We had a great Mother’s Day dinner, great food and great service!
Expected busy rush for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately, food was Cold.
Everyone was nice and pleasant. Food came out In good time and our server was awesome. Even the photographer came around and she was super nice.
Buca di Beppo raised the prices of their meals substantially. It still is a great value, but not as good as it use to be.
Great food and top notch service . A favorite of our Italian family for more than 15 years at this location. GM Gerardo always makes guests feel at home. Ryan is a fantastic server on every occasion we visit. Top notch all the way !
Our server, Nick was exceptional and made the whole experience top notch. We redeemed a generous coupon and the meal was a great bargain. All of the food was perfectly prepared and ample
We had a large group of 16 people to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I made the reservation 2 weeks in advance. The way the tables were conjoined were awkward for everyone to sit together. I would have expected a different option.
Our waitress was attentive but the main course took 45 mins to arrive at the table.
The food was tasty but there should be more vegan with gluten free/ dairy free options. They do have a vegetarian menu and a gluten free menu but nothing together to suit all dietary needs.
The staff were very festive in singing “happy birthday “ which was greatly enjoyed.
We still had to wait 25 minutes to be seated.
Our waitress was MIA (at our table only) after the food arrived. Other servers had to help with refills and boxes and even bringing the check.
always consistent and great quality. Like a visit to Nona’s !
Wouldn’t go again
Food was delicious and big proportions for our big party. Service was outstanding by our waiter (Oscar). Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait to be seated after some time (15-20min). It was a busy night. Overall, enjoyed our experience.
Great sized portions. Service was attentive and friendly despite the fact that they forgot an important detail in our birthday party. Being a themed place I thought the ambiance and decor were great.
Prices are high, $33 for three pieces of chicken is ridiculous. And the waitress kept "forgetting" her tables
Our table lacked attention. A smile goes a long way as a waiter.
Wasn’t a good experience the wait staff seemed inexperienced and not prepared to handle a table of nine! We had to constantly ask for things. We won’t be going back!
Fantastic Italian food and fun as always.. Thanks to Mgr. Gerardo and staff for a great afternoon, just like the old days at home !
Great atmosphere and service. Food a bit too bland and the prices are not a deal but strategic ordering can help. Lots of fun and very upbeat experience!
Family had a great time as always. Lots of leftovers which is good!!
I made a 7 pm reservation and we showed up on time only to be told by a rude hostess that “Open Table is not a firm reservation but a window of time where you will get seated as soon as possible”. I had never heard this before. We waited 50 minutes to be seated. That is inexcusable. Our waiter was kind and took our orders but never filled our water glasses again after seating us. He was busy. Overall, because of the difficulty with the reservation and the hostess being rude, we probably won’t ever go back..
Excellent food and great service. Our server - Ben- was fantastic. Thank You. Cheers!!
The restaurant overbooked reservations and their wasn't enough staff. Service was lousy!
Manager Gerardo and staff do a wonderful job. Great food, great service and great fun. Out favorite restauarant in Thousand Oaks for lunch , dinner and special events, year round !
We were there on Christmas eve and had a reservation for four at 6pm. We got to our table within 5 minutes which was great considering it was very busy. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food was fair to good, no real issues, just average. The noise level was very loud, and the room we were in was hot, not warm! That took away from the overall experience. Upon leaving, I mentioned this to a man who was wearing a black shirt, had a beard and glasses. He said "we are very busy, packed, and that was issue due to the number of people in the place. I have to disagree, maybe I don't know the restaurant business, but, HVAC, is very important, and adds or detracts from the experience. Just like to you need to plan enough servers to handle the expected workload, the physical comfort of patrons is equally as important.
Great food. Huge portions even with the “small” plate options. Pretty pricey though.
Eric, thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback about your visit as we always seek to improve our guests' experience. We hope to see you again soon!
Large family style portions. We got the Gorgonzola salad with apples and it’s always tasty and large so if you are 2 people expect to take some home. We also got a pasta with shrimp dish and they were very generous with the shrimp. The dish was good but a little bland. We also took some home.
The service was good and staff was friendly.
Bartender made our martinis just right. The pasta was a bit too spicy for me. The team added more marinara sauce and that helped. The pizza was yummy!
Our server Victor made the evening. He was nice, made good suggestions, and was very attentive without hovering. Will ask for his section when we return.
We ordered meals for our two young boys immediately after sitting down, as they were pretty hungry. Our appetizer and then our adult meals came out before their's. Turns out the kitchen dropped their order and had to quickly make them (the wait is hard with young kids who are hungry). We were disappointed, but understood this happens. Our server was really nice and apologized. However, it would have been nice if the manager came to apologize or something. We mentioned our disappointment when the bill came and our server then went and talked to the manager, who then removed their meals from the bill. We appreciated this, but were surprised this wasn't offered previously. The food is good, but it always so expensive in the end.
Always delicious and great service
Birthday party for my daughter. Waiters were great!
The usual fun looking restaurant with decent food. Price is a little high for what you get. Overall, a good bet for casual dining.
Celebrating daughters graduation. Everything about our experience was perfect! Setting the reservations was easy, the food was amazing, and our service was wonderful!!! Thank you!
Service was good, except we asked for the peppercinis on the side because my wife is sensitive to spice and they were still chopped up and in the salad. The carbonara was on the bland side.
Really good food and service and very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get
Normally we enjoy this restaurant very much, but this last time was not great. The waiter came immediately and asked for our order and didn't give us any time, so we asked for a few minutes and he returned 20 minutes later, truly, we timed it, because he kept walking past us seeing that we were ready and still ignored us, like he was annoyed that we didn't order when he was ready. The female waitress even came up to us and said, " haven't you ordered yet"? The people next to us who got their menus from the other waitress same time as us, had already received their food and we were still waiting to order. We have never had service like that before, also I had ordered the Chicken Limone for lunch, and I believe it was 15.00, the chicken was so small and tiny, absolutely a very poor value, but it was good.
We had a large family event (ages 1-85) and everything turned out fantastic. The servers were top-notch and attended to every guest, making sure we had plenty of water and beverages. They gave us a time estimate for bringing the food out so I could plan the group games and gift opening. They were accurate and the food was delicious. I would definitely hold another event here.
We came to celebrate Mother’s Day with the family!
I rated overall 4 starts because we had to wait a long period of time to be seated when no one else was waiting for a table. Overall the food and service was good.
Improvement needed for the hostess service.
Mother’s Day lunch for 8 was nice. After 3 of us did limoncello shots, We ordered the Quattro al Forno (just ok, too much of the same type of food), Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, always delish, Veal Marsala (like shoe leather - sent back for a Chicken Marsala which came late and was just ok), and an apple salad. We also had the brownie sundae which was yummy. Service was great, the manager was fantastic and removed the Marsala from the bill. But even though Buca is family style, and I really like the food I like there, I would rather go with just my wife and get only what I know we like.
The only reason it was on the noisier side was because we ate at the kitchen table. The other times we’ve been there everything was just as good and the Noise level and energy was good Never a bad experience
Daughter’s college graduation
