Nice ambience and decor. Staff is friendly and accommodating! Food was nice portions for sharing! Definitely coming back.
Went here after a Broadway show for early dinner did not realize it was family style. But we did manage to order ordered a salad chicken parmesan and pasta dish. There were three of us salad was decent good dressing, chicken was overcooked very dry pasta was lacking extra sauce also dry. We were not given plates for our main course we had to eat from our salad plates we were told that's the way they do it. So in conclusion I would not recommend this place
It wasn’t clear at first where the restaurant was located, as it required an elevator ride to the third floor (it shares a front entrance with Planet Hollywood). The ambience is a bit dark with many items hanging in the wall, but seemingly common for many Italian themed restaurants. The waiter was very attentive and quickly /clearly explained that they only serve family style. The choices include small (serves 3- more like 4or 5) or Large( serves many). The pasta was perfectly cooked. The red sauce was balanced. Great experience overall.
We were excited to go here from a friend’s recommendation. Our friend loves it. The prices were high and the food wasn’t our complete favorite. It’s good to try new places though.
Ordered spicy chicken pasta with peas, it was horrible! The chicken was dry and tough, the pasta was way too spicy and there were no peas!! Will definitely not go there again!
We shared the anti-pasta salad which was very large for two people and very tasty. We also split the chicken Parmesan which was a huge dish and we brought some home. The olive oil for dipping the bread is very delicious. my only complaint is that there was a large party of youngsters in a small dining room and it made for a quite a bit of noise. I guess you could ask for a quieter section.
I had the Frutti di Mar pasta and it was quite good, plenty of seafood eg shrimp, calamari, mussels, a bit spicy and flavorful. We asked for extra sauce and the restaurant provided it. The next table saw what we had and ordered the same thing. The service was excellent. I enjoy dining here on a regular basis.
Nice and honest servings. Best deal for your buck if you are with a party of 3 or more.
Food was extremely bland and soggy, almost like it was microwaved. Kitchen "accidently" threw out the appitizer item that we wanted wrapped. Waiter was nice. Overall I would go somewhere else.
We really enjoyed our visit to Buca. The Chicken Parm was prepared perfectly. Our server, Ray was friendly, polite and efficient. We also met one of the managers on duty who checked in to make sure everything was right. This is a nice touch and gives a big restaurant in the heart of Times Square a warm local touch. We are regular customers so we will be back again soon.
We were 3 for dinner, and every dish was superb. We had plenty to take home too.
We ate the spaghetti and meatballs. Food was good but it could have been seasoned more. A little bit more garlic would have done it. Service was great. We were seated quickly and the food came out right away. Our server Maria was very nice and attentive.
Lasagna was terrible, pizza very small (in Europe this is for 1 person) was ok, tiramisu was more cheesecake than tiramisu.
Nice place though, on third floor, with no windows.
For the food would not recommend it at all.
Maybe ok when you are with a group
ambiente finto italiano, servizio veloce, costo contenuto ma qualità bassa.
Had a pizza and lasagna. The pizza a little burned and the lasagna pasta overcooked.
I think my grandchildren would love this restaurant, the ambiance, the quantities and the style lend themselves to family dining.
Very poor service from the start. Nobody greeted us and many staff just left us standing at the desk . There was no queue no urgency or even an hello! Drinks order arrived when the meal had started even though it was ordered on seating a good 15/20 minutes prior. The answer given was that there was only one bar staff..so id hate to be there when it was even a quarter full. Totally the wrong impression fron the pictures and blurb on advertising. It felt cut off, no windows, no atmosphere. Incredibly diasppointing for New York City!
Très bon restaurant Italien.
We had a waitress named Maria and she had terrible attitude and customer service. She kept forgetting our table, she was very rude. I never leave feedback or reviews. But this was the worst experience at the restaurant I’ve ever had.
This restaurant is certainly a bargain but the food is only fair, and the service is slow. However the quantity of food for the price is incredible. You can definitely feed a crowd on a budget.
Pizza was amazing. Bread and salad we're delicious. Would make the Mac and cheese a bit cheesier. It was a little dry.
Personalized service. Late dinner and I’m sure they were ready to close and go home but they never rushed us and made us feel welcomed. Food was excellent! Ambience was also nice. Felt like visiting old friends and family although this was our first time.
If you are dining with family or a large group of friends, Buca di Beppo is perfect. Family style dining. Large portions and flavorful food...you can't beat it! Cheers!
Everything was great! Food was delicious and we enjoyed the sharing experience. Service was also excellent and we will definitely be back!
Buca di Beppo is a chain of family style Italian restaurants. The portions are plentiful and the quality excellent. Given that this restaurant is in the heart of Times Square the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Buca di Beppo Times Square.
Its was wonderful
Not impressed- The appetizer was brought with the entree, & when I asked why the waiter said- oh I thought that's what you wanted. Really ? Is that common ? How about asking ? The Calamari was very over-fried and not hot. It was $21 because it was supposed to be enough for 3 people - I've had way better Calamari in a larger portion for a lot less money. The Cannelloni was also not very hot, & it was insanely salty. We decided to try to salvage the meal with dessert. Every dessert is $18 because it is supposed to feed 3. We ordered the Brownie Sunday which was pretty good, but it was enough for 6 people. Why not offer a smaller version for less money ? Overall, not the worst, but certainly not recommended.
Our server was so very nice and food not so much. The Chucken Pargiana was not bad but spaghetti and meatballs was not so good and the shrimp dish was incredibly bland. Staff is the best thing out of this place.
I love this place! They never dissapoint! Nothing like family dinner with friends at Buca!
Decent food but no utensils at the table, no water refills
Souper avant spectacle
Great service and food was delicious
Group 11 adults after fundraising event
Good food, great price and friendly service!
This was my third time to Bucca. Our first time was fantastic, loved our meal and staff was great. Second time we had a grumpy waiter but the food was good, not great, but good.
This round our waiter was super nice, but from the appetizers to entrees, the food was not passable. We sent two items back and the bill was still $107 for a meal for 3 people (two entrees) and no alcohol.
It has a fun environ but food was mediocre at best
Our server, Nahib, was really great. He made the meal excellent. Will be back.
Pre theater birthday dinner for a party of 8
Very nice and friendly.
