Good place for a large group and is very kid friendly.
Haven't been here in years. Forgot how much food you get. Great deal, great tasting food.
We and our friends had a nice dinner at Buca di Beppo in Westlake last Sunday evening. We were seated promptly for our 6:15 PM reservation and our server arrived immediately, taking our drink orders, telling us specials and answered questions about the menu. When she returned with our drinks, we ordered our dinners and enjoyed the bread and dipping olive oil the server brought with the drinks. Our shared salad arrived shortly thereafter, followed by our dinners once we finished the salad. The food was excellent and our server took very good care of us. We look forward to our next dinner at Buca in the near future. Thank you!
I love the atmosphere and spaghetti. And anti pasta salad. We always have a great meal.
Christmas dinner after a long flight. The food was very good and the service was great.
Good food and service despite the restaurant being very busy for Xmas dinner.
We froze was ice cold food was cold will not come back!!
Went for Christmas day lunch, had excellent service, with friendly staff. Portions are huge, when they say a large portion can feed up to five people, they mean it. It seems a bit pricey at first, but when you see how much food you get, it's reasonable. Defiantly will be going back.
Mother's 90th birthday, food and service were excellent. Noise level too high, but Allyson resolved that for us. Very enjoyable experience , overall.
We went to Buca with our extended family and were very disappointed with the food, with the service, and very surprised at how expensive it was. Will never go back.
Enjoyed traditional Thanksgiving dinner with my father. The food was terrific, particularly the turkey, dressing, garlic mashed potatoes, and gravy — ample amount of food and outstanding flavor! Green beans were slightly undercooked, the cranberry sauce and bread were fine. The dessert was pumpkin pie with no substitution, and was reportedly edible but not of the caliber of the dinner.
Ultimately, our experience at Buca was pretty much the nice meal that I would expect from Buca, except that I took the time to note in my reservation that it was my mother's birthday, and that I would like them to come out and sing to her without me having to say something in front of her (you know, as a surprise). We ordered dessert, and we waited, and the candleabra never came out, and no songs were sung. It was a disappointment to me. By the time I realized they were not going to honor the note on my reservation, it would have been silly to ask for it. I had just wanted to avoid awkwardly going to the bathroom so I could tell the server that it was mom's birthday - not right in front of her. If you're going to take reservations, and allow for requests on the reservation, it's important that the host staff read them and then make sure the server gets the memo. It was not the most festive birthday dinner.
Great food never disappointed great service too fun road trip for us!
Our veal parmigiana was wonderful, and cheesy. Our ravioli with meat sauce had chunks of meat on top. Bread was fresh and everything was delightful.
Clean, fast and easy;)
We love this place! Always feels like going home. Love the food. Love the servers. Love the décor. Wonderful place!
We had a nice dinner at Buca this past weekend with friends. The food, as always, was delicious and the portions were generous to say the least! Service was decent, but rather slow compared to previous visits even though the restaurant was not very busy. Nonetheless, we will be back again for another tasty and fun dining experience.
Kind of run of the mill Italian food, which isn't glowing I know, but if your family can share a dish, the price is ideal. We normally get the small baked ziti which is enough for my wife and me to share and still have some for leftovers the next day. My kids order of children's menu. We normally spend maybe $65-75 for family of four and end up with lunch for 4 the next day, so it works out to between $8-$10 a person for 8 servings. Good value.
Not sure why they don't serve pasta with the chicken parm, which seems standard at every other Italian place I've been to.
Atmosphere is pretty campy-Italian. Service is solid, waitresses know the menu and are attentive. Sometimes you need reservations, sometimes you don't.
Good place for an "I don't feel like cooking" dinner out with the kids.
Great Fathers Day night out with my family of five.
It was terrible service because it was busy due to Mothers Day! The food was cold and server was clueless! I didn't complain because I wanted to get out of there and every table around us was complaining '
The Pope's table was tremendous for our family! Excellent service.
The host acknowledged our reservation and seated us in the bar area even though they were told ahead of time we were there for a birthday celebration. It was very noisy and right by the kitchen door. Food was good. The placemat talked about reasons to celebrate a birthday at Bucca di Beppo but they did nothing to make the meal special for my daughter even though we mentioned to the waitress that it was my daughter's birthday. The worst part is that I later received an email stating that 15 minutes after our arrival the restaurant cancelled our reservation through Open Table. I called the restaurant and they said there's nothing they can do. Avoid this restaurant.
Saturday night: Reserved table for 6 w OpenTable about an hour prior. Came to the restaurant 15 minutes prior to reservation and they had to scramble to get us a seat as if they didn't really have capacity for the reservation they allowed to happen. Finally got seated 10 minutes after reservation I.e. 25 minutes wait.
It was super crowded and busy. Server asked if we were celebrating a special occasion on her first visit to the table; told her it was my birthday and she wrote that down. Seems they had lots of prom and wedding business. It was loud. There were long waits for food but they kept complimentary bread coming. The server was rushed and ran off immediately before you could ask for anything more than a single item at a time.
Lastly I had a birthday mailer coupon that implied I'd receive a complimentary slice of cassata cake in addition to $20 discount off of $40 purchase. I had to awkwardly ask if dessert was complimentary 4 times before she finally told me we'd have to buy the cake (after spending net $140 on 3 courses and alcohol). Come on, throw in a slice of cake and tone deaf happy birthday singing.
Overall disappointed in my birthday experience. I won't be back for quite some time til the bitterness subsides.
Nice family night out
We were have a family dinner! Everything was great!
We had a lovely dinner at Buca last Sunday for Easter. We enjoyed the clam linquini with the antipasto salad. We ordered a carafe of the sangria and it was delicious--our first time to order this refreshing wine and won't be our last! Our server was courteous and our food was served promptly. We always enjoy our dinners at Buca and look forward to our next dining experience there. Thank you!
It's my favorite restaurant. Great food great services. Big portions
Food tastes great. We had spaghetti and meatballs, baked ziti, penne pasta and baked shells. We had lots of leftovers. Enough for 2 days. Pay attention to serving size, it is acurate. The baked shells and spaghetti was the best!
Very good experience.
We had a nice evening of dining. The calamari was too breaded and crunchy. Taste food.
