Buca di Beppo - Park Lane Ratings and Reviews
Took 9 members of my family to Buca to celebrate my wife's birthday. Unfortunately, I miscounted our attendance as I did not count my beautiful 1 year old granddaughter in our group. My wife chastised me, but the maitre d' was gracious and worked to accommodate the addition. Our waiter, Frank, did an outstanding job and was very attentive throughout the evening. The family style dining was fun, as each member of the party was able to sample multiple dishes, starting with the Buca Trio Platter, with stuffed mushrooms, fried calamari and cheese sticks. My fav entree was the Shrimp fra Diavolo. Overall, great evening, I would recommend Buca for not only the food, but the outstanding experience.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. We have been to Buca in 3 different cities, and none have disappointed. This time it was only my wife and I, so we had plenty of extra food even though we ordered small portions; the restaurant is definitely geared toward groups.
I took my husband here for his birthday. Buca serves family style meals so eveything is for sharing. We had the chicken cabonara and ravioli with meatsauce. Needless to say, we had leftovers for lunch. Our server, Paul, was friendly and very attentive. He even brought over a candle to go along with our collosal sundae (which is AWESOME, the picture does it no justice) for my husband to blow out. We enjoy dining here and will be back.
The food came out incredibly fast. The service at another location had impressed us, and this one surpassed our expectations based on our previous experience. The food was at a great temperature and was delicious. Our server knew the menu well and was very helpful in our questions about portion sizes and how much to order.
To get to our table, the hostess had to take us through the kitchen. Why would you want guests to walk through the kitchen? The area was not free from clutter, so I believe that practice is an accident waiting to happen. For lunch, we ordered the spinach salad and lasagna. The peaches in the salad were still frozen. The lasagna was dry and appeared to be a frozen product that was thawed and then reheated. I would choose a Stouffer's frozen lasagna dinner over a Buca's lasagna any day. Overall, it was "ok," but I would not go back anytime soon.
I had never been to Buca di Beppo before and was worried that it would be a typical "chain" Italian restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. Although their menu included many dishes that can be found in other Italian restaurants, Buca di Beppo put a unique spin on each dish that I tried. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The service was very entertaining and accommodating. All the servers that helped me enhanced my dining experience by creating a fun atmosphere and were very knowledgeable about the menu.
It was Valentine's Night and our party of two had a 7p reservation made through OpenTable. We arrived at Bucca Di Beppa park Lane at 6:50p. Two other couples with 7p reservations walked in after 7p and were seated before us. The Hostess sat our party of two at a four top next to a family of six with small children...really? When we asked to be seated in the same area at the other two couples (who were sat before us and who were late for the 7p reservations) she said that those tables were reserved. Perhaps Bucca Di Beppa should tell OpenTable about "their" reserved seating policy. The evening went downhill from there.
I went here with my hubby on Valentine's day. We had reservations at 2pm. This was such a lovely cozy spot for a nice quiet, romantic lunch. I ordered the chicken limone which was a tender breast with a butter lemon sauce served with alfredo fettuccine. It was delicious! My hubby ordered the oven-roasted salmon with a creamy pesto sauce with steamed seasoned broccoli. It was scrumptious! I actually loved his entree more than mine. We also ordered cheese garlic bread with fresh roasted garlic on top and it was wonderful. For drinks I had a peach bellini (too sweet for my taste but good) and my hubby ordered cranberry juice with patron. Our waiter Danny was very polite, attentive and funny. Can't wait to go back, the menu is wonderful.
This was my first time to Buca di Beppo & it will probably be my last, the service I had was a hellified experience, it took forever for our server, Christian to come to the table & greet us, then he started acting real boushie, he is VERY PREJUDICE & DOESN'T LIKE BLACK PEOPLE & HE SHOWED IT THROUGH HIS ACTIONS, HE ALSO HAS A SMART MOUTH, EVERY TIME WE ASKED HIM A QUESTION HE WOULD SMART OFF WITH US & JUST WALK AWAY FROM OUR TABLE. WE ALSO NOTICED HOW FRIENDLY HE WAS TO THE TABLE IN FRONT OF US WITH THE WHITE PEOPLE, HE REFUSED TO COME BACK TO OUR TABLE, WE HAD TO ASK OTHER SERVERS TO BRING US REFILLS ON OUR DRINKS, THE FIRST BATCH OF BREAD THAT CHRISTIAN BROUGHT WAS COLD, WE HAD TO GET HOT BREAD FROM ANOTHER SERVER.
Someone in table behind us spilled their drink and when I got up to leave, the drink was under my chair. It made it very slippery. Your waiters were very friendly and we had lots of fun. I found it a little crowded and loud, but we just screamed like everyone else. :) Awesome food, large portions. Will definitely go back!
This was my second experience with Buca di Beppo and both locations I had the pleasure of dining in seem to excel in service (particularly the wait staff). Our waiter obiously loved his job which makes for a nice remembrance. Be ready to take food home though due to such large portions. Everything is served family style so quantity is a big feature (especially if you're thinking of taking a group). Overall I would say their restaurants are worhty of frequent visits. The atmosphere is cozy, food and service excels, leaving you with the thought "I think I'll come back".
Waiter was bad. Didn't greet went straight to what drinks did we want. Brought second basket of bread when we were done eating. Although other waiters were bring out bread our claimed there was none. When I told him that he denied there being bread and brought out an empty bin. It was Christmas so I didn't want to complain further because my kids were there.
