Service was amazing - waitress was friendly. The food wasn’t great. Chicken Parm was lukewarm/cold, the stuffed chicken was watery, pasta was lukewarm, bread was cold. We won’t be back.

The food at Buca is Italian- American. That is not bad if you don't expect too much. The lasagna was good. I noticed on our way out that another couple ha ordered too.

Love the entertaining decor. Love the family style plates for big groups. Staff was very nice and friendly. Wine was good, food was good. Open table reservations saved us as we were on the way to San Diego without a reservation for 9 and Open table found us one quickly and easily from our cell phone. Thank you!!

We dined here and the server was sick. My significant other ended up getting sick after being exposed. I know it is difficult for servers, but come on, stay home when you are sick! Server was very nice, but keep your germs to yourself please!

Got in and out; food was good and plentiful. Wait staff were great. We have been there several times before and will continue to go again.

It was my first time dinning there and the food was delicious. The service was really good as well. We had a good time celebrating my husbands birthday.

We did have a great meal. Our complaint would be that our table was SO close to the one next to us we couldn’t even move our chairs. I had a child in a high chair and the family behind us kept fidgeting and pushing her. We also felt rushed, salad came out and dinner almost immediately not letting us enjoy each course. Our server was polite, but for a Christmas meal-surely could have been a bit better. We brought dessert home, and the cannolis were only half full of cream.

Disappointed to find this was a family-style restaurant since I was with 1 other person. Food was OK, nothing great. They cancelled my Open Table reservation while I was eating which I realized after I left. I called and asked why and they didn’t seem to know that we get points for booking. I guess they are too cheap to pay the service fee. Wouldn’t go back or recommend it!

Great service and food. A bit too noisy for our comfort level but it won't stop us from returning to Buca Di Beppo.

The downtown location of Buca di Beppo was not as tasty nor was the service as good as it had been in Mira Mesa. The chicken saltimboca and the baked rigatoni were great but the stuffed pasta foursome was disappointing as were the brussel sprouts.

A little disappointed with our dinner last night. The food ok nothing spectacular. By the way, if you like a little spice in your food DO NOT order the Spicy Chicken Pasta dish. It’s very spicy. We like spice but we couldn’t eat it. The spaghetti and meatballs were ok but not enough sauce. Our waiter was nice and very helpful but I can’t say the same for the waiter helping the table next to us. Imagine sitting there enjoying your dinner with your spouse and two kids then all of a sudden you can’t hear the conversation at your table but it’s drowned out by a group of 3 loud talking cussing idiots sitting next to you. A few minutes later there was a issue with the food and waiter says, “did you touch any of the food?” No, we didn’t touch it because we didn’t order it, is the response. The waiter walks away and comes back with more bread and says, “hey, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be a Dic%.” Ok, stop. It’s bad enough these adults with no manners are ruining everyone else’s dinner but to have a waiter use vulgar language like that when there are other people sitting right next them and can hear the whole thing! We aren’t at a bar! We are at a family restaurant having dinner with our kids!

I’m giving a bad score not because of the cursing customers but because the waiters should not perpetuate bad behavior by customers.

The entire staff was great. We had reservations for 11 people but had 14. The staff accommodated us and everyone who was working was helpful and friendly.

Great place for a large group. Only one problem... it was very busy and the chef forgot about our pizza. When it arrived at our table it was very burnt, the sauce and pepperonis didn't fill out to the end.

I don't know why they have some strange photos of naked individuals, since this is a family restaurant. All of our young children were distracted by two or three weird photos next to our table. The service was very slow bringing the check to the table, we probably waited 20 minutes just to get the check. The food came quick, and the waiter was great, however.

The food was delicious and the decor was so fun! Family style is the absolute BEST!!!!

The spaghetti lacked flavor. The lemon chicken was very good.. Even though there were not that many people,waiter took long. He should of had bus boy to help pick up and refill the glasses. I wish the waiter would have recommended a pitcher of drinks.

Craving spaghetti & meatballs, best choice is Buca di Beppo. Always consistent, never leave hunger, and you can have leftovers if needed.

Waitress was one of worst I have experienced.
One dinner came out 30 minutes before rest of food.
Seemed dirty. Holiday weekend, ballgame down the street & they seemed totally unprepared Staff wise. They seemed oblivious to how poorly they were doing, so one has to assume a very neophyte staff & management.

Food was awesome as usual but service not so much. I'm not sure if it was because it was late or the amount of people but our waitress kept forgetting our drink orders

We came here with my family after my daughter's baptism. The family style servings were perfect for us. Everything tasted very good. The service was great for our large group.

We left before we even ordered. Terrible ambiance. The head of the pope was in a plastic see through box on one of the tables. Not joking. Don't go.

Everything was outstanding with exception of the room temperature which was cold.
