Although I have been to the restaurant in Lynnwood, WA, previously, this was my first visit to the Seattle location. The physical layout of the restaurants is identical and welcoming. I have my favorite menu items (the chopped salad and cheese bread--yum!) but also enjoyed a seasonal entree on this visit. The only complaint my children had was that the side dish of broccoli tasted more Asian than Italian due to the red peppers in the dish. (I did not personally taste the dish.)
I'm not certain what the usual accessibility and parking situation are for the Seattle location; however, due to road construction detours, it was a little more difficult to drive to the restaurant and then the parking was somewhat limited.
Food and portion sizes are great! Staff is fun and energetic.
We visit 2 or 3 times a year, mainly when we have guests in town. It's a great place for groups and kid-friendly.
Always a fun time. Yummy food served family style. Large portions - luckily the staff packages take-home boxes very well.
Really enjoyed our experience and water made our time special by singing to my grandma for her birthday!
Knew what to expect, and Buc a delivered. Always a good resort in a new city. The meatballs are fantastic.
Chicken carbonara is amazing. Always will go back for it. Waiter was not as enthusiastic as others around our table were. My wife received a birthday dessert coupon via email that would not print. She emailed tech support three days before we were scheduled to go and the issue was never resolved so we went anyway for her birthday but she didn't get anything special. Waiter said they could sing but that was all he offered. Very disappointing.
Poor service all around. Waited 15 minutes past reservation time; then had to remind waiter to bring bread. Reason for delay was he had to wait for the kitchen to slice it, odd since while we were waiting my son was entertained by watching the open kitchen make and slice bread. Then there was a long delay in brining out food, not brought to table until about 1 hour after we sat down; another waiter did comp us our appetizer for free, our waiter had disappeared, reappeared to collect the bill. Then a long 15 minute wait again, before reappearing with my credit card and the receipt. Easy walk to this place from the hotel, but easier to keep walking and find a place that cares about it's customers.
This is a very fun restaurant for groups, serving things family style. However, the food is not impressive. It is not bad food, but nothing special.
First visit to Beppo. So delicious. Great service.
Versital atmosphere, comfortabe for family, or easily romantic with Italian flare. Food was robust and flavorful. Had the feel of real Italy, having lived there for three years, I have missed that. This was our first visit, we will most certainly be back.
When we arrived we had to wait awhile for the host to even come and the once he finally did all he said (in not a warm way) "reservations" and that was it! Then we sat at our table for 17 min until the server greeted us & then it took another 5 min or so to get our drinks. I noticed that the front desk may have over sat our server, but our server seem to only have one speed and that was slow. We all enjoyed the food, but based on overall service I would have to rethink about coming back :(
As expected - large portions of good homey food.
We went for my son's birthday with a large group and were treated very well. Great service and lots of fun!
My first time at Buca was for fathers day 2012 and I have to say, from the service to the food it was amazing and I will definitely be back!
Asked about the free appetizer coupon, was told they were not a member and would not honor it. The food was good but my granny smith apples in my salad still had the sticker on them. I told our server, who said he would tell the chef.
They were out of Prosecco and pepperoncinis. I've never been to a restaurant that was out of items, so this was surprising. We kept having to ask for bread at our table when other tables who arrived later than us got theirs before us. The timing of the food was off - our pizzas arrived about 7 minutes before the pasta, so the person who ordered the pasta had to wait and watch us eat.
My son requested a laid back and fun resturant for his post graduation dinner.Buca di Beppo delivered. The food was all good and easy for everyone to enjoy, the place is entertaining with all the interesting photos, and our server was EXCELLENT. (Not something I can report often in the Seattle area!) Thumbs up all the way around. Thank you!
Food and service was excellent.
It was the first time my boyfriend or I had ever been to Buca. I was told to try it from a few people and oh my!. it's got so much character!!! It was entirely unique and fun. we both LOVE Italian food so we were ready to be impressed and we really were. everything we had was so fresh and delicious. DEFINATELY a food lover's paradise. Our waiter was friendly and happy to suggest favorites which was really helpful. One thing to know before going tho...the dishes are designed to share. Could be considered a little pricey but totally worth it for as much food as you get. (we shared a small order of chicken parm. and were stuffed). If you're looking for a new favorite place in Seattle, go here! got to be my favorite now.
I love the food and the scenery of this place. Although I've noticed the staff seeming a little unorganized and sometimes unprofessional every time I've been here, they're always very polite, and they make you feel welcome and even at home. The bigger the party, the better, and the food, dessert, and drinks are amazing. I know I'll choose this place for my future parties and get-togethers.
As far as chains go, this one is pretty decent. With the family style menus and big tables, this place was designed for large groups. The food is good and the service is friendly and efficient. I think the large groups give it a lively atmosphere. It's a fun place for kids because it's laid back and fairly noisy, with lots of distractions on the walls!
Great place to eat with friends. Love the food and happy atmosphere.
Great servers. Big portions. Great for venues. We had ~16 people and they fit perfectly.
THE FOOD AS ALWAYS IS DELIGHTFUL. I AM A REPEAT CUSTOMER AND EACH TIME I BRING NEW GUESTS THEY BECOME CUSTOMERS. THE ATMOSPHERE AND SURROUNDINGS ARE FUN. THE ONLY NEGATIVE ON THIS VISIT WAS THE SERVICE; SLOW, AND WATER GLASSES NOT REFILLED WITHOUT REPEATED REQUESTS. HOWEVER I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK.
This was not our first visit, the food and service were excelent as always
We had a fabulous time. Great place for our 18mo & 3 yr old. The table gets a bit crowded thought with the family style eating. And we were sad to find they no longer had their potatoe dumpling dish. would go back again.
My husband and I just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary dinner there and it was the best meal ever!!! I told him that I want to come back for my birthday :)
Great for special occasions and large groups. Faily style dining lends itself to family occasions, so we celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and graduations here. Portions are extremely large and service is fast, so be sure to add-on if you run out, instead of over-indulging -- unless you have a LOT of room for leftovers. The salads (Caesar and chop) are a meal unto themselves, but save room for the pasta (Baked Ziti!). The pizza is thin crust but very authentic Italian. No one I have ever known has done anything but rave over the (gigantic) meatballs. Reserve the Pope Room for a giant lazy Susan and festive experience. This place is hopping during normal meal hours, but is a pleasure at 2 PM on a Sunday afternoon. Salute!
It's a nice family-oriented restaurant with generous portions. Have always had a good meal regardless of location.
Portion sizes were perfect for our hungry teenagers. The food was excellent and exactly what you would expect from a traditional Italian, family-friendly restaurant. We would defintely return to eat here. Reservations a must! Very lively atmosphere. Not the place for a quiet romantic dinner but perfect for a fun and delicious meal with friends and/or family.
Food was great but I found the restaurant to be a bit noisy on our visit. Brooke our waitress was fantastic. Service trumps noise any day.
This is a great, laid back place for dinner with friends and family. It has a very lively and vibrant atmosphere. My friends and I didn't even realize we had spend over two hours there till we noticed we were the only ones left. They were busy but still provided great service.
First time there, it was great ... server was knowledgeable and helpful; portions are enormous, better for larger groups ... lots of choices
Thanks for a fine nght. We came over on Saturday. The server was very friendly but the food for one of our twins came after everybody elses and she was the one we had requested her food first cause she was so hungry.
Had dinner at the Bucca Di Beppo in Minneapolis last year and enjoyed it. Enjoyed the dinner and ambiance in the Seattle restaurant better. Greeting at the front desk was friendly and fast. Were waited on almost immediately and were visited by the cook to check on the quality of the food, which was excellent. My only complaint was the parking, we parked about four blocks away and that turned out OK as we needed the walk after the quantity of food that we ate.
Perfect for a night out with a couple of friends, especially for those heading to prom.
The Past we had was a bit too spicy. (Spicy Rigatoni)
Had previously visited Buca di Beppo in Texas & had just as much fun & good food in Seattle. Portions are large enough for 2; and even though a member of our party has a gluten problem, had a great dinner with the veal saltimbacca. No one left hungry.
Food was awesome, prepared fast and awesome energentic staff very helpful and friendly!! Highly recommended!! I will return :)
