- wine was awful, my mixed drink had alcohol in it...

We love Buca!!! Our servers were fantastic!!! Food... always delicious!!! Manager.... surprisingly unaccommodating! We had family in from AZ that had never experienced Buca... we asked to sit at the Kitchen table... the hostess asked him and he said that he had ToGo orders on the table and he would not accommodate us. We walked through the kitchen there were two ToGo bags and the table needed to be wiped off! This would have taken less than 1 min to accommodate us. (It was 5:15 pm on a Tuesday). The restaurant was empty. I have never had a negative experience here, but this was disappointing!!!

I made a reservation 1 week ago for a birthday celebration for my friend for a nice evening out with our husbands for 7:00. I made it through open table. So we arrive at 7 and stood in the lobby and waited to 15 minutes to be seated which we we ok with. So.....the hostess starts taking us back to our table but then the manager takes over and proceeds to tell us as we were walking that the kitchen is backed up and is running 1 hour behind. At first we thought he was kidding but he assured us that he wasn’t. He takes us to a back room that had to me at least 80 degrees. We sit down and told him he had to cool the room off or we couldn’t stay. He said they had been trying all night but couldn’t. So now we are sweating in a restaurant where we were going to wait over 1 hour to eat. We were all literally in shock!! I am 56 years old and dined all over Columbus as well as the world and have never experienced this. All he was willing to do was give us a free appetizer. We all looked at one another and said we have to get out of here. So..here’s where open table disappointed me. I get on my app and proceed to try to find another restaurant nearby and as I tried to make reservations the app kept telling me I had to call and cancel Bucca di peppa where we were. We called up front to cancel and they couldn’t even find us and we were sitting in their restaurant!! What a freakin joke!!!! I did it the old fashioned way and called a restaurant and we were able to get in and FINALLY enjoy dinner. Problem was my husband can’t eat dinner late because he has bad acid reflux so now it’s 8:30 so he couldn’t really eat much and we were all looking forward to a nice Italian dinner that night. So... that is my review of last night, December 16th, 2017

Took 50 minutes to get appetizer. Over hour for food, pizza cold as was shells and pasta. Waitress had to apologize all night for kitchen...had reservations over a week for annual family party. Never again there.

Prices have gotten out of control. Stuffing was slightly burned and missed the Apple Walnut Gorgonzola Salad that usually comes with the Great Thanksgiving feast. Not as good as we have come to expect from this location but not bad enough to keep us from coming back despite major price increase from last year.

Food is ok, nothing special, the lady at the front greeted us with mouthful of food and was chewing it, that was the worst we ever saw in a restaurant, I think the management need to give them a break to eat. We had better experience here before but I think the restaurant is failing

Our server was AMAZING. She had three large tables in a small, confined space, where she (quite thin) could hardly walk between the tables. She stayed happy, she was efficient, and somehow didn't spill a thing (an amazing feat with waving arms, a crazy loud nouse level). The food was good, but our server, Montana, made the experience great.

Our server Taryn was awesome! It was our first time dining there and they were wonderful. They even sang to us for our anniversary.
