Excellent service and experience! They did wonderful in their service and presentation. Ask for the Kitchen booth for special occasions and get ready for the fun. The Assistant General Manager Norrese was incredible in our overall experience. And of course...Huge portions of food were excellent.
Make sure you're hungry or bring a crowd. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault.
Great family style food. Good for large groups. Delicious shrimp parmesan and the bread is sinfully good
This review is as much about the chain as it is the restaurant. I have been a Buca di Beppo club member for some time and have visited this particular restaurant at least six (6) times in the past year -- probably more. My favorite dish -- by far -- about which I have written numerous times is their lasagna. Sadly, we learned after we were seated that no lasagna was available. Apparently someone came in and bought the entire tray/batch they had prepared. What? Instead of being able to satisfy multiple diners, they sold all the lasagna they made to a single person? What sense does that make? The bigger problem, however, and the reason we won't be returning is the change in the terms of their promotions. They no longer allow gift cards to be used when ordering a promotional item. What? Gift cards are a cash equivalent; I paid cash for the card and should be able to use it like cash -- on anything I want. We're done!
Was a great dinner. We cane there to celebrate my best friends 41st 🎂. We can tell by all of the empty plates that everyone enjoyed their meals.
This is a franchise but still has the feel of an authentic mom and pop Italian restaurant. And did you know that you can request to eat at a table in the kitchen? Seriously, if you are a foodie..ask to eat in the kitchen where you can talk with the chef! Delicious!!
We were celebrating my daughter’s 30th birthday. We requested to sit in the wine room as she loves wine. She had an opportunity to have her favorite bottle of wine autographed with her signature and placed in the ceiling wine rack!! The only problem was the waiter couldn’t find a black sharpie which was disappointing. The wine bottle went up without her signature but was still special to her. Buca makes your birthday feel special and I highly recommend it as a place to celebrate any special occasion. The food was fabulous as always and the service was great.
We sat down at 7:25 for a 7:00 reservation . Never got our salad until after 8:00 and never got entrees until 9:00. The waitress was friendly but did not seem to grasp how long we were sitting.
Always fun at Buca. Great food and a lot of it. It was very busy last Saturday night but the hostesses did an amazing job handling the guests. I have no idea how they kept their patience with some of the demanding people that night. Our server was fantastic and always available when we needed him. Thanks everyone!
It had been many years since we visited Buca di Beppo and honestly can say it will be many more before we return. While we had a 7 PM reservation for a party of 6, the waiting area was very full and we did not sit until after 7:30. Admittedly, this was a Saturday night, but it appeared that the kitchen was unable to keep up. Our waiter was friendly, but it seemed as if there was a lot of tension among the staff. Again, it seemed as if the kitchen was poorly prepared for the evening because our food did not arrive until almost 9PM and was barely warm - like it was sitting under a heat lamp for extended period. Sadly, the issues were was not unique to us as there were frustrated patrons all around us.
Worst buca experience, made a reservation only to have to wait an addl 40 minutes once at the restaurant.
Had a new server that the manager informed she was firing that night, he shouldn’t have been serving to begin with.
Don’t bother with this location it was bad all around, corporate needs to come in and start over at this location, current employees and management don’t know what a buca should be.
The service was absolutely terrible and very slow!
Be sure to join Buca's club -- I get high value offers (e.g., $20 off any bill) regularly. The lasagna is superb. We order the small and take leftovers home for another meal.
It was Valentines Day, but the service and food were still superb. Samantha was the best server we’ve had, and the others have been exceptional.
Had our Valentines dinner here. Our first time visiting. The food was very good and plentiful. We will be back again. I'd rate 8 of 10.
I really enjoy the spaghetti at Buca de Beppo. I like their sauce in fact I usually have to requests more of it. We had excellent service.
Overall we had a very nice time. The food was excellent and the portions are huge. My wife loved her seafood dish and I had the lasagna with meatballs. We were disappointed with the tiramisu. It did not taste very fresh & was a bit frozen.
Our server on this night was helpful, however our chicken carbonara took so long to get to our table it has lost its taste appeal sat under the lamp for too long. We realize it was busy that night but Buca has always had outstanding food and service even when busy.
waited 2 hours and 45 mins for our food. terrible service. we have a 2 year old so it was a very unpleasant experience.
Nice place to eat. Take the tour if you have never been. It was good.
Food mediocre
Service was good
Took a LONG time to get our food and the place was not busy AT ALL
When walking through to our table it was a mess
Tables were dirty and not picked up. Upon checking in we have to wait a solid 5 minutes before the hostess even showed up.
Paid WAY to much for what we got got
Food is great but not meant to be eaten alone. We were put in one of the front rooms and it was a little cold but other than that it was great and Austin was a wonderful waiter.
This was -- by far -- the WORST experience I have ever had at this Buca di Beppo...and we have eaten here quite often. We had a group of 15 regarding which we made the restaurant aware by making a reservation which specifically requested a server good with groups and kids. It took a good 40 minutes just for drinks to be delivered! At the same time, food came out for 4 of our party when the others hadn't even had their orders taken yet! I had to ask for bread to be delivered to our table while the other 11 waited for their food and when it was finally brought to the table, I had to get dipping oil, etc. from one of the serving stations because none was brought. I finally talked to the manager who was kind enough to adjust our bills but not before an awful impression had been made on 4 families who I had brought to Buca di Beppo. It's fair to say this restaurant lost many future customers because of this disastrous meal!
Ugh where do I start? So after all my family moved away, we started a tradition about four years ago of going to Buca di Beppo for New Years Eve dinner. Aside from that it has commonly been a choice for birthdays and other special occasions. So you could say we are somewhat regular customers. However I have never had an experienec like the one I had on December 31, at Buca, nor at many other places. So we arrived at Buca at about 6:10 pm, a fee minutes late for our reservation. After a few minutes we were seated. Our table had menus but no place settings. After about 15 minutes our server finally appeared and took our order. The first red flag should have been when I ordered our appetizer and was informed that they were out of shrimp and mushrooms. At 6:30 pm on New Years Eve they are out of shrimp and mushrooms. Poor planning, much? So anyway a few minutes later our salad appeared but still no plates, silverware, or drinks. We had to ask for those from whoever we could several times. Then after a while our appetizer came. And that was it. For like an hour. Eventually one of our entrees a plate of meatballs, was brought out... to the wrong table. Those people were kind enough to bring it over to us. Fast forward to two hours in, we never received the rest of our entrees, despite being promised they’d be out “soon” several times. Our server never once bothered to check if our drinks needed refills either, in two hours time! A manager was consoling a few other tables that were experiencing similar issues, but she never bothered to check on us. Finally after getting ing one more promise that the entrees would be out soon, I said “Just give me the bill”. So now over two hours in we never got our main dish and had a very disappointing experience. I have loved Buca in the past but honestly it was so bad this time I’m not sure if we’ll be back. I did give 3 stars on the food quality because what food we recieved was still pretty good.
I am 32 years old and it was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant - ever. All the members of our party agreed. We actually thought we were on Candid Camera or something because we thought this can NOT be real life. It would take me an hour to tell you everything that went wrong.
We made a reservation and sat down at 5:30 pm. We didn't get our food until almost 7:00 pm. (2) out of the (4) dishes came out cold and dry - like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. We asked for one of them to be done over. We ate the 2nd cold dish as we were all starving. Our server was great however she was working the entire bar and the 5 tables in the bar area. She was running around like crazy - but the kitchen staff was not able to keep up with her. She told us that (3) of the Managers were cooking in the back.
Buca is not exactly cheap and we were very disappointed with the quality of food that we received. It was not really edible. Cold - dry - and not seasoned properly. The spicy chicken pasta dish did not have any spices on it. It was a common theme throughout the restaurant - not sure if they were not properly staffed or what the problem was. I heard many people complain and I also heard they received complimentary bread or food - we did not. It will be a long time before (or if ever) that I return there.
Our server Michael was not pleasant
We where here for Christmas Eve and they were really slow. Waited over an hour for our food and half of it was cold. They ran out of high chairs and spoons. We go to this location pretty often and have never had bad service until this time.
great staff we had an awesome family evening
looking forward to our next visit
Business meal
The good, the bad and the ugly: The good? The lunch portions were huge! The bad? Service was very slow and the restaurant wasn't even crowded. The party in the adjoining booth almost left after waiting more than an hour for their food. The ugly? The spicy chicken rigatoni was not at all spicy...was something omitted? We "fixed" it by adding red pepper flakes but it was disappointing.
Buca di Beppo's lasagna is terrific. Hint: join Buca's club to receive regular offers for up to 50% off!
2:30 seating for Thanksgiving. Waiter was very polite and attentive but did not tell us the salad was $14.99 extra. Ordered the Thanksgiving Feast for three. Was plenty of food. Turkey was slightly dry. In addition there was cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing. Pumpkin pie hadn’t thawed out all the way when it was served.
I did not think that the food was terrific. The chicken saltimbocca was dry. I was very surprised that for the money, it did not come with pasta and salad, the way an individual plate would. If I had ordered one plate to feed three people, it would not as there was 3 pieces of chicken. Overall I thought the prices were outrageous. I ordered 2 drinks that were 13.00 a piece which was ridiculous for a small drink. The veal parmesan was pretty good, but again for the price, it was not that much food. The muscles Bianca was great as well as the fried calamari.
Overall, I would not go back it is not worth the money and the food was not great. The atmosphere was nice though. Our server Mark was fantastic though.
Have I mentioned that I love Buca's lasagna? If you're new to Buca's dining concept, it takes a little getting used to. Everything (including salad!) is served "family style" meaning you can easily over-purchase. Plan to take leftovers home and it's pretty easy to get 2 dinners and 2 lunches out of an order of a small salad and a small entree (which will set you back $38).
We had a birthday party for a member of the family and had a great time.
We were a party of 2. This is NOT the place to eat if you are "only 2" and do NOT want leftovers. Our service was slow and there were lots of apologies to the neighboring table for serving all their appetizers and salad WITH their entree. We skipped the entry and just ordered a "small" salad and a "small" entry. Our pasta was a little over cooked. But the meal arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The drink order, drink service, and bread were slow. We did get dessert to go and their cheesecake is really great.
Service was horrible, very slow our waitress was too busy to give us attention.
Buca has always been one of our favorite restaurants but this latest visit really disappointed us. The quality of the food was not as good and the prices were higher. We ordered several dishes, all of which did not meet the standards that have been set based on our previous visits. The Baked Rigatoni and Chicken Parm were dry and pretty flavorless. The Spaghetti and Meatballs were just okay - nothing to rave about. At their prices, I'm not sure if Buca will stay in our dining rotation list or not.
Great service and enjoyed meal.. especially lasagne.
