This whole evening was spoilt by a very rude server. We have eaten here on numerous occasions, and quite honestly we'll continue to do so. It is normally excellent. But I'm being asked to review this one evening, and this one evening was terrible. The manager did everything possible to rectify the situation, and for that we are grateful, but overall it was a very disappointing dining experience, especially as my son had chosen this location for his birthday celebration.
It took a while to settle in. It was unclear if a waitperson was assigned to our table. When we finally corralled a waitress, she was responsive and helpful.
I usually enjoy the food at buca and this visit was no exception
If we had not had that initial problem, my review would be better
Arrived and were taken to a table which was poorly lit, and too cramped, when asked for another setting we were told that "everything was reserved". However we were taken to a second location. We spent 2.5 hours there dining, only to take note that ALL the tables surrounding us which would have accomodated our party remained Empty.! Not acceptable
We had a nice meal and our server was friendly. However, we had an early reservation and there were quite a few servers there and they kept sitting people right on top of where we were. It was unnecessary and definitely distracted from a pleasant night out. Normally we have fabulous experiences but this one was mediocre.
Amazing. Great food. Great service! A++
We always have a good experience here. Prices are a little high for the area because everything is al a carte, but the food is always good.
Had Christmas Dinner here on the way home from the airport. Was a very pleasant experience. Great homey feeling. Had pasta which was delicious.
Poor service. Over priced drinks. Served a drink that was not ordered and it appeared on the bill nonetheless.
Some of the worst Italian food I have ever tasted. Bland, heavy on pasta, light on shrimp, short ribs, etc..
Salad was mostly iceberg lettuce and brown. Outside lights were mostly burned out, restrooms were dirty.
Aweful waiter. Asked for a Bud light, got a Budweiser, and no glass. Asked for a glass - it took 10 minutes and by then the beer was gone. By the way, the waiter did the same thing to the table next to us - they ordered Miller light and he brought Miller. Ordered an appetizer and cheese bread to come before our entree. He brought the appetizer but said he forgot the bread so we had spicy shrimp without bread. Bread finally came out with the entree. Very slow and sloppy service.
My Daughter's birthday celebration.
The food was great from the bread and oil to the shrimp linguini and green beans. The small portion was more than enough for my wife and I. We were seated in the back of the restaurant near two large and loud parties, which diminished our experience some' there were other tables in quieter sections of the restaurant where they could have seated us. The waitress was great; attentive without hovering. Overall a great meal, but I would have preferred better seating away from the big parties and noise to allow us to enjoy our conversation and the outstanding background music.
The lasagna overpass my expectations, house bread is very good and included in the check.
We had a fabulous 20th anniversary celebration in the Pope room. The food was wonderful, our server Kat was wonderful and it was a great evening. Something there for everyone and we ordered quite a few dishes so we know!
Good food near the mall
Always like eating at Buca. But, this time we ordered salad and entree, and half way through eating the salad we were told that the entree we ordered was no longer available. Had to order something else. What we ended up getting was alright, just not what we had our taste buds set for.
Too loud when you seat 3 people in the same room (Wine Room) with a group that had 15 people and when they left, another group of 15 people were seated.
We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm and were told it would be over an hour for a table. I went into the Open table app and got a reservation for 6:15pm. Ridiculous! The food is good the service was average. Took forever to get refills and our dessert. They were not even busy that evening.
Horrible food at a horrible price.
The food was excellent, as always. However, there were three other tables in our room that who were EXTREMELY LOUD & NOISY !!
We celebrated Easter with my family and a friend. Fun
Buca is a friendly place. There's something on the menu to please even the pickiest eater. We enjoyed our experience.
The service was very bad. We waited 25 minutes and then had to ask for bread. Our order came out finally, but we had to ask where it was. The spaghetti was overcooked. The manager offered a dessert, but our server didn't even mention it when we asked for the check. (We didn't want it anyway). This visit was so painful we couldn't wait to leave. The server was always smiling, but seemed to not really care at all. We asked to take the rest of dinner home and the server gave us a "do it yourself" container, no bag.
Valentine's Day dinner. Great food as always. Service was a bit slow, but overall very good experience. Would definitely recommend this location in the future.
Good food, great service and affordable dining for a group
Good comfort food and passable Italian food. They frequently offer coupons. Great for when you had a long day at work and don't feel like cooking.
Date night. A lot of good food very pleased
Not our best experience. Food is usually much better. Service was ok but not great. Not as good as it used to be.
Overall bad experience. Service took 39 minutes to bring first round of beverages and didn't bring correct ones. On top of that she tried to pawn off different brand liquor then requested due to not having instead of telling us. Food was below average for what we expected and the portions normally very large were less than expected. In addition the food arrived at different temps and different times. One of the servers was at the table next to us three times before our waitress came once.
I would like the manager to call me.
Booked this for New Year's Eve - they handled the crowd well and service was outstanding. Food was good and filling, and enabled us to take a doggie bag home to enjoy another evening!
Annual New Year's Eve dinner! Overall, always a great experience.
Food is good but service has declined
Although we arrived about 3 minutes early I received an email, while we were eating, that the restaurant had cancelled our reservation. Thankfully the staff at Open Table were able to reinstate it so that we received the points. Not ideal.
WELL DONE AGAIN."I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home.
Great place, makes you feel like home!!! Large family style portions to the meal. Great for large group fun. Food is very good. Love the booths but little uncomfortable after hour or so. If your picking up the check bring your plastic.
We enjoyed the food and our waitress was right on taking care of our guests in a timely manner.
Out Christmas shopping and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Went to open table to see if we could snag a last minute reservation for a nice meal and stumbled on to this place. Showed up on time and they could not find our reservation and ended up marking us a no show to open table. Which was corrected. The decor and ambience of this place is just sad. The horrid carpet was filthy, the walls are covered with so much junk that is meant to be nostalgic but just looks tacky. We ordered two different pasta dishes, a salad and garlic bread with mozzarella. My husband was disgusted as the parm cheese shaker on the table was filthy. Salad came out and the lettuce was soggy. Server brought our entree and told us to enjoy, however she only brought one. She didn't come back around until we were halfway through eating and my husband asked where the other pasta dish was. She came back several minutes and said that our stuffed shells were still frozen. We told her to cancel the item and we were totally annoyed. Clearly she had forgot our order. The manager did come over and apologized and did send the pasta home with us for free, which was nice. Pasta is simply boxed pasta and the sauce tastes like it came from a jar. We both felt it was a bizarre dining experience and I can assure you that we will not be going back. Also, I made a trip to the ladies room. Outdated with a faucet that dripped and did not run when I was washing my hands. Curious to know how female food workers achieve clean hands with the faucet issue. Also, a real classy touch having a sign inside the stall saying "ladies please remain seated for your entire performance". Again, an utterly bizarre dining experience.
Always a good meal with attentive service and good menu selection
portions are ample and food is well prepared and flavored
Nice for sharing
Great for parties
Food was great, as usual! Made reservations online and were seated promptly upon arrival. Server was very attentive; kept the bread coming and checked frequently on our beverages. Had our usual Apple Gargonzola salad (now a family favorite) and this time, we opted for Chicken and Sausage Ziti. Cooked to perfection. The sausage had a little tang to it, but was good nonetheless. Will definitely be returning.
We dined at Buca in Robinson recently. We were seated in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was very busy and to me was noisy with a couple of large groups. The food was ok. Meatballs very good (and large). Garlic bread really overly garlickly (and I like garlic). The service was good and it's a good place to take a group.
