Buca di Beppo - Orland Park Ratings and Reviews
We had never had a bad dining experience until Valentines’s Day. Buca’s has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, our waitress was very inattentive. It took a very long time to get the signature Buca bread and oil. In fact, we were halfway through our surprisingly tasteless Caesar salad. That was followed by extremely tasteless fettuccine Alfredo We couldn’t find the parsley at all. So disappointing.
We are hoping it was just a fluke and that the next time we go to Buca it will be great! Fingers crossed.
Food was good but could have been hotter when served .Desi our server was prompt and attentive .There seemed to be a draft of cold air in the booth we were in that made it uncomfortable .A trip to the bathroom was so terribly cold on a night that was 11 degrees outside felt like it would have been warmer to go in the parking lot .
My friend and I ordered a salad. And she was eating her salad she moved a piece of lettuce and there was a stinkbug underneath the lettuce. We immediately got our waitress and told her about and showed her the bug. She took the plate back to her manager and they both came back out saying that the bug must’ve flown into the salad from the ceiling. My friend and I aren’t stupid, the bug was in the salad when she brought it out to us. Disgusting!
What a horribly managed place. 4 male waiters/hosts hanging around the host table shooting the breeze and trading vulgarities, a harried lady trying to corral them but without success. In order to satisfy the demands of a pushy waiter who demanded to get the " next three tables" we are pushed into a cold, cluttered back room at a table far too large for our party of 5 -- 20 minutes after our reservation. Thanks for ruining my daughter's 11th birthday. We left.
Lasagna and salad were very good, but the server missed a few things. He delivered the salad, but no plates. We waited several minutes wondering if he went to get the plates, but sadly, no. When he arrived back in our room we had to get his attention to ask for plates. He never refilled our wine either. We also had to ask for water, as we were never offered it. The server was friendly, but perhaps needs a little more training.
It was New Year’s Eve so the place was busy but we got stuck in a side room all alone. The waiter struggled to take care of us. Drinks sat empty for long periods. Food came out warm but not hot but still delicious. I just felt forgotten all night. When the waiter did come by we would have to as 2 or even 3 times for a drink or something for the table. Just not my best experience and I have had mostly great ones.
I have never had a problem with my service at Buca until this past trip and I have been going consistently for years! Our waitress misplaced our order and we did not receive our side dish until we finished our main course so we had to take it to go. The food is always delicious and comes out super fast! Never go without a coupon either, considering they are advertised everywhere!
Brought my immediate family (spouse, kids (who are really adults 25,23). We hadn't been there in years (4 or 5) and thought we'd give it a try again. The food reminded me why we haven't gone there in years - over-priced, recipes are not impressive (lots of salt - felt bloated after eating there), and even the deserts were just mildly palatable. Family style restaurants are always hit or miss - but $30 for a plate of ravioli or spaghetti is pretty steep. And before you think I am price - sensitive - I am not. I've got an MBA and am a frugal and a discerning shopper - the marginal utility of this meal compared to others my family goes to isn't there. I can take my family for a meal at Wildfire or (our family favorite) Ottimo in Orland Park, and have a better meal for less - and won't leave feeling like an inflated goodyear blimp.
The service was excellent - a very attentive waitress (Jessica I believe) was our server.
Was not happy with where we were seated, we had a 5 o’clock reservation so we beat the evening rush and we were seated in the bar area. Our table was right under a air vent with cold air blowing out on us. We asked the waitress to see if they can turn the air down, and they turned it down alright to even colder. My mother in law was wearing her jacket at the table. I’m he food was just ok, the pasta was very bland and the chicken was good but a little dry. We had to ask for oil for our bread a couple times. For the price we paid for four people it was not worth it. Won’t be going back there anytime soon and I would not recommend to anyone.
Food was Bland. Waitress was nice, but told us they didn't have special when they did, was rushy when placing our order, and kept removing things from our table before we done. It wasn't noisy because we were sat in an area alone which was cool by us.
Overall, left full but not happy or satisfied. Won't be returning. I gave them 2 stars instead of one, because I've eaten and have dealt with worst at resturants in the past.
My wife and I had a good time. The food was awesome! There was a group of young people sitting by us and were very loud having fun with each other. Our server seemed like she wasn't to enthused about waiting in us to be honest. She tried yo put on a good face but she got away from our table as fast as she could. She didn't even offer us desert. Other than that, the experience was great.
Great food and service! Our server was great with the recommendations, and suggested a lot of good options. The seasonal cocktails we tried we great too. The only complaint is there was a large, large party of like 25 people in the room with us that were incredibly loud.
The food was great however after 10 minutes I had to ask the hostess if we had a waitress. There were only 3 people in our section and the waitress that was serving the other tables never acknowledged us until the hostess pointed us out. We had to ask for bread and plates for our food. I've been to Buca many times this is the first time we've experienced this type of service.
