Fun place with all the different rooms and decor, but the food is extremely overpriced for what you get. Calamari was supposed to fee 3 and it was smaller than a regular order at most restaurants, but twice the price. Large pizza was not that large, cracker crust, not substantial but the price sure was. Same with the Caesar salad.
Wait staff was nice and attentive, just not a good value at all
Carolyn, we are sorry to hear you did not fully enjoy your recent visit. We appreciate that you have taken the time to write to us, as it will only help us improve ourselves. Thank you for giving us the chance to make it right for future visits.
The waitress was very good as was the food. Always a great meal.
Thank you for taking the time to share such complimentary feedback about our team. We look forward to serving you again soon!
Overall good experience! Service was a little slow but our waitress shared they were understaffed and it was fairly busy.
Thank you for dining with us at Buca di Beppo and we appreciate your feedback to share with our team. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Great family atmosphere....good service too.
The service was extremely slow. Took over an hour to get our meal. Ordered a salad and garlic bread to come out together. The salad came after about 20 minutes and the bread came about 40 minutes later. Disappointing how slow the service was.
They were out of fried mozzarella and lasagna among other things.
Enjoyed a Father's Day dinner with family.
Our family celebrated Father’s Day today! Our server was fantastic! She was respectful of our need to visit initially and gave us time to decide on our choices. We never felt rushed like she needed us to get going to free the table. Food was hot & outstanding as usual!! The desserts were huge portions and yummy! The only complaint was that our table was the first table around the corner from the entrance and it was FREEZING there! It was uncomfortably cold!!! We went to the restroom and other parts of the restaurant were normal temperatures.
Got to eat at the “kitchen table”. What a fun experience!! Got to watch the kitchen work. Food and service was excellent like usual. One of our favorites!
The waitress was rude, wouldn’t bring back refills, took the longest time to cash out. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had there and I’ve been on the busiest nights when the place was packed, they weren’t packed or even busy on a Thursday
The food was good. However, I wish when ordering a gluten free dish the had special dishes or a way of marking the food. Very often I feel sick later and wonder if my server actually ordered the item correctly.
I have been there several times by far this was the worst!
We arrived to stand at the greeter station for 10 minutes before we saw anyone at that point a girl walked out and said she was not working (which was apparent in how she was dressed) and said she would seat us
A few minutes later around 7 minutes someone came to the table and took the drink order another 7 to 8 minutes went by before we received the drinks to shorten this experience we finally received our find about 55 minutes after it was ordered.
There may have been a total of 10 customers in the entire restaurant so it was not due to being very busy
At no point did anyone apologize for the wait or experience.
Such a great place for groups! This particular location does seem to be getting a little tired, and might need some updating. Server was fantastic and food came out quickly and hot! The stuffed chicken with procutto is a favorite. Antipasto salad is also excellent!
Made a reservation for 10 individuals more than a month in advance and received a confirmation call from the restaurant 2 days in advance. Upon arrival, we were told that our group could not be accommodated at one table and so, we were to be seated at two tables. At one point, an employee at the front spoke rather condescendingly to me saying: You're actually lucky we're able to accommodate the group and have two tables next to one another. As our group was given a tour on the way to our table, we noticed the restaurant had yet to fill up with patrons and several tables that could accommodate 10 individuals, specifically one in the area our group was to be seated at - using two tables, which could not be put together. I asked why we were unable to have a table, like the one we saw that accommodated 10+ individuals - especially since the reservation was made more than a month in advance. We wondered, if there was an issue seating our group together, then why wasn't it shared upon making the reservation or when I received the confirmation call? After 10 minutes of waiting, they were able to move our group to the table we saw in our area with seating for 10 people. In addition to this, our group was met with additional issues - the wrong wine being brought out, meat in a salad (our entire group does not eat meat, which was shared several times), slow service, etc. The manager came out, apologized, and took the cost of the salad off our bill, but at this point, that was certainly not enough to fix the issue after issue we encountered.
I would definitely NOT recommend the Worthington location, especially if you have dietary restrictions/special requests or are celebrating a special event, like our group was.
Prices are up, quality of food went down. Even the giant brownie sundae was 1/2 the normal size and had no brownies. There was a total of two scoops of ice cream in in, disguised under mountains of whipped cream. We advised our waitress about the missing brownies...so 5 minutes later she returned with a plate of brownies instead of a properly made brownie Sunday. The mac and cheese was worse than school cafe mac and cheese with yellow water instead of cheese. The pizza was s salt bomb. Our favorite chicken meal had an odd white sauce on it instead of the green pesto, and that chicken was very dry.
Every worker we encountered seemed just tired, as though burnt out from hearing customers complain. We found too many wrongs to fix with a conversation, thus we are done with Buca. Sadly, as this was my kids’ favorite place.
We went on mothers day evening for dinner. We made reservations for 6pm. When we walked in to check in the entire entry way was full. We waited an entire hour before we were finally seated. It was 7pm before we finally got to sit down! We had our 88 year old mother with us and she had a very hard time standing that long. There was one short bench for seating of about 2 and it was so packed we couldn't even squeeze there. I think they overbooked the restaurant or were not sufficiently staffed to handle the crowd. We finally decided we would leave after one hour of waiting when they finally called our name. I don't think we will be back anytime soon, and definitely NOT on a holiday. Very frustrating evening.
On the good side, once we were seated, the food was fantastic, and the server took good care of us.
Service was terrible. Even with a reservation, we waited almost 45 minutes to be seated. Then we were put at a table that was too small for our party. The food was amazing, but the service on Mother’s Day was awful.
I realize it was Mother's Day. BUT. 40 minutes after reservation time to be seated. Over an hour to get food with half of order missing Spaghetti had virtually no sauce. And we were done before more arrived. And manager did nothing. Nothing. Waste of time and money on this visit. Will be a long time before we go back. Terrible Mother's Day experience
We had a 4:00 reservation. Reception area was full of angry people. Waited an hour for our reserved table.
Great food and Great service. I would recommend this restaurant for all occasions.
Waited 40 minutes after I made a reservation.
Tried to seat us at a makeshift table.
Ended up moving to the bar.
Waiter was nice as could be, tried to make it a better experience.
Food took almost an hour. Subpar. This place is always behind on reservations, we’ve been here multiple times and it’s always like this. Not too happy about spending three hours on Mothers Day here.
Last time. Not sure what happened today, but our Mother's Day lunch for 5 took two and a half hours. We sat for over an hour waiting for our 3 entrees, which were not served together, not very well prepared, and quite frankly no better than what I could have made at home. This place used to be a fun and tasty experience - not so anymore. So tired of sitting, we didn't even order tiramisu for dessert. Very expensive, but solidifies my stance to no longer patronize restaurants that don't strive to be excellent.
The reservations were running 30-45mins late
The service was decent but unfortunately the food quality is going down hill. Very bland, very little sauce on items. My daughter was so excited to try the fried Mac-N-Cheese Balls - but they were horrible. So much so we could not eat them. We did tell the server and the manager removed them from our bill. The server was very accommodating. The before dinner bread was great!
The worst experience I've ever had at Buca. Food didn't come out that hot. Not sure if the prosciutto stuffed chicken was cooked through. And the caprese salad was overpriced and the tomatoes were terrible. A $80 bill for 2 with no alcohol or dessert. Definitely not going back anytime soon
Nest service we've had there.
They changed the menu. No more veal dishes; which is why we used to go there. Nothing special any more.
Great service for 16 people. Food was great, hosts were very accommodating.
Our daughters 13th Birthday. During the evening, our server was often missing & slow to refill drinks or just overall service. We announced to her it was our daughters birthday- & we would want to do something she not only did not do anything, she spent great deal of evening towards end of meal complaining as we were in poor room to another server about to-do & when she would get off because she was tired. We had to get plates and napkins ourselves because we waited for five minutes without sight of her & finally don’t want to wait any longer. We boxed our food and again share we wanted to do birthday celebration 15 minutes passed she did no celebration, dessert or check. Finally after 15 she arrived again, we asked again and she said, oh ok. She came back and they sang to daughter but by the time they finally came to sing- she asked if we wanted dessert but we passed because it was 30 minutes post meal and we were done. We had to ask for our check. It was a total of 2 plus hours for just dinner
Good food and always way more than what you'd expect.
Service was phenomenal
It was wonderful!
I was so looking forward to a wonderful birthday dinner with special friends and great food. Well the special friends part was the only redemption to my birthday dinner. the experience we had at Buca on 03/29 was so far from what I expected. I had been to buca before a few years ago and was really excited to eat there again. we ordered according to our waitresses recommendation. feeding 4 people we wanted a few different entrées to share well needless to say it was more than enough awful food that we ended up wasting much of it. We could have fed the table next to us. the spaghetti with marina sauce seemed to be nothing more than spaghetti with crushed tomatoes on top and tasted that way and not very much of it(we will come back to that) at that point. the tortellini we ordered had no taste and almost no sauce, our friends ordered shrimp scampi that was dryer than dry. to say the least we spent a lot of money for crappy food. Oh did I mention it was my birthday, I did get the Birthday sundae that is offered. If you call a bowl of whipped cream on top of a stale brownie a treat. it was terrible. wish I would have gone across the road to the Cookie dough sundae shop. Back to the dry pasta, asking for anything extra from our server fell on deaf ears most of the evening. we asked for additional dressing for our salad when we ordered the salad. it came out when we were halfway through eating our salad, we needed clean silverware, and extra napkins they were very delayed in getting to us. If the restaurant would have been busy at the time we asked for the additional items it could have been excused as Oh she is super busy she will get to us soon. but that was not the case. Needless to say my birthday dinner stunk, and I/we will never return. I will let and have let anyone who will listen know how poor our experience was. Oh did I mention I booked on line and NONE of my requests for seating or that it was a special occasion were noted. NEVER AGAIN.
A favorite for family and work dinners, the Pope Room is a favorite.
Been going to Buca since it opened years ago. This time we’re finished. Not going back. Should have known how bad it’s gotten when we pulled into the parking lot & saw two tourist buses.
Calamari was god awful. We’ve had it before & it was acceptable. Fried so hard that you could barely distinguish the hard breading from the calamari. It gets better. Some moron in the kitchen thinks overdosing everything with crushed red pepper flakes will disguise how bad the cooking is. The marinara sauce was covered with red pepper flakes & you couldn’t dip the calamari into it without being covered in flakes.
We’ve had the linguini with clam sauce before. First time excellent. Second time good. This time pathetic. For $28, I expect to see more clams than freakin RED PEPPER FLAKES!!!!
Got Cannolis to take home. Again, a mistake. For $12, I expect the shells to be filled. They shouldn’t have empty air pockets in the middle with no filling.
If I hadn’t had a $25 off email deal, I would have raised hell. Instead, we’ve given up on what used to be an enjoyable restaurant.
On a spur of the moment celebration we decided to go to Buca on a Tuesday night. Consistently fun experience, great food and our server was fantastic. We nailed the shared portions and assembled a really good table share. Good night.
Had to wait almost an hour after reservation time. Many others coming in after us were seated first. Then we ordered immediately but it took another hour for the food.
Our server was wonderful!!!
