We dined here for Mother's Day and had a great time. They accommodated our large group with no problems at all!
Great food. Took a long time to get our meal because the first order was overcooked and the server made the decision to not even bring it out. Appreciate her attentiveness to the quality of the food, which was very good when it came, but cooking a second meal led to a very long lunch.
Mother's Day with kids. Good value
Mother's Day brunch with our family... it has also hosted our family for gatherings and rehearsal dinners. It's a fun place and the food is delicious!
This place is the best Italian food that I've ever had.
We had a great time! Family came into town we had to book a last minute reservation for 10 people which is a hassle for the staff (sorry for that) but everything was perfect food was delicious, service was excellent and friendly, especially with understanding we were talkative. I don't remember the servers name but she was fantastic! A great place especially for families! We will certainly be back!
We celebrated our 35th anniversary, and were amazed that their manager, other wait staff, as well as our server all knew - and stopped to talk with us! It was a Monday night, slow for them, but that made it better for us!
Very unique and cozy restaurant, good for all ages, family oriented.
We celebrated a birthday. Noise level was very loud and the room was hot. Service was pretty good but food came out sporadically. Waitstaff was pleasant.
Buca had two seafood specials for Lent - shrimp scampi and clams in white sauce. We had clams last week, so we had scampi tonight. Both were very tasty - and I've had bad versions of both, so I was pleasantly surprised that both were so tasty. It's a shame they are just seasonal specials. Service is good, and the decor is worth the trip, as long as you don't mind being constantly distracted by something else you notice on the wall. Or the ceiling.
It took us fifteen minutes to be greeted. I did like the chicken Parmesan but our appetizer and pasta sides were lukewarm. When we went to use our Groupon, the waitress complained that we were yet another table to offer this inconvenience.
It was our family night out with the children and again the place was wonderful! My children enjoyed the family style eating....definitely will be in the family night out rotation
Just enjoyed everything about the entire experience! Definitely will be back! Lots of food! Groups are definitely encouraged to stop in
Dined at this restaurant for the first time and was impressed with the quality of food, service, and friendliness of the staff. The quality of the meal was excellent, served piping hot, and the size of the portions required take home boxes. My date and I will be dining here on a regular basis.
It was pretty loud and the server was a bit busy, but it was Valentines Day. Very romantic and fun.
Bland taste on food ordered... HUGE heart lasagna... lot of it Cesar salad was best part... garlic toast was moist with butter or garlic oil...
Great place for family sharing. Love the eccentric deco.
Food was good but service was lousy. Checked in under my diminutive first name and full last name. Was told they did not see my reservation. Rudely told me... I have a reservation for Michael (last name omitted), John (last name also omitted), or Deborah (with the last name I gave them). I said that would be me. Made us wait without explanation and then seated us in the bar. Waited 20 minutes for someone to offer us water or said they'd be serving us. Server basically tossed plates at us when we needed them, only refilled drinks if we request a refill on an empty glass, and offered us more bread but never brought it. Then, when we were done brought our check without offering dessert. When I asked if they had dessert, she chastised me that I should have said something earlier. Wow!
This was a terrible experience most of all because of its customer service. I honestly don't know who or server was because we kept having to stop different waiters just to take our order or get us more water. The wait was incredibly long for our food to come. It was for my brothers birthday and not only did we have to ask several times to please being extra plates but when the 4th waiter of the night finally brought them he asked if he could take some cake with him! Honestly I will never go back and I'm embarrassed I even suggested it to celebrate my brothers birthday.
My kids got a kick out of the wall art & photos. The server really catered to our family of 5 and knew how to make the evening enjoyable for us all.
Our waiter was very attentive without being overbearing. Our group of six enjoyed the selections we chose, were able to visit easily and definitely would return. We drove from Cleburne and Rockwall to be able to enjoy our get together!
We were traveling home from Phoenix via DFW to Austin Christmas night. Made a reservation with Open Table and they were able to accomodate it even though they were booked solid. Kudos to both Open Table and Buca for making it happen. The food was great and perfect for a Christmas meal.
Great Christmas dinner. Lupe was our server and she was great. We had a large party and she was very attentive
We had our Christmas Day meal at Buca de Beppo instead of cooking for 4 people. We got seated quickly at the time of our reservation. Warm bread was brought to our table right away. Our server was pleasant and efficient. We had one spicy dish - awesome! Always enjoy the apple salad. The lasagna was good too.
Slooooow kitchen and the place was only moderately busy. Service was erratic. Food was great although the broccoli had too much garlic. The amount of roasted potatoes could have been a little more.
Horrible service. Had a reservation and we were sat in the bar where the bartender was our wait staff. 20 min to get drinks - after appetizer and salad arrived. Horrible experience.
Incredibly slow service. Took :20 to get drinks and :50 to get food. I think their waitstaff and kitchen were overwhelmed but don't understand how with restaurant less than half full and dinner at 5:45?
We stepped out for 2 mins to meet with the AAA guy who was there to fix our flat tire and our leftover togo box was trashed. It was literally 2 mins and when we came back in to ask for it and the waitress unapologetically said 'Anytime left behind gets automatically trashed.' Never coming back here.
Family event with a party of 13 was treated with speedy service and great food
I brought 15 family members out with kids. Good place have a big meal with large number of members. It was good to be out.
We were celebrating my sister-in-laws birthday and had a group of 10 people. I had to get up and get my mother-in-law a plate for appetizers because they brought too few to the table and our waitress didn't come around. The food was average and service was poor, will not go back to this location.
Buca at Frisco is much better at service and food was as good if not better.
The Thanksgiving Feast was delicious. The stuffing was amazing. My husband was in a wheel chair and we had a slight issue getting him at the table but we were able to work through it We were there at the right time before it got to busy and crazy.
Our server, David, was awesome! He was attentive and made our experience better than our expectations.
Always a great place no matter the occasion!!!
We enjoyed our visit to Buca. Everything was good, except the spicy Chicken Rigatoni had very little chicken in it and was a little dry. The Lemon Chicken and the Sausage Rigatoni were both good, as was the cheese bread and the Buca Salad with the apples. It is the best.
Horrible experience. My friends put together a Bachelorette dinner for me here and when we asked for the reservation we asked for an exclusive seating arrangement because we did not want to offend any one around us. We arrived and noticed that there was a room that was a nice fit, however they told us that it was already reserved for the night and we were sat in a corner in the back. First off, it was HOT AND HUMID IN THIS BACK CORNER. We were a total of 11 and we only had one server who had other tables as well. We obviously weren't made aware that we had to special request a song??? I spoke to someone over the phone twice before the actual event and this was never mentioned. We noticed 3 other parties being celebrated by the restaurant and when we asked our waiter he told us he would not sing and most of the other waiters were gone for the night so he did not want to do it alone. BUT yet a waitress who had 5 minutes before that, mentioned to us that they could also sing for bridal parties, just as she was about to sing for a party next to us. On top off all of this, we left at closing time, and the room that was reserved that we requested....HAD NEVER BEEN TOUCHED, NO ONE HAD RESERVED IT. I am beyond disappointed in this restaurant. First and last time here.
I had a very good experience. The food was good and the service was great.
I am unable to give 5 stars because of the following:
I had a large party (30+ people), and the stipulations for large parties was inconvenient and took away from my experience. It was my birthday dinner and I had to take time out of hosting to collect the money of my guests. This collection should not be imposed on restaurant guests. Outside of this, I had a good experience.
Food OK -- Reservation Policy Pathetic.
We always enjoy the food at Buca -- that is, once we've been seated. I continue to wonder why open table maintains a relationship with this chain. They don't care if you have a reservation time. They seat you when it's convenient. If they are poorly staffed any one day the seating/wait time can vary by as much as an hour or more. This time we only waited for 15 minutes, which at Buca is practically on time. I personally find their policy insulting. They should tell people they don't take reservations, rather than taking reservations and then when you show up on time, tell you they will do their best to seat you as soon as possible.
It took 15 min for anyone to come over our table after we were seated. It took another 10 min to get our drinks. It took another 20 min to get food. Nobody came over after food was served. Servers were more attentive to get around for singing happy birthday when neglected customers with empty drinks. We had to get up twice to get to-go box for ourselves in the kitchen because the first time requested was promised without delivered. We waited for our bill for 25 min. If this is the service you are looking forward to, I will strongly recommend you stay at home or go anywhere but here.
The food was good, but the noise level was VERY high, too high.
