Our server, whom I believe was named Megan, was outstanding. This was my first visit & I would definitely return. As our visit was during COVID, the restaurant was quiet, very clean & so nice. The food was delicious!!

Not enough servers for the tables. Our server was being pulled in many directions because he had too many tables to serve. However, he was friendly and as attentive as he could considering what was being asked of him

We ate outdoors but the experience could not have been better. Leo was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of while he also took care of patrons inside. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff made our daughter feel special. With all of the restrictions in the restaurant world, we still had a great time. Thank you Leo!!!

Restaurant was not busy, but we waited 20 minutes before being waited on. We ordered everything at once and got our drinks relatively quick, but waited another 20 minutes for our salad. After eating salad, our entree took another 25 minutes to arrive. All in, our meal took an hour and a half for salad and entree. We indicated at time of reservation that this was a birthday celebration, but nothing was mentioned. I’m hoping this is a one time occurrence, because we usually receive great service.

This was probably our best visit to Buca. We’ve found that this location in Wheeling is better than Lombard. Even on Valentine’s Day when we waited over an hour for our reservation, the food was great. Everything we had this visit was incredible too!

The wait was insane. We waited over an hour for our reservation because “open table” allows overbooking. The location needs to be trained on how to block reservations (even I know how to do it).
Otherwise, the food was good, the waiter was good, the price for the valentines meal was incredible.
They seemed very unprepared for Valentine’s Day - hoards of people packed in the hallways waiting 30-45 minutes past their reservation times for a table. Once we got to our table the experience was good.
Reservations were made for 6:30 we weren't seated until after 7. We promptly ordered our food and did not get served until 8:30. This was our first time there, needless to say I will kot return

We made a res for 6:30pm but they over booked and we didn't get seated till almost 720pm. The food was not cooked all the way and was very soupy. This location suck

Huge portions! Great service! Loved the Sunday family dinner special for $36. It included a large Italian salad, ~12 pieces of garlic bread, a giant rigatoni platter, 4 large meatballs, & 3 large spicy Italian sausages! The 3 of us could not eat all of it. We took home enough for another family dinner the next day!
It’s been awhile since we’ve been to Buca. Not sure why. We will definitely be back much sooner the next time!

Large portions, but the food, with some exceptions, is just ok. Probably ok to have a quick family dinner if in a pinch, but nothing more. The interesting part is the decor of the place - some very entertaining pictures and memorabilia on the walls. Overall average.
The food was very good. We had the Ziti and it tasted great. The portion was big enough for 3 big enough for 3.

Our server Shelly was awesome. However, the food that we have ordered in the past was fine this time but not great as usual. Very disappointing and for those prices we kinda except better. I guess every kitchen has an off day. Or at least that’s we are hoping. Might be awhile for us to consider returning.

RESERVATIONS MADE ON OPEN TABLE -
OUR RESERVATIONS WERE NOT HONORED AND WERE TOLD WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT AN HOUR.
THEN WE HAD NO WAY OF RESERVING ANOTHER RESTAURANT ON OPEN TABLE AND ASKED TO CALL RESTAURANT TO CANCLE - restaurant did not answer phone... so our evening was tanked.

We went on Christmas Day - made a 5:15 reservation , they were way overbooked and eventually got seated at 6::00 way past our reservation . Our server was very good

Went on Christmas Day. We had to wait, which is understandable, even with a reservation. We all enjoyed the variety, something for everyone. Pepperoni pizza was surprisingly good! Great Italian spicy sausage. Husband, who is Italian, really enjoyed everything. We would book it again for Christmas if our usual plans at family residence don’t work out.

At8:45pm, It wasn't busy at all. but host took us right next table for birthday party. kid are crazy and parent didn't care. We finally asked server to move. Busboy tried to took our dish which we were still working on it. everyone work there are rude or doesn't think.
Our service should have been much better than what you received. Please know that we will address this with our team and will do our best to make this an isolated experience. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback!
Prices are ridiculous! They explain one meal feeds three people but that means we have to eat the same thing! 33$ for eggplant parm? Absurd! Won’t be back!

I believe the food is tasty. We particularly like several of the chicken dishes. But I must say a chicken breast is usually twice as large as a serving at Buca, and when six small pieces of chicken costs $45 – and if you don't have a $20 coupon – a cost of the dinner is getting overly expensive. Leo is a great server as are most of the more experienced servers in the Wheeling location, but the food can be costly!

Simply not worth it for the value. We were a party of three, who ordered salad, meatballs, and pasta, and paid over $100. The food was good enough, but given the large number of Italian restaurants in the area—including ones superior to this one—I would recommend against going here.

We were appalled that we had to wait to be seated. We had 6:45 reservations. We arrived (our entire party) at 6:35. She told us that since our reservations were at 6:45 there might be a wait. Two people tried to seat us, but the host told them both that our reservations weren’t until 6:45. It was obvious to everyone that our table had been ready for us. Then we were seated by a group of 8 loud and vulgar men. We were there for my 8 year olds birthday. My brother had to go and ask them men to stop swearing. This was the worse experience we’ve had at this restaurant since we’ve started dining there.
