Went here for dinner with my wife and daughter on a weekday. We'd been to this Buca a few times before but not recently and we gave it a shot because we wanted some decent Italian - and I know they always have good cold beer.
The beer was still cold but the service and food was terrible. The waiter was hyperactive and disappeared for long periods.
I doubt I will return.
The service was great. Everyone was very helpful and in a very good mood.
We celebrating moms birthday. The wait staff was very helpful. I recommend this restaurant for groups.
Me and my wife came here for a late promotion date which she got in her company, we love the food and atmosphere and the fact that there is more than just your basic spaghetti and meatballs recipe here. Great service and food. Must try the colossal sundae!
great food and moderately priced. Good place to take a large family!
Horrible service. Party of 8 and they sat us in an crowded area. I couldn't even move my chair cause we were up against another large party. Two other tables we're sat and had their drinks before us. I had to hunt down the host so.he could find us a waiter since apparently the waitress in our area was too busy. Finally got bread, it was ice cold. Waited another 10 minutes for drinks. Food was bland. Waiter forgot one of our meals, probably because he didn't write anything down. Totally bad exoerience. The only thing that was do e right was being seated close to our reservation time.
We took my Mom for Mothers day and the meal was great, the service was great. Unfortunately because it was Mother's Day we could only stay so long but were able to enjoy our meals before getting it packed up to leave. Although my family was late, they still accommodated us as best as possible. I probably wouldn't go for Mother's Day again. But, would go on a regular day.
Some of the best chain Italian food you will find. The decorations and wait staff are fun and the food if good and consistent .
Multiple times in many cities we have had this delicious food. Thank you again for the wonderful food. We had a great time!
Excellent menu, great flavor and huge portions. Every time we dine here we have to take food home and it's always consumed! Funky atmosphere and the staff has been trained to make you feel important and happy you came. I would recommend for family's looking for great Italian without breaking the bank. Enjoy.
Worst experience we have ever had. We can understand when businesses are busy but the services was down right terrible from getting water refills, drinks, ordered , to pre bussing the table. The best part was when we received are credit cards backs!
We went as a group of 18 and were immediately seated and the service was fast and friendly. LOVE IT!
Our waiter was very attentive he knew the menu I'm a great suggestions I made sure our first experience was a great experience
This is our favorite location
Delicious. Plates were huge ... I had left over for a week..
Food is amazing. Enough said.
My wife and I were very disappointed with the over all experience. This being a family style restaurant we expected the small portion recommended for two or three people to feed us adequately. It was just enough for one person. Second, the veal dish we ordered was over cooked and dry. Third, the overall price/value ratio was not acceptable. We will not be back.
Many large tables. Always room to sit and be comfortable.
Veal was tough. Hated to complain but chef needed to know.
Everything else and the bartender servers were great. We came in for Sat night early Valentines Day dinner and enjoyed ourselves.
They comp'd it even though that's not the reason I mentioned it.
I believe the management wants to know when there is a let down in quality.
We have eaten with you for years and will continue too.
However, I Will ask about the veal before I order it again.
We were seated promptly upon arrival. Restaurant was not too crowded for a Friday evening. We had very attentive, but not overwhelming or intrusive service. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered questions. It was a good birthday dinner for my son.
Less than expected experience.
6:10 - The greeting for our 615 reservation was "we have a table but will you be done by 730?" That doesn't sound welcoming. It's akin to asking a visiting relative when they are leaving even before they set their luggage down.
To add insult to injury, a 6:30 reservation (same size party) that came in after us was seated before us and at a better table.
Our waiter was adequate. Forgot a few things [water, bread (asked three times), extra napkins]. But overall, pleasant and accommodating.
The food was good. However, it was overpriced (especially the appetizers). I say overpriced because for an additional $25-30 more for our group of four persons and you have the total on your bill from a typical Dallas foodie establishment filled with top notch service and food.
Would not recommend this eatery mostly for the pricing. Less for the inadequately trained front staff. For the pricing, one would expect courteous staff throughout, clean seats (there were crumbs), appropriately spaced reservations.
Frankly, I am puzzled why this restaurant has not closed down. Dallas is an extremely competitive city restaurant wise.
... this is a restaurant for a family or large groups. I don't recommend this for just a party of 2 unless you eat lots and lots of food, rather pasta. We each like to order a different dish so we can share. That's not advisable here unless you plan on taking home dinner for another night at home. Like I said, food was great.
Great service, delicious food. The red sangria was excellent and plentiful. One of our favorite places.
Good place to take family.
I have had better food and service at Olive Garden.
Overall, my wife and so love Buca di Beppo. However, this location was our least favorite. It could have just been the time we went - 4:30 on a Sunday - but I was displeased with the restaurant. We ordered our usual - eggplant parmesan - but when it came out the sauce was cold and tastes stale/freezer burned. It was definitely off from the usual. When we explained this to our waitress and, while accommodating our needs, was unapologetic and didn't offer a good customer experience as you would expect. Service before and after was sub par. Our replacement food was delicious.
Food and family portions were good and fun. Service was terrible this visit. We did have a larger party so I understand some of it. However I had to hand out plates for my own guests and bus my own table during the meal. Also forgot some orders but they would fix it when pointed out.
We went for dinner on NYE and were able to get a reserveration at their peak dinner hour so we were understanding when the service was not as good as usual. We loved the relaxed environment and family-style setting. My group ordered several entrees and we were all able to sample a heaping helping from each one. I would highly suggest bringing a group as their entrees feed upwards of 4 people and as always, the more the merrier.
My family and I went to Bucca di Beppo for Christmas dinner this year (2015). We were thankful that they were open on the holiday, but were disappointed with the service. We'd made a reservation in advance, but despite that, we weren't seated for at least 45 minutes after our reservation time. Once we were seated, it seemed like it took years for the waiter to come back to even collect our drink orders, and then another decade passed before we got to order our food. Definitely, the restaurant was very busy, so I can understand that things would be delayed, but the delays were excessive. The food was alright. The best dish was the pizza... But the pastas were underwhelming. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going to Bucca di Beppo on a busy holiday, unless you have all the time in the world.
I went here for Christmas day and had experience. The staff was friendly and the food was very good.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. RESERVATIONS FOR 1:00 AND RIGHT ON TIME, FOOD AND
SERVICE WERE ABSOLUTELY GREATNESS AND WE WILL BE BACK. THANK YOU BUCA
Drinks were in paper cups. When the waiter refilled the drinks, he put one paper cups inside of the other, refilled the cups, and returned the drinks to to the table. Yuck! For dinner, paper napkins instead of cloth. There was nothing special about the food. The service was mediocre at best. I made a reservation and was seated in the Bar area. The hostess told me that it was because I made the reservation on line. REALLY? I have had much better food and superb service at Olive Garden even when I elected to sit in the Bar area.
The quality of the food was great
We have been here many times, including several Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. This Thanksgiving was disappointing. We came mid afternoon to avoid the press of noon or evening. We were seated right away, and it was not crowded, but service was very slow. It just was not the great experience of prior years.
Very large portions that are good for multiple people to share. The food was very good, it was perfect for our large group.
Good service, good ambiance but average food :-/
I have visited at least (5) different Buca di Beppo locations- NY, Chicago, Huntington Beach CA, Santa Monica -CA, Grapevine TX. The Park Lane location's food was by far the worse- there was no seasoning or sauce in my baked Ziti... My guests complained that their food lacked seasoning as well.
Despite the poor tasting good, the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was nice as expected. I was very surprised that the food was not up to par.
The food was great! The portion was great! The price was a bit over my budget BUT for the quantity, it is very reasonable. The bread is awesome. Not much variety but because I am a very indecisive person when it comes to eating out at a new place- this was perfect for me :). I loved it!!
While the mixed greens salad and garlic rolls were very good, the baked ziti was unremarkable. What's more, the waiter all but insisted we choose the ziti instead of the three other options in the 4 for $40 coupon special.
Fun, friendly place to bring the entire family-grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles and cousins. Feels like you are sitting at your dining table at home. A great place to share love, laughs and great food!
