This place has good service. They accommodated our service dog and were able to seat us in a table away from the crowd. Our server was also very friendly. There was a problem with my order though. I ordered the salmon but emphasized repeatedly that I am allergic to dairy therefore not to put sauce. Anyway, it took a very long time for my salmon dish to arrive (the rest of my family was already halfway done with their meals) and when it arrived, it was swimming in the lemon butter sauce. When I raised the concern, I overheard the server tell the kitchen staff that he had requested the sauce be on the side. So then they had to cook me a whole new order of salmon and that took a long time again. Plus the salmon was overcooked, I'm guessing because they had to rush it so that I wasn't the only one in my party left to eat after my family was done eating.

Everything was very good except they brought the salad and pasta dishes at the same time. It would be nice to have 10 minutes to enjoy my salad before bringing the pasta.

We came to share a double birthday, and I’d even mentioned it in the reservation. Unfortunately the service for most of the time was extremely poor. Towards the end another waiter helped us, and he was wonderful. He asked the table next to us if anyone was celebrating anything, of course they had a birthday, and no one had done that with us. One of our orders came out wrong, so this gentleman fixed it right away. The server before him couldn’t get or drink order down correctly and when something wasn’t available, she waited 20 minutes to notify us. Overall it was just okay.

Our basic meal of spagetti and meatballs was okay, except the picture in the menu had 3 meatballs and we received two. Oh well.
As we sat and ate our meal we noticed that NO ONE was cleaning the tables of those that had eaten and left. By the time we finally finished there were at least 5 booths/tables with dirty utensils sitting on the tables waiting to be removed. We also saw a number of the same (utensils left on tables) in oother parts of the restuarant as we departed. This is not an environment conducive for enjoyable eating!!
In addition the bathrooms are in need of immediate attention. The hardware needs to be replaced with better working equipment and the bathroom inself should be cleaned/picked up after on a more regular basis than it seems to be right now.
I would not go running back to here in the immediate future.

It was our son's 18th birthday and we have been going to this restaurant for years but something has definitely happened to management .........the entire staff from the rude front desk agent to stressed out barman to our very arrogant server were all extremely unprofessional and unfriendly and under qualified !!!!!! No manager on duty....the place has gone wild !!!! We weren't even offered an icecream treat for my son's birthday. Our group of 11 people left disappointment by the way we were treated and will never go back.......the staff was horrific !!!!

They were not serving certain items because the server said the kitchen was too busy, then the food came out cold and bland. Server was standing and talking instead of checking in on his tables. Usually they are a lot better, just terrible this visit.

Very poor experience. New Year's Eve -- we made a reservation, they confirmed, we arrived a few minutes early and were seated fairly quickly. But -- it took at least 10 minutes for a waiter to appear and after that an hour for the food to arrive and one of our orders was wrong. All along all the waitstaff and hostess were talking about how slammed they were with phone orders. The phone orders seemed to take precedence over everyone who thought ahead, made reservations and expected a decent meal. Never again.

My experience was awful. This restaurant is not clean. The staff seem overwhelmed. Although the portions are large, the prices are high for the quality of the food. I would dine at Olive Garden or Maggiano’s.

After the Stanford football game, I took the family here for some family style pasta and salad. Very consistent. Nice friendly service.

We had the Thanksgiving dinner menu and it was very good. The food came very quick but the salad that was separate took a little bit. Didn't see the waiter very often; restaurant was very busy and I think the waiter was new. We enjoyed our time there.

The spaghetti here is my favorite. Unfortunately I think they changed the marinara sauce. Or maybe it was just prepared wrong. Also when the dish was served the noodles were hard and pasty. We asked for a new one. The noodles were better on the second one but, the sauce was mushy. The meatballs and chicken limone were good. We might try a different Buca next time. Because, if that's how the sauce is supposed to be. We won't be ordering again. The server was very nice and understanding about it. I can't say the same about the hostess, she was rude as if she hated her job. When we checked in for our reservation she acted as if we were bothering her. She told us other reservations we're being checked in and we had to wait. And she was acting like that with other patrons. Some she even turned away. One couple was told no walk-ins being taken. While another couple was told walk-ins weren't being accepted till 830pm. At that time was about 710pm. Very unfriendly.

We went there as a group of 7 - parents and friends of a couple who are getting married today and found it to be very reasonably priced. Order several of the small dishes and share - it's family style! Plenty to eat and lots of time to enjoy conversation as a group.

Arrived on-time for early lunch reservation. Was asked to wait at Host counter to be seated, and after waiting several minutes, was finally seated by our server. He was apologetic and very friendly while taking our orders. Soup/salads were served promptly. Entrees took awhile, but that was fine. When they did arrive, everyone's order was correct, except mine (I ordered the Baked Ziti lunch). Everyone else was able to eat, but I had to wait for my entrée to be prepared. When it did arrive, it was piping hot out of the oven and very good. Just was disappointed that everyone else was almost done with their meals. Was not able to stay for dessert, so we paid the check and left.

If you have a big group you must go to Buca and have DeWann as a server. We had a party of 19 and he was absolutely incredible. The food was great and we had plenty, but really DeWann was what made our event more special. He was so patient and gave terrible food suggestions and how much to order with a party our size. I highly recommend being seated in his section.

The restaurant was very accommodating in taking our large group (10 guests) with very little notice. However, I felt like the servers (who seemed young and inexperienced) could have provided a little guidance on the quantities of food we ordered. This is a family style restaurant and we had a huge amount of food leftover.

The person assigning tables took 25 min to seat us after our reservation time when there were plenty of tables open. She was quite rude. The floor staff was lounging around chatting and ignoring customers. Our waiter was great but the only one doing anything. The food quality has seriously fallen. Too bad as this was a good family place for a long time. It's not worth the time or $ anymore.

Our family of 4 with 2 young boys frequently come here on weekends. Good pasta, especially the clam linguini and the calamari is wonderful. For birthdays, the waiters gather together and have all the guests sing along with them as they bring the celebrant the cake with a candle. Atmosphere is very family friendly.

Our server and experience was excellent! The food was delicious, from the bread to the friend mozzarella and spaghetti with meatballs. The staff was also very nice, my stomach was upset and one of the managers and my server came to ask if I was alright. They were caring and kind, the best kind of staff there is!! Thank you for a fabulous time we will be back!
