Family together for Spring Break
We had our soccer team in for a meal. Summer was our superhero making sure drinks were full and everyone was happy.
Food was terrible. That served us burnt eggplant parmigiana and tried to cover it up with more sauce. Service was more than poor and we gave are credit card and the assistant manager took over ten minutes to complete payment of our horrible meal. I finally went looking for our card and she is just standing in
the kitchen I asked about my card and she blamed the manager. We will never go back to
This restaurant even for free meal. We eat out at least four days a week. This was the poorest experience and the worst food we have encountered
I would have ranked it lower if I could
I hope that my credit card information was safe
Due to the length that they had my card
We where there to celebrate a birthday but felt very rushed - I guess we picked a busy night. Not sure we would celebrate a birthday there again. We have been there others times and had a more relax celebration.
Great meal with family for a birthday. Great service!!Thank you
The waitress was excellent, the ambiance was eclectic and the food was pretty good
They were out of the wine we like. Advised we were celebrating a birthday but they didn’t do anything special.
Very few people in the restaurant, a reflection of the poor food and lack of good wine
Eggplant Parmesan and the Gorgonzola Salad were delicious as usually BUT the salad had some bad apples in it that were turning dark.
We heard a manager badgering our waitress and commenting on her performance in front of customers. That’s horrible management and we were very disappointed to hear that.
The food was excellent as usual. The hostess was unfriendly tho. We’ve had better receptions in the past. The waiter took very good care of us and made up for the cold reception.
We ordered the spaghetti with 3 meatballs on the side, I forgot how big the meatballs were, (baseball size) needless to say we had enough leftovers for 2 more meals. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us lots of bread.
Buca is a fun place, just be prepared for noise. We were seated next to a table of 15 (a family) and they could drown out the noise at DFW Airport. It's an Italian place, so I suppose I should expect "mobs", but this is not the place to propose or break up - unless you want assistance. That said, the staff is great, the food is great, service didn't suffer from being seated next to a huge group, and we never felt rushed - on a Saturday night. I love this place. Just beware, I'm not the only one.
It was my daughter’s 21st Birthday & we were there to celebrate. We were seated pretty quickly. However, after arriving, another party of 8 was also seated in the same small dining area. They were very rude blowing straw wrappers at us & laughing as if they were 12. They were also VERY loud!!! The dining area was very hot and we were sweating. & unable to eat our food. Our server seemed extremely overwhelmed, although she tried. Our order was taken but part of it was wrong when brought to the table. The white sangria tasted like a bottle of wine poured over ice... not pleasant at all. I told the waitress it was my daughters Birthday but she was not sang too, nor was a dessert brought to her. We have been to Buca many times & this was the worst. It is very expensive & we only go for special occasions. After tonight, we will not be going back. Very disappointed!!!!
Our waitress was terrible. We sat with no water, didn’t bring appetizer, just terrible service.
We used to love this place but it has gotten so dirty, is outdated, twilight-zone service on New Year's Eve family dinner. At 4:15 pm they were obviously under-staffed and had sub par servers working, not to mention hostess non existent....had to literally walk in to kitchen to flag down someone since there were multiple families in lobby waiting to be greated/sat. From now on I am pretty sure we will be a take-out family since their food is great, but the place itself needs some TLC. Oh, and cheesy garlic bread is always our favorite in town, but this time came out so hard and tasteless. We didn't even let our server know since she could barely handle the few tables she had (we were party of 3). We just sucked it up and wasted $9. OH well.
The service was not great. I felt like maybe we had been assigned a server who had a different section because it seemed we were a last thought. We had to ask two other servers for drinks and silverware.
Went here last Christmas as well. Always a great experience . They’re busy and seating takes a while , but it’s Christmas . Food is awesome .
The bar was out of 3 different wines we ordered. The service was slow and the tables next to us were never bussed. We were surrounded by stacked dirty dinner plates all night. Generally the place was dirty and loud.
Christmas Eve Dinner
The restaurant seemed understaffed, and had trouble getting us seated on time. Food was great as usual, and I attribute the challenges they seemed to have with holiday rush, and won’t hesitate to go back for another meal.
The food is always great and the service is typically very good. Been here many times and it seems that we are always sitting next to a large group. Then it makes it difficult to have a conversation with your party without screaming and it takes away from the service at the table.
If you are going with a group it is an amazing place though. Always have had a good time even with the loud atmosphere.
We go to Buca’s because it’s easy & we aren’t terribly familiar with the area. I always make excuses for it, but no more. We had a 7:30 reservation & arrived at about 7:20. There was no one else in the lobby when we checked in but it quickly filled up with other diners who had reservations. It took us at least 20 minutes to be seated, due largely in part to the hostesses incompetence. Mass confusion is the best way to describe it. Without going into too much detail about our night...slow to be seated, slow to get drinks, slow to take our order, below average & over priced food. I’m not doing it anymore. I’ll find somewhere else to spend my money.
Our waitress was great, the service took too long... the restaurant was a zoo and too loud.. and then they tried to clAim we didn't honor our reservation... we were there.
It wasn't a good experience
This is my sons favorite restaurant so we have to come back
We were seated an hour after our reservation time. They were busy, but still what’s the point of having a reservation? The crazy thing is almost all of the section we sat in was empty when we were seated and barely anyone was leaving as we waited. They were either terribly fort staffed or just doing a poor job running the restaurant. Food was meh. We were seated an hour after our reservation time. This was where my husband and I had our first date. We go back when we can but it holds a very special place in our lives in December.
Never going again, and very dissappointed. We got a Cesar salad, which was great, some meat balls, that were edible but were served in a bland canned sauce, and then we got a pasta. It was so bad, i asked for the check right away, because I didn’t know how to tell the waitress that the pasta was unedible and terrible. The noodles were gummy, the sauce was sour and watery, and the chicken was boiled and bland too. I really wanted to like it, but it was bad. Our server was sweet, but don’t eat here.
We decided to eat here for thanksgiving dinner. We were a party of seven and were initially sat at a table for six with and extra chair hanging into the path to the kitchen. After three people came back we were moved to another table that was adequate. Since the restaurant is family style we ordered apps and salad to start. The bruschetta was served with crostini that tasted more like croutons they were so overly toasted. Also the topping being set in th glass had the unfortunate result of a bland serving of chopped tomatoes with very little else. The fried mozzarella was good. Caesar salad was good and one large bowl fed all seven of us.
I ordered entree’s at the same time. Spaghetti with meatballs, fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parm, chicken limon, and eggplant parm. We waited about 20-25 minutes after we finished apps and salad to receive our entré. It was then brought and the chicken limon had been dropped. That took another ten minutes. Needless to say by the time our meal came most people had little interest in eating as our initial food settled.
Our waitress was good and kept glasses full and checked on us. It would have been nice if she acknowledged the wait for our main meal. We took most of it home.
I was also disappointed to hear they don’t have a military discount available.
The food was great as usual however, the table was under the air vent and it freezing cold. There were large tables near us that consumed the waitresses time at the exclusion of our table.
Was extremely disappointed with the meal and overall experience. Had to send back the calamari because it was lukewarm, soft and gummy. It was replaced, but not much better. The fried cheese tasted burned. The main dishes (pasta) took a very long time to arrive. Once our main dishes (pasta) arrived, they were at best lukewarm. It appeared that they sat under a heat lamp for quite some time. Wrapped up the meal with the incorrect tab. We have dined here before and yesterday proved to be a very disappointing dining experience. Doubt we will return.
Took the family here for dinner. I haven’t been in about 2-3 years. My memory of this place clearly was different than reality. The food was extremely bland if not gross. We ordered a few different entrees and I can’t tell you that any of them were even “okay.” The meatballs were dry. Chicken Marsala tasted like you were eating a bag of sugar. Mashed potatoes were dry. Just overall all a crappy meal.
Great place for family dining
They gave our table away to a party of three that walked in after we had a reservation
Then they put us in the bar, we were the one table that was ignored.... everyone around us got great service
We were the last table to get our meals
And dessert took forever
Made reserves for 14 people for a birthday party. Food came out in phases and we did not complete the dinner for 2.5 hours.
We went for a birthday dinner on a week night. There were very few diners in the restaurant, but the wait time for our food was excessive. The waiter noted that they had several large to-go orders that were a challenge for the small kitchen staff, which led to the long wait time for those who were dining at the restaurant. No offer was made to make up for the wait time (i.e., a free appetizer or dessert). No birthday dessert to make the occasion special. Just order from the menu as usual. Costly for the type and quality of food served.
Awesome. Great service and wonderful food. A lot of food for 2 people, we took quite a bit home.
Took my parents here to celebrate their 43rd Anniversary. Food was good, service was good, noise level a little high due to some noisy neighbors at the next table, but overall a great experience!
We had Sarah as our server and she was fantastic, friendly and very good with our daughters. She made the evening out much more enjoyable by making us feel welcome!
It was an awesome lunch experience. The service and food were excellent.
Birthday dinner food was average but nice place
